I miss the 90s. I had a nano, beanie babies, and Sega Genesis. And parting my hair and keeping it in place with that snap hair clip. Those were the days.

I still have my TYs and my Angel Tamagotchi. According to eBay, my pink angel is worth a lot. haha Never had Troll dolls. They annoyed me. 

My childhood!! Awesome. I actually still dig trolls. I have one in a penguin suit. He rocks. I will admit that they are creepy looking, sort of haha

Whoa, I remember carefully looking at the Ty Beanie Baby website when they were all the rage and I swear IT HAS NOT CHANGED! Well, maybe they added a few things back in 2002 like the tabs on the top, and of course added new Beanie Babies in the same tacky, adorable gif style that makes them look like they are floating without a floor over the overly colorful wallpaper. But seriously, I can’t believe that rainbow background is intact.

I still have all my POGs. I don’t know why I kept them… but I have them!
And I miss skip-its… all sorts of fun!!

Also, I hated the trolls and never wanted or had any! Haha. I thought they were embarrassing and scary. In fact, once some old guy offered me one and I just wouldn’t take it no matter what.

Hahahahahaha, I actually just got my huge ass bin of beanie babies down from the attic. I forgot how much I loved them…not like I, you know, got super excited and played with them an entire Saturday afternoon and cancelled seeing a movie with my friend so I could keep playing or anything. Ahem.

…..Did Stretch Artmstrong have a stretchable schlong?  I don’t remember, but maybe it’s because I repressed it.

Hungry Hungry Hippos and Stretch Armstrong both came out in the late 70′s. Most toys always get reintroduced to newer generations. Stretch is going to get another comeback since a new movie is coming out starring Taylor Lautner.

Ah.. I miss these. There is a picture of me as a baby in a pile of my sister’s toys and there are like 9 troll dolls in it. I loved my skip-it and didn’t get a tamagochi until a few years ago. One more thing I don’t miss: the one, the only, the evil : FURBY…creepiest thing I’ve ever seen. Traumatized me as a child. We also named our cat after them. He’s extremely stupid, fluffy and adorable, but dumb and never shuts up.

i love the first one, and i actually just threw out my bag of like 200 pogs like 3 weeks ago honestly. I loved my skip it to.. i also had hungry hungry hippos and beanie babies.

I never had Gak, Skip It, or Stretch. I still have all my Pogs. I had some shiny ones and some Alf ones, and the yin and yang one for sure.

I want a Mr. Bucket. They were being sold at WalMart a couple years back and I kick myself for not getting one, if only because you put your balls in his head and they come out of his mouth.

I totally just bought a tomagachi the other day! Work is really slow so I figured it’d be fun to have one on my key chain for those moments when I’m desperate for activity lol!! And as for the trolls.. I had a cute little pencil-topper one. It had green hair. I loved him so much, probably because he wasn’t big and would be kept in my backpack where I never saw him

oh my gosh. i miss all of these things! I keep trying to find tamagatchi’s i want one so bad still!!! Things I do not miss: FURBIES! I NEEDED to have one, but I wanted to kill it once I had it.

I had a bajillion beanie baby’s ,i think I donated all but a few to charity a few years ago. crazy. i miss the 90′s. Those were the years.

I’ve always wanted a Tamagotchi. My brother had a cool army camouflage one that I used to try and play with all the time. I got the Giga Pet Digital Doggie that I never got into because it played this annoying alarm for any little thing!. Then there was the whole Digimon’s that connected together to fight and the Nano pets. Ahh it got too big.
I remember practically hurting myself all the time with my skip-it. It wasn’t until 1 time I tried to go so fast I fell hard on my face. It still terrorizes me to this day lol.
Ahh POGS! Those were my favorites to collect. I had about a little container that held like 50 of them. I remember having to use a thicker “pog” (I forgot what the real name was, but it started the actual game) and throwing it down on the stack. I don’t remember exactly how to play it, it was just fun to collect lol.

