Yes, she’s beautiful.  I do like the spread.  It has NOTHING to do with her weight – she rocks the pictures, plain and simple.

i don’t find her attractive, and i don’t think the shoot is flattering – especially that bunny picture and the first one.

I think the whole “this magazine has a plus sized model” post thing is getting old.. like we get it fat chicks are getting recognition. woo.. This girl isn’t as pretty as the other ones. She just looks awkward the other girls just look tastefully curvy and have amazing faces. This chick just looks fat and ugly. and the blonde hair isn’t helping. She’d probably look like an average looking fat chick with brown hair.

she’s kinda pretty, but she’s a little TOO big. plus size is great, but maybe not so good to glorify being overweight. i prefer the more curvier, natural meat-on-the-bones models over the fat ones with beer guts and a bad dye job.

Anyways, I think she’s beautiful as well. I find her face structure to be lovely. I like her second last and last pictures best. I wouldn’t mind having her as model, I’d paint her.

@Hinase@xanga - The difference is.  Thick women have beautiful bodies.  They have curves in all the right places and they can be very, very attractive.  But this woman isn’t just thick, she unhealthily fat.  You can tell in her arms and legs ( and you know these photos are retouched heavily already ) that she’s unhealthy.  I have no problem with other people thinking that she’s fine the way she is, but I personally don’t find her attractive because she is unhealthily fat, not just curvy. 

i think the first picture is terribly unflattering.

I love the idea of plus-sized models making covers but like others are saying, it is getting kind of old. I’m hoping the modeling industry goes back to the superskinny ladies.

She has a beautiful face..and nice hair..and skin…but her body, not so much.

I don’t like how she looks. I don’t mind plus-size models, but I just think she isn’t very attractive at all. The blond hair also looks terrible on her and she she sucks at modeling.

So, they could’ve chosen some more interesting poses that didn’t come off so inexperienced and childish, such as the bunny one. But that’s really not the issue(s) at all. The so-called issues are: Is she “model material”? Is plus-sized modeling okay? And I think the answer to both of those is, absolutely yes. She’s gorgeous and if women have enough courage and fully love themselves enough to put themselves out there like that, well, that’s amazing. 

The colours, everything is so beige.

Why don’t we have NORMAL-SIZED models?

The first picture looks like something high school girls take in their bedroom when they are trying to find their “sexy.” I’d be insulted if I were her. Carpet on a bean bag with a baseboard? Also, even “skinny” models know their angles. She doesn’t know her angles. Or, is this what this post is saying? She shouldn’t HAVE to find her angles? I think, as a model, it is a job to know your angles. She held her butt up so it wouldn’t squish, but she should angle her hips and put on leg out further than the other. The first one just looks truly unprofessional.

The third picture is pretty, tasteful.

The last picture is also unprofessional… Looks like she had a drunk night out and her friend got a shot of her when she said, “hey!”

@scarletchord@xanga - I’m all for plus size recognition (not unhealthy overweight, of course), but the body is kind of….normal, ew, and nothing spectacular.

Models should have a certain presence about them.  Maybe if her undies in the first picture actually fit instead of squeezing like their a size too small she’d look a bit better.  Plus size models can be pretty, but no one likes a muffin top created by too small clothing :/

I don’t like the styling of this photoshoot at all. In these pictures her face doesn’t look very appealing. She looks SO MUCH BETTER as a brunette. The lack of color in her face/hair in these pictures makes her look weird. Her eyebrows are dyed so light that it almost blends into her skin, making it look like she doesn’t have eyebrows at all! But she does have a beautiful face if you look at the French Elle.

As for her body, I don’t really like it. However, I think the point of magazines featuring plus-size models is (1) because they sell a lot of copies, (2) using plus-sized models improves their reputation usually and (3) to prove that larger women can be beautiful too. Honestly, the size and shape of a model has nothing to do with my purchase decisions. I can appreciate beautiful clothes on large and small women the same! So it doesn’t really matter if a model is plus-sized or anorexic. 

Yeah. I’m going to have to say no. She just looks kind of dull and listless in all the pictures–and, frankly, I don’t find her very attractive.

But who cares if she’s plus-sized, though, really? It’s not like a big deal. Drawing attention to it only makes it stand out as unusual more.

She’s a strange kinda pretty. Her shape is kind of too bulky in her mid section..(the muffin top is a bit too overly baked, as much as it pains me to say that) but it’s not sooo bad.. I just would not have made her uncover it in the first photo.

I like her face for some reason. It’s young and supple, kind of like Rihanna’s is when she’d made up, only with 80% less forehead (not that I mind Rihanna’s 5-head). This model’s eyes are the strangest and hardest part to accept because I can’t decide if they’re pretty or creepy.. they’re walking that line, to me… but, overall, it’s a pretty face.

She also has nice skin on her face and body, it seems. It probably isn’t her real skin texture, though. It’s probably got a crap-ton of skin tone makeup and air brushing to make the photo magazine ready (i.e. covering up blemishes, cellulite, stretch marks etc that probably would be present in the pictures if she weren’t made up and the preliminary exposures weren’t digitally refined). In fact, I’m certain of it. There should be stretch marks all along that exposed waist, where the skin on a normal human stretches faster than the skin cells can multiply and fall in.. leaving marks of keratinized dermal cells (aka stretch marks) where the stretching occurred in the epidermis’s continuing effort to encase the entire body in skin in lieu of rapid internal demand that it accommodate more mass.

Yet there isn’t a single ripple or dent on her. Unless she bathes in Shea and cocoa butter for 4-8 hours a day, it’s unnatural to the point that it takes away from the photo’s authenticity.

Her breasts represent themselves nicely. Only someone her size could have such a nice endowment to offset the extra bulk below. She does the best modeling the single piece clothing, though! As long as her midsection isn’t just bare, she’s pretty nice looking.

Her spread could have been less exposure prone and more presentation prone because her shape is not that good that so much skin and obscenely exposed curve need be shown. There are plus size models with nicer shapes than her, so it’s not because she’s big.. but because her body lacks even very basic definition.

I believe I will find women attractive in ANY size but how you set that model up is everything.

I don’t like plus size modeling. But I also don’t agree with super skinny models either. Neither are ‘model’ bodys for women. Why don’t they focus on healthy and stop worrying about size.

I love the muted look. I love the colors and the poses too. Its nice to see someone who doesn’t look like an alien in a fashion magazine.

i think it’s a pretty unflattering shoot. Well, mostly just the first shot. And I find the colour of her hair unflattering, which has nothing to do with her size. I just can’t get past the first picture and how awful it is. And the last one.

And to everyone that made a comment that she’s fat or you ‘threw up a little’ or something equally stupid…pretty sure the question was “What do you guys think of her magazine spread?”  Nowhere did I see anyone ask “Do you think she’s fat and/or ugly, and if so, please describe why?”
