I was watching Bravo’s new reality show “Bethenny Getting Married?”, which follows Real Housewives on NYC star Bethenny Frankel as she plans her wedding, which took place when she was 7 months pregnant.
Check out these celebrity women who also sported a baby bump under their bridal gown.
Reese Witherspoon (above) – Reese married hunky Ryan Philippe in June 1999 while she was 7 months pregnant with their daughter, Ava.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz – Pete Wentz and Jessica’s little sis tied the knot at an Alice in Wonderland themed bash in May 2008. While Joe Simpson initially denied reports that the rushed wedding was due to Ashlee’s pregnancy, Ashlee reportedly announced the pregnancy to her guests at the wedding reception.
Jessica Alba – Jess married Cash Warren in May 2008 and gave birth to adorable daughter Honor that summer. The couple is still going strong!
Kate Winslet – Kate tied the knot with director Sam Mendes in 2003 when she was 8 months pregnant. They separated last year.
Gwyneth Paltrow – Coldplay singer Chris Martin sealed the deal with Gwyneth in December 2003, and she gave birth to their daughter Apple (remember the controversy over that name??) in May of 2004.
Jennifer Garner – Ben and Jen got married in 2005 when she was 3 months pregnant with cutie daughter Violet. Since then, they’ve added a second girl, Seraphina, to their family.

If you’re anywhere between 6 to 8 months pregnant, why not just wait until the baby is born? I mean 1), you don’t want to risk giving birth at your wedding, and 2) who wants to be huge in a wedding dress?

No, why would I be suprised? If your in a relationship and some point they’re at risk of becoming pregnant. To me it matter if you’re married or not.

I think it’s odd how many celebs preach safe sex when it seems they’re encountering unintended pregnancies. Not that anyone shouldn’t be preaching safe sex, but you know what I mean.
But they could have been planned, I guess it’s not my place to assume. They obviously have the financial means to support a child.

Props to these couples for making plans even though they were also dealing with a pregnancy; I know I wouldn’t want both on my plate at once!
But honestly, aside from that, who really cares? Unless they were specifically shotgun weddings prompted by the pregnancy, in which case all I can do is shake my head and hope for the best…

I was really surprised to hear that Reese, Jessica & Jennifer were all pregnant when they got married. I don’t follow much on Kate Winslet, I didn’t even know she had any children! & Everyone knew about Ashlee Simpson.