I remember how we use to cheat our way through on the Tamagotchi. Everyone in school had one and it was such a big distraction that our school had to place a ban on Tamagotchis being brought to school, so that if any students were caught with one, it would’ve been confiscated. And since the tamagotchi had to be fed every few hours or so, this ban would’ve killed our tami’s, so everyone learnt to adjust the tamagotchi time so that it would be sleeping during class time and wake up when school was over for the day. This was also how we were able to have them grow up so quickly. ;D

@Loniii@xanga - I still have my beanie collection on my shelf. I remember it got so popular that McDonalds started to give away their beanie collection as a part of the happy meal. They had some pretty cool toys back then.

Yeah, I had one of those Digipets things and it got obese. (I am not lying.) I had a collection of beanie babies and thought one day they will not be worth shit so I gave them away. I had a super soaker 250 and no one on the block messed with me!!

You gotta love those clacker thingies that were pretty annoying but you wanted to do neat stuff with it.

Personally, I LOVE trolls and could live without beanie babies.  Good post, it made me laugh!   Especially gigapets and skip-its.  God, I loved mine.

My 3 year old daughter has Hungry Hungry Hippos. It’s actually made more cheaply than mine was when I was little.

I remember all of these, those were the good days!

I remember all of these except for the Pogs and Stretch Armstrong.  Those might have been popular when I was really young.  I had the Tamagotchi, Beanie Babies, Trolls and a Super Soaker but I remember wanting all the others!

I made my mom take my tamagotchi to work with her because I had summercamp and couldn’t bring it with me. Needless to say, she killed my digital pet =[ lol

I noticed people brought up furbies. I had one of those when I was young and I remember all the scary stories people made up about them….like they attack people. My friend’s mom once put one in the dark hallway and had it talking after she told us this story about it…..my friend and I got so scared haha.

LOVED tomagotchis!  My husband recently found one random one and bought it for me for nostalgia.  I also love Gak. Could never quite get the hang of skip-it.

My sister loved trolls..she had tons of them all over our bedroom.  They are a lot creepier than I remember then being.

All of those definitely, I was also big on the pokemon craze, with the cards and the original gameboy games.

I used to work in a book store that sold Beanies and it was my job as the customer service chick to deal with them (and the lunatics who came in clamoring for them).

One more thing: Stretch Armstrong was actually a gen 2 in the 90s. The original made the rounds in the 70s, when my brother had one, along with Stretch’s scaly nemesis the Stretch Monster.

I was too afraid of it to take the batteries out, so in two hours when it didn’t stop making noise from the closet, I had to have my mom come and disassemble it for me. Then she put it in the garbage.

I miss those, but I did love the trolls. Skip its were so fun!!! I was great with the tamagotchi.

Oh my gosh. This post is so true. I loooved my tamagotchi except I remember not being able to turn it off so when it was time for school you had to give it to a parent to watch…who would then usually not watch it.

I think I had one of those troll dolls once when i was a little girl during the late 90s. The other toys I never even heard of. I mostly had toy dinosaurs and barbies.

I was PISSED as hell after my Tamagachi was stolen…I think I was in third grade when I got it. I had BEGGED Pops to get it for me… man! I loved that thing!…and I adored those little troll guys…so adorable

haha I remember the tamagotchis, super soaker, beanie babies, skip-it, and the troll dolls! I’d keep combing my troll doll’s purple hair and wonder why its hair stood straight up all the time. I agree, they were a bit creepy.

The only one of these that I never heard of is Gak…I always thought the troll things were cute.  But then again, they were never in my room to watch me sleep.  Now Furbies, those things were possessed.  Especially on the rare occasion that they would just wake up and start talking by themselves…eeep.

I also remember Chalk Paint, Flubber, and Silly Putty.

I remember these toys! They were badass! I always talk about how I miss them and how toys these days are overrated. I used to get in trouble for bringing my geo pet to school. My doggy would be hungry and the beeping noise would come from my locker lol.

