Bodysuits ranging from $30 – $50, are they worth it?
Bodysuits. It’s the trend that has made its way in stores like American Apparel, Forever 21, and Urban Outfitters. There is even one that is adorned with sparkles designed by the late Alexander McQueen.
Some of these bodysuits can look like bathing suits, but when you dress them up with sleeves and snaps on the crotch area, I guess it’s a whole different story.
What do you think of bodysuits? Do you like wearing them, too?

I like them, I do, but I am unsure of when one will be making it’s way to my closet.

I have one, though the idea is I think that you wear them with pants or a skirt.
I rarely wear it because, well, it has my organ system printed on it (thanks Katy Perry for the H&M aids clothing project last year). There are not that many events that require your organ system printed across your front.

I like them.

how do you wear these? and where?
guest
I don’t know where you see them looking like bathing suits? It looks nothing like one lol

What’s funny is that people are paying for a glorified leotard. Seriously, go to a dance studio store, buy yourself a leotard, and save yourself money…

what happens if you really need to pee?

@HippocreneQueen@xanga - I completely agree.

what. why. wait, body suits?? what??
guest
I used to wear these when I was younger. One day, the kids in my class saw the thigh area and they asked me if i was wearing a bathing suit.
guest
why would you wear a onsie? Those are meant for people under the age of 2!
guest
i wear them… for ballet class. but they’re called leotards and look nowhere near as ridiculous as some of these!
guest
These were originally meant for ballerinas and other dancers… but now they’ve gone mainstream, apparently.
Looks like the 80′s days of colored leotards will be coming back. XD
guest
they look like leotards…

@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - Poke a hole in it.

the second picture of her with the dangly braid is funny and it looks like lingerie than a bathing suit. I’d wear the striped one to go rollerskating at the beach sidewalk. if the bottom part is going to be covered up with pants, jeans or a skirt then I’d just buy a normal top with a similar design.
guest
guess im the one of the few who like them, you wear them with pants, shorts, and skirts of course duh. but i think they’re cute

@whereisichi@xanga - They’re meant to be work and dressed up like any other shirt
the plus is that they’re automatically tucked in and you don’t have to worry about making sure your shirt doesn’t come untucked

My mom used to have a buttload of bodysuits when I was younger and I’d wear them when I borrowed her clothes.
So uncomfortable.

@mysterygirl3000@xanga - well, that was sacrcasm, I also don’t keep up with fashion.
guest
how do these remotely look like bathing suits? I like body suits.
guest
I hope you fashion people wear these with pants!!! I think the bottom one is the cutest…would look adorable with a pair of khaki shorts. I could never wear a body suit…I’m not thin enough and I’m preggers! lol
guest
i like them……

They are nice…But for what?

Maybe if I were like a size zero I would like it, but I’m waaaaay too chunky.
guest
uh no thanks

@sempermedusa@xanga - hahaha agreed! I love your comment way too much =p

I like the stripey one.
guest
I’m for them; on a different note, that pose is SO unflattering.
guest
I would totally wear them. So cute!!
guest
bodysuits are supposed to be worn with tights or tucked into something if they are worn as is, then you might as well be wearing a bathing suit
guest
They look awesome with pencil skirts.

…where are these to be worn? photoshoots, perhaps, but is there actually a ‘body suit occasion’? i had no idea people considered these practical in real life.
guest
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - Good point! It’ll be such trouble taking that off when you’d have to pee. T___T
orchid / 211 posts
The point is to wear them with skirts or pants to get a very streamline silhouette without having to worry about your shirt becoming untucked. I don’t have any myself (or feel the need to get them) but i see their point.
guest
They’re honestly really comfortable (granted you find a fitting one) and they go nicely with skirts and jeans.
guest
They’re different but kinda cute. If you wear something over them, i don’t see why they would be so bad.

@HippocreneQueen@xanga - i agree that they’re basically leotards, but even worse, they’re more like glorified baby onesies, leotards don’t have crotch snaps.
and also, dance leotards cost triple what the bodysuits at f21 do because of the spandex in the material.
i say buy a tank top and tuck it in, save yourself the awkwardness when you need to pee.
