Carrie Underwood married her hockey player beau Mike Fisher over the weekend, and the two then hit Tahiti for a romantic honeymoon! That water looks soooo refreshing.
Underwood, 27, got hitched to Fisher, 30, on Saturday in a lavish $500,000 ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.
Where do you want to go on your honeymoon, Lovelies?

$500,000? That’s it? You would think for two known celebrities, it’d be a wedding somewhere in the millions.

@JordanThai - Have you ever been to Paris? It smells…gross. And it’s pretty dirty. All the time. :/ Personally, I want to go to the French countryside for my honeymoon. Or maybe Ireland.

@MadMarch@xanga - oh really? I have never heard that before!

Me and my husband are going to eygpt. =)

@HisKeiki@xanga - Yes, a very humble couple. Nowadays, weddings aren’t really for the two people getting married. It seems as though it’s all about how expensive it is. You remember your wedding for the guests that were there and for the memorable union of becoming husband and wife not for the price tag.

@JordanThai - Yeah, it sucks but it’s true. There are also a lot of pickpockets and pigeons and such. Not to bash it into the ground or anything, it’s still wonderful in terms of the art/culture.

@MadMarch@xanga - Yeah I’ve heard things like that about Paris, too. I was thinking about going there for studying abroad until I heard it’s not all that nice of a place as I imagined. haha
I want to go to Venice. Or maybe somewhere in Ireland. I don’t know yet.

She got married? I knew she was engaged but didn’t know a wedding was planned, I was out of the loop. She looks happy though and beautiful, congrats to her. :]
I want to go somewhere with a beach. Not necessarily the tropics, maybe the mediterranean? But somewhere with culture and a beach.

We went to a beautiful, secluded cabin in the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina for our honeymoon. It was great!!

I would want to go to somewhere out of the country, but I haven’t thought of a specific place

@IntheGoldenWest@xanga - I would suggest Ireland over Venice. Venice is very similar to Paris: Fabulous art, culture, food, but the downsides are that everything is super expensive, it’s old, dirty, and there are a ton of pickpockets/thieves/unscrupulous vendors just waiting to take advantage of you. I like Ireland because it’s cleaner (overall, of course your cities like Dublin are just what you’d expect) in general and a good place for backpackers. Ireland is also the safest country in Europe. I feel comfortable travelling alone there, as a single female. Not that you asked for my opinion or anything. xD

@MadMarch@xanga - Um…ok, so you clearly travel a lot, which means I’m jealous. haha. I’m Italian, so going to Venice (and seeing the rest of Italy) has been a dream of mine for a while. It just seems so…strange? Not a good word I guess, but I can’t explain it. It seems like a really interesting place to go to. I think Carnivale is what really interests me about the city the most. I would LOVE to go to Ireland, though.

Honeymoon? I think it depends on who I marry. I’m content with the simple things.

I’M OFFICIALLY GOING THERE FOR MY HONEYMOON.
I love Carrie and am very happy for her!

@IntheGoldenWest@xanga - I’ve actually just started traveling in the past couple of years. My parents hate it, so I’ve been getting jobs and raising the money myself to go alone/on school trips. I totally understand why you’d want to see Venice, especially if you’re Italian. It’s a really interesting place. I’m just biased toward Ireland because that’s where all of my ancestors are from. (Again, not trying to knock any other places, because I have limited experience with most of them. Anywhere with a rich history would be wonderful to go to.)

Good lord he has a chest the size of my body. He could bench me into a ceiling fan.
Nowhere for honeymoon. I don’t plan on marriage. BUT IF I DID…Newark, NJ. I’m not even lying.

My husband and I honeymooned in a condo on a private beach in South Padre Island…. it was loooovely.

My fiance and I are planning on going to Colorado for our honeymoon.
And if for any reason we end up not being able to afford that, the Tennessee Smokies or Lake Michigan will do just fine for me.