I was born in ’90, had and loved all of these, besides POGs and the Stretch Armstrong… I never even heard of this stretchy guy… 

Who can forget FURBYS? I remember those were sold out everywhere and people were even selling theirs outside stores inside malls for $50+! Ridiculous.

Super Soakers! I remember that day that my parents got me the super uber prized Super Soaker 300!! it had 2 big bottles and 1 smaller one on it. It was red. and my neighbor broke it!!!!!!!!! awrrrh! first day too!!!! You not supposed to pump that one more than 10 times. so after he broke it, the thing would always leak water when in use.

I my favorite troll was the one that you could squeeze the stomach and it would stick out it’s tongue. hehe.

Ohh I loved tomigotchi’s! I had so many of them lol. And I totally forgot about Skip-It. I LOVED that thing!

Hungry Hungry Hippos was awesome. I used to have a travel game, but I have no idea what happened to it. :/ I never had a Tomagatchi either, but I always wanted one. Super Soakers are still fun. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to chase his daddy with one! Lol.

I had 3 tamagotchis and they were fun for a little while, but then they just got annoying because me and all my friends brought them to school (we were only 9) and played with them all day (our teacher let us).

I used to collect pogs. I still have a stack of pogs in my room. My fiance gave me all of his recently…yey!!! But I never played the game with them, for me it was just about collecting them.

I had a skip-it like a long time ago, but I was never coordinasted enough to do it right so I just gladly gave it away.

I used to collect beanie babies but recently gave my cousin 3/4 of mine and now only have a special few.

Troll dolls never really creeped me out. Actually I have a purple one sitting on my computer desk right now. I love trying to get his hair to lay flat, but it never does and he always ends up looking hilarious. I also have 2 bigger stufffed ones in my toy basket. One is pink with a tutu and the other one has green hair and a red night suit on (the kind with the butt flap)…lol.

I had a purple furbie, but after a few days it began to creep me out so I just set it aside and let it sleep until a few years ago when I gave it away.

oh man.  my kid sisters had the Tamagotchi’s and I ended up taking them to college with me because they lost interest in them.  Carried those damn things everywhere, feeding them, cleaning up after them, playing with them.  If only I had known that this was going to be the same story all over again when they had real live kids!

Socker Boppers, they were more fun than a pillow fight! 

I had to resort to pillow fights, with thin pillows.

Furby’s:),and Chia Pets:) I also had Sea Monkeys haha.

I loved Bop It.  And my Sega Genesis.

I miss playing with Barbies, although it’s particularly a 90′s toy.  My friends had a Barbie’s dream house and we used to play with it all the time. My favorite Barbies were Ice Capades Barbie and Miss America Barbie.  A lot of my friends had Gak, but I got a sample from the cereal box or something.  I really didn’t know how to play with it.  I was already in junior high when pogs came out and none of us were really interested in those.  I had some trolls but I liked them because you’re supposed to wish on the stone and it’s supposed to grant your wish.  I didn’t think they were that cute.  My friends did though, maybe I wanted them out of peer pressure. 

I also remember when people thought super soakers were dangerous.  I don’t really remember the reason why, but I think it’s because kids used to wet adults with the super soakers and then got beat up for wetting them.

Well. I was gonna comment about toys, but then the ‘capitalist greed’ part threw me off. \

There are two forms of capitalism today, a true form and a false form. Unfortunately, people have the two confused and don’t even know about the true form.

Capitalism is not when big bankers suck all the money out of the system or when the FEDs allow this, simply printing more money to feed those ‘hungry hungry hippos.’ That is false capitalism, because it is not capitalism at all. Big bankers hate capitalism in reality, so they call what they do capitalism to demonize it (while secretly fighting against it).

