I actually like the idea. My great-grandmother went naturally grey (well, white!) when she was 18 years old. I wished all my life it would happen to me but, no. I still have my dark brown Native American hair.

@betterdesigned@xanga - i really like the look, but i’m nervous about letting my hair go that light… i think i’d miss my dark hair too much! the only time i’ve ever had light colored hair is when i was lady gaga for halloween and wore a wig. haha!

i give major props to those bold enough to try it.

I wonder how much dye/bleach it takes to get it that color. Hm. 

Picture one (sorry, not up on pop culture, so I don’t know her), and Kelly Osbourne look great with it, the other two…not so great IMHO.

@bigsuit - I don’t think I’d dye it either. Just, when I start to go grey, I’d totally embrace it. =)

I think it’s edgy and fashionable, but I don’t find it attractive. I.e., if I was a man, I don’t think I would be drawn to this look. Not that that’s a good or bad thing, it just is what it is.

i would NEVER. i always see pixie geldof with her gray hair, and she’s cute & i love her but come on now, you have all the time in your ol granny days to have gray/white hair, so why intentionally DYE your hair that awful color? idk, it is beyond me.. now the grayish purple doesn’t look half as bad but no, i still would never try it.

I just put gray and silver in my hair last month and absolutely love it. I have light blonde hair, so it just looks like an edgy spin on platinum.

I don’t like gray. It doesn’t look flattering. I prefer blondish white, or just white.

Fail most of the time. It’s not bad on a naturraly blond girl I think, or on some locks. But on the whole hair… no

The first and third pictures are OKAY. I mean, it’s better than bleaching your hair and not toning and leaving it yellow .. but it still has this “I don’t know how to actually get my hair a decent colour of blond” vibe to it. Over-processed. A girl I know tried to get her hair “platinum blonde”, used too much Shimmer Lights and had grey/purple hair for a while. It just looks like a mistake, so it sort of bugs me when people do it PURPOSEFULLY.

absolutely a win, but it may get you a bit troubles  when looking for a job

I think Kelly Osbourne looks really classy, actually. I’m not a fan of the others though, especially not the last one…

EPIC FAIL.

I’ve white, gray, and very pale lilac hair (which made me look like my grandma after a purple rinse). I loved it, but it was more that I wanted to try every colour possible, rather than thinking it looked that great. As a fashion statement, I think it’s hard to pull off, but I think Pixie Geldof rocks it.

I would never try this, but that’s only because it’s not for me. For others? They look great in it, and it’s their choice. Oh, and it’s a win here.

If you can pull it off and not look 80 I say more power to you~! I like it. =3

Most people cannot get their hair that color unless they are already very light brown or blonde to begin with. And it isnt really grey. Its more like platinum blonde (like a MalibuBarbie) turned ashy. So with some violet or blue tones added.

These girls are beautiful! It’d never work on me, but these girls work it well!