True capitalism means that those who are inventive and/or contribute to society are rewarded for it, which encourages inventiveness. Do doctors make a shit-ton of money? Yes, they do. But being a doctor is stressful and requires a shit-ton of education. If doctors all made less money, something everyone could afford without insurance, then there would be less doctors and those remaining doctors would be less motivated to do their job well. The medical scientists would care less about (and thus work less hard) to improve treatments if they knew that no matter how great their new treatment was, they would get paid the same amount of money as the scientist with less than stellar ideas.

Now, the first issue to arise in retort is the issue of greed. For example, if you need your car fixed and the mechanic, under capitalism and not the thumb of government, is free to charge whatever he/she wants, then would that not give him the power to raise his prices stupidly high? Well, with true capitalism, competition plays a huge role. Competition helps keep prices down, so that the government does not have to and thus, as mentioned above, there is greatly increased motivation to strive for better goods and services to offer (better goods and services = you can charge more for them).

A great example of false capitalism vs. true capitalism can be found in the current health care debate. Many people are in a tough spot, as they cannot afford the expensive, greedy insurance companies and thus have a hell of a time trying to get medical care. The current government claims that capitalism is to blame. But here is the catch – health insurance companies are not currently under a true capitalist system, because a true capitalist system involves competition. The government currently does not allow the insurance companies to compete nation-wide. The insurance companies love this. Instead of having to be competitive with their prices to attract customers, they know that their customers only have so many options. This is not true capitalism.

But the government calls it capitalism because those ‘hungry hungry hippo’ bankers hate capitalism. If there is government health care instead of increased competition, then those big bankers will suck up all the tax money that is supposed to go to said government health care. But as we all know, the big bankers love to waste that money, sending us further into national debt. So that health care is likely not going to be as great as they project it will be. They just want your tax money, and then as usual, they will be giving the nation an I.O.U. slip. And while this false capitalism is to blame (as it is not capitalism at all), they will be calling it capitalism to make you angry with the concept. They want you to be angry at capitalism, not at the big bankers and the federal government who try to keep a boot on capitalism and thus cause these financial issues int he first place.

Do not be fooled by them!

Hahaha I love reading this and reminiscing. Of the ones you mentioned there were only two that I didn’t have, and both of those my friends owned so I always played with theirs! (By the way, my beanie babies are sitting nicely in a few oversized plastic storage containers under my guest room bed…I guess I never got around to selling mine, either!)

Ohhhh, do I miss my Furby.. And my GigaPet. And my Polly Pockets that were actually tiny.. P;

My friend had the 1st toy on his keychain yesterday. I was so shocked but happy to see it again!

OMG. Do NOT get me started on those dadgum Tamagotchi! I had six real ones, then I had the PC game and the Gameboy Game. I spent a good chunk of the 90s with some kind of digital pet. I had Gak, too. Put it everywhere. It turned into a brown icky color when I stuck it in my uniform pocket and left it there for a week. Grandma was SO mad. I also collected troll dolls and regret losing them. I had one with red hair and a red star belly. Then I had a few with purple hair. I even had a pirate troll! I wasn’t that keen on Beanie Babies but my dad got me a few. Ahhh and the Super Soaker….I pumped that bad boy like there was no tomorrow! I dunno where it went, though.

What I miss the most were all the cute unknown dolls I had. Bubblin dolls, Crystal Princess, Faeries of Cottingley Glenn….and these GORGEOUS dolls from this show called Princess Gwnenevere and the Jewel Riders.

haha, last summer i bought a tamagachi at a garage sale, and it had never been opened!  i was so excited.  i was playing with it a couple of weeks ago, but it went home, because apparently they don’t actually die if you don’t take care of them, because they’re aliens, and so they go home.  i might just have to dig that out again lol

I owned every single toy on the list… including trolls.  My Tamagotchi was always dead in the mornings, I had so many Beanie Babies it’s not even funny, I think my Gak was raspberry-scented (was that a Gak scent?), and the worst day ever was when my cousins intentionally broke my brother’s Stretch Armstrong.

Anyway I still have a tamagotchi. In working order… I allow kiddos to play with it on my keychain when were standing in line at the grocery store or something.

for some reason a year ago i decided i wanted to play with my tamagotchi…the original one.  when i couldn’t find it, i went on ebay and bought a new one.  i didn’t open it, ended up finding my old, and still haven’t played with it yet.  nostalgia.

ah i was too much of a girly girl for half that stuff

tamigotchis i loved my sister and our cousin had them attached to our coats and everything!

i was surrounded by the nice animals from sylvanians – none of these baboon or whatever they look like now!

lego – yeah i made theme parks and slides and cafes.. dont get me wrong i did use the crocodiles once in a while!

barbies – im so suprised i grew up not sensitive to that pink colour – every time my eyes see it i expect them to burn! but i did love my barbies and the shelleys they were cute!

beanie babies – i dressed mine up

yoyos – ahh i could never do it but mine was sparkly!!!

teeny weeny families – however old i was they were cute and tiddly but kept getting lost cos they were too small!

cant remember much else, i was prancing around in tutus being a prima ballerina – pretty much what i do now. lol

I loved my little ponies and puppy in my pockets. I also had a lot of TY beanie babies. My mom sold them at her little store, so I got one each week.

Those things were fucking creepy. They would “turn off” and you’d put them away, only to be woken up in the middle of the night by “Furby looooves you!” in that odd garbled voice they had.

SEGA GENESIS. Omg those games were epic. They just don’t make ‘em like that no more! I am not at all ashamed to admit that I still have my Sega Genesis megadrive, and that to this day I still sometimes sit down and play it ;)

Also, I miss the 90s Barbie dolls. I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but in my opinion, Barbie’s are so crappy these days. (Yes, every once in a while I walk down the Barbie aisle and see what’s there.) The dolls faces are cheaply painted, the accessories are limited, and to me, none of it looks all that fun to play with! When I was little, I remember walking down the Barbie aisle at Toys R Us and seeing endless possibilites for Barbie. Veternarian Barbie, astronaut Barbie, Barbie playsets, Barbie houses, Barbie cars, Barbie horses…it’s just not the same! In particular, I miss the Generation Girl dolls. Man they were cool.

Someday I will probably look at my kids toys and go, “You know, when I was your age, I had WAY cooler toys!” Lol. I’m kidding, I won’t, but I will sure be tempted to!

Some of these may not be 90′s creations.  I’m pretty sure I had Hungry Hungry Hippos when I was a kid.  In the 70′s.  

man i do miss the 90′s i was what 5- 8 years old during that era . I used to have one troll, the supersoak machine. lol just to have me a throwback i listen to vanilla ice and all those 90′s old skool music.

Oh beanie babies. I remember rushing to the stores to buy them each time a new one came out. I was so angry when they didn’t stop making them when they said they would. 

I miss all of those too… and although I didn’t collect troll dolls because of their creepiness, I do miss them. They all remind me of the good ol’ days.

Oh man I miss the 90′s SO MUCH! I wanted a Tamagotchi or Nano Pet really bad but I never got one. I thought my parents would give in since I was never allowed a live pet because my dad didnt’ want animals in the house, but no. Apparently digital pets were a waste of money. Sigh.

I did have a Skip It and that very super soaker, both from yard sales, and they were my favorite thing ever! And I spent most of my allowance on Pogs and then ended up throwing them out when I got to high school haha. Beanie Babies and trolls were kinda pricey though. But my hubby has tons of Beanie Babies  from his childhood and I took them over when we got married lol. Also we have a couple Toronto Blue Jays trolls that we found at a yard sale last year. I don’t think they’re ugly at all!

i just tried looking for more super soakers last night. The ones they make now days are weak compared to the 90′s. I think the strongest one they made was in 1996, my friend had it and it was powerful.

I remember furbies. One time i had it on my desk when i was trying to sleep and i know i turned that thing off but it opened it eyes and started talking. @Secretcalifornia@xanga - All the small Polly Pockets were recalled, too. They don’t make them anymore. Kids these days are such pussies! They don’t even put woodchips on their playgrounds for fear they’ll get something in their eyes! Us 90′s kids are tough.

I really liked this doll called “Sally Secrets & Penny Secrets (?)”  (I think that’s what it was called).  Where there were several hidden parts of the doll that had stamps, stickers, markers, stationary etc. 

I also like “Penny Pocket” a lot.  Those were fun to play with ‘on-the-go.’

I also remembered these bracelets that you slap on your wrist and the curls up immediately (forgot what it was called).

What year did the Furby come out??.. he was one creepy doll lol He would just randomly start talking and scaring me half to death in the middle of the night.

Love this. My mom hated the trolls(thought they looked like little demons) so I never had them. She also hated the giga pets/tamagochis(this is what I get for an educator as a mom). Hungry Hungry Hippos was my game! Also, can’t forget the Little Tykes kitchen and car, all the other Nicklodeon horrible smelling play-doh products(smud anyone?) Light Brites, Magna Doodles and Quints. 

I don’t think I ever heard of Gak before, but everything else brings back fond memories!!

everything but the gak i had. hated trolls soooooooo much i thought they were the ugliest little things, but i loved tamagotchis, i remember when i was in the 3rd grade i got this bear that smelt like blueberrys and you had to feed it its bottle and it would cry when it was hungry and stuff and i had it in my backpack and the class was in the middle of doing work or a presentation and all you could hear was that bear making noise. I fed it and it didnt bother me the rest of the school day.

OMG I miss tomagotchi too! It was my most favorite thing when I was young. I had a baby, and I feed it and changed it diapers. Ooh, I got so mad when I found out someone threw it into the toilet! It disturbed me for weeks. =’(

And slime from nickelodeon was cool too..

Oh wow, flashback central! I do miss the Tamagotchis and all their spinoffs – I had one that had 2 pets, a dog and a cat. I still have lots of Beanie Babies, but they’re in a storage bin in my closet… :\ Poor things. At least they’re safe.

Aww, I remember my pink skip-it.  Whatever happened to those?  Ditto on the trolls.  I had one and tried to destroy it but it always ended up back where I didn’t want it.  Staring at me on the nighttable.  God, they’re creepy.  Naked, freaky hair and a gem on the bellybutton.. what any little kid saw appealing in that is beyond me.  *nightmares*

omg tamagotchis!!!! aka Gigapets! those were one of my favorite toys back in the 90s! i had a fish and dog one but my brother’s friend broke the dog one -____- and yes, nickelodeon was the cultural embodiment of the 90s. i pretty much watched every show on nickelodeon (favorite: Rugrats/ Kenan&Kel) I also wanted an EasyBake oven really bad but my mom wouldn’t let me have one since she read the electrocution warning on the side panel of the box. =(

Troll figures are COOL and they always have been. Clearly one of the greatest useless items we have been bombarded with from China or Taiwan or whatever country got it past their EPA to run a plastic factory and create those Thug toys…….long before there were Gremlins, there were the Trolls.

tamas are my favorite. I remember there were different types to choose from like chicken, dinosaurs and even human babies, i probably still have mine somewhere in the closet.

the economy was aight, cartoons were excellent, music was awesome, no super major wars….

My mom never got me a Tamagotchi. She thought it was a nonsense device that would distract us from all our normal activities, and not to mention spoil our eyesight. I still want one now, just because it looks like a very clean and easy pet to have.

Troll dolls are really ugly. If not for the hair, which I like mutilating, I would not even touch it.

I don’t know if these are from the 90′s, but I miss Lasy (building blocks for the older kids, with parts that are more mechanical than Lego), and Beast Wars action figures (they are like Transformers, but in the form of animals).

This blog makes me want to go and find that tamagotchi I’ve misplaced. Who says college students can’t have pets in their apartments!? Mine comes without the smells and allergies :3

And yes, trolls still scare me. I think I gave mine to a friend who liked them. She was weird. Still is.

My son JUST got hungry hungry hippos for his birthday a couple days ago… he LOVES it, but all the “hippo food” is quickly going missing and i’m finding them under couches, behind bookcases etc.  i wonder if i could get “replacement food” if needed?

I would LOVE to get my son a Stretch Armstrong… he absolutely LOVES these stretchy type of toys… he  has a stretchy dragon, an elephant and a batman character who i believe is named Mr. Plastic.

My son thinks these are the greatest toys in the world.

I feel old, b/c I missed the boat on a lot of these toys (except for skip-it and trolls, both classics). For me, my favorite toys of the 90s (and 80s) were:  Alfie, American Girl Dolls, Polly Pocket, My Little Pony, Lite Brite, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Care Bears, Colorforms, Spirograph, Pound Puppies, Teddy Ruxpin, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys…

I loved my troll doll.  And pogs were amazing.  I had one of those fairy things that had a string that you pulled and when you let go its wings came out and it flew across the room.  I can’t remember what they were called.  And I had a bazillion polly pockets.  Actually I think I still have them somewhere.

What happened where did all this goodies disappear to?

Remember Koosh Balls and those Koosh ball people? Those were awesome, along with yout other choices. I had all of those toys. Thank you for making this post and bringing back wonderful memories.

lmao those troll dolls i still have a bunch of them in my garage…. and i remeber playing with those tamagotchi toys i loved thoses haha, but i always lost theme or broke them :[ lmao i think if i dig in my garage i would probably be able to find almost all of those things :]

I totally remember POGs! I don’t remember what the hell you did with them though lol. My gramma collected those damn trolls…my cousins and I each got one of the ones she had when she died..so I have one of them still, but only as a memory of her. I loved Gak! I would so buy it if I could find it lol.

i memory had barely kicked in at the end of 90s but i remember troll dolls. my cousin used to stuff the head in my mouth and i’d end up with a mouthful of hair, ew.

i don’t get why u miss them. i can get practically all of these. unless u mean u don’t get to PLAY with them anymore. nonethless, i’d still play with them. i don’t care.  i got a supersoaker a couple years ago. maybe the pogs u can’t get. i still see beanies around… maybe not beanie BABIES but i know they’re in the stores. tamagotchis they still have. i saw a kid carrying it & i know there are different versions of it. but maybe not exactly tamagotchi but i think the ones now are better. mine always grewup to be ugly as hell. they needed to change those!! i’m pretty sure u can still buy skip it & hungry hippos. i don’t see why they wouldn’t keep manufacturingn them… they have the template & models…

Haha, I remember all of that stuff. We still have a bunch of Beanie Babies lying around the house, still with the hope that some day we can sell them all for more than a dollar. Trolls are really creepy, but I still have one or two. D:

I’m a 90s kid. God do I miss the 90s. We had the cool toys. I remember having troll dolls,beanie babies,skip it,gak,stretch armstrong, hungary hungary hippos,pog, and barbies.Those where the good old toys. I remember my older brother had a stretch armstrong I pull the hell out of that thing.Ohh do I miss being a little girl playing with my barbies those where the best.

One of the toys I really miss is the moon shoes. Those were all the rage in the 90s, you’d see them on tv all the time. One thing I don’t miss? Furbies, they never shut up.

i remember theseeee… and furbies my sister and i used to play poker and she won my furbie, i was sad about that. not that i had any idea how to play poker at the time, stupid thing to do. and tonka trucks, they were metal then though, not plastic, we also had the bouncy ball game with all the things you’d throw on the floor, bounce the ball and pick up as many as you could, can’t remember what it was called though. we usually got them at birthday parties in the little party bags. polly pocket was all the rage, and cabbage patch kids, along with those plastic babies that would pee water after you gave them a bottle and you’d have to change the diaper. i also remember having an easy bake oven in the later 90s. and then with cartoons… i remember watching Ahhh Monsters and the Animaniacs a lot. I spent half my childhood trying to beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64, along with Super Mario 64, and later I started to play things like Turok on the 64. I miss those days.

Love the post! I had EVERY single one of these. Maybe even a troll or two but they were buried deep in my toybox. Trolls and carebears…. they scare me. Yes, carebears… I don’t know why but they freak me out. I had the Pizza gak. Now when I think back, that’s when I started getting heartburn. lol. I had like 5 tamagotchis and even a rugrats one. I always had to reset because I always killed them.

What about the Furbies? I hated those things. Always whining that they’re hungry or bored. I wish someone would’ve told me that’s what kids are like. lol. (JK, I really do love my daughter.)

Oh, I so miss my ’90s childhood, too! Polly Pocket, and my Treasure Troll who wore a pink ballerina costume, had turquoise hair and a little gemstone for a belly button, were my favorite. I loved playing Skip It with friends…and doing those little iron-on things with the plastic beads…does anyone remember what those were called? You’d arrange them into a heart or a star or something, then run an iron over them, and it would mold into shape…I miss the games I used to play, too–the really old fashioned Trivial Pursuit from the ’80s, Junior Monopoly, Clue, etc. Wish I were a kid again! 

Hungry Hungry Hippos and Skip It I remember the most! Skip It was like Bop It’s sister, I guess xD burned way more calories too, lol.

The 90′s were so awesome and Nickelodeon made the decade a great time for kids. For some reason I was thinking that you were going to list the furby as the 90′s toy that you don’t miss. I never had one, but I had so many friends that became totally creeped out by theirs.

What tamagotchis? I still have one… 90s? I keep it on my keychain so when I’m somewhere waiting (with my little niece) lol.  She doesn’t get bored. She says “Aunt Chelsea…. you killed it again”. And pogs…. man I have searched every flea market on the east coast for those… And no success. Hmph… My friend broke her arm on skip it, just because she sucked, so I was never allowed to play with it again. Nice going.

Ahhh, the good old days. Born and raised in the wonderful 90′s era. I had forgotten about Tamoghochi’s up until this post – I always killed whichever pet, my favourite was the dinosaur. He’d hatch and poo all over and go hungry uuntil I realized it was too late to save him and i saw those X’s over his eyes. I still have some Beanie Babies I kept as collectables, I remember when it was “cool” to own as many as you could. Funny how time flies. Now all kids want are cellphones and computers. They need to get out more.

You are taking me back, and it’s awesome. I remember begging my parents for Moon Shoes, boy did I look ridiculous when I wore those to Sunday school.

“too young for NKOTB, too old for Barney the Dinosaur” describes my age perfectly (1984).  ALL of those toys are iconic but I don’t get how you don’t think treasure trolls are cute.  I’m pretty sure I had like four of them lol.

I had everything on here except Stretch Armstrong. It honestly didn’t appeal to me. I remeber Furbies, too. I still have alot of this stuff and the funny thing is that it gets played with by my nieces, nephews and younger cousins.

Up until last year I still had that very same Super Soaker. It finally broke after all those years! Its okay because I got a new one. Gotta keep those kids, and my fiance, on their toes!

Oh man, this brought back so many memories! I think I tried out all of those at one point or other. Tamagotchis were such a huge obsession for me, I had SO many!

Haha, Gak…I totally forgot about that! My mom and I were JUST talking about Beanie Babies and how excited everyone would get when they had them at McDonald’s. My mom would drive to so many different McDonald’s to collect different ones. Yup, those were the good old days!

does anyone remember the board game “dizzy dizzy dinosaur?” where there was a little dinosaur you wound up and it spun around over the board knocking off pieces? … maybe thats just me. I was super young then, it was probably the 90′s tho.

I miss Sky Dancers!! 

We had Skip-It in the 60′s too!  And, weirdly enough, I still have mine.  Wonder if it’s worth anything?  Would it be considered an antique?
