Miley Cyrus is starring in the new Nicholas Sparks-book based movie, “The Last Song,” alongside her boyfriend/co-actor, and she pretty much thinks it’s going to be the next Casablanca.
“I want to see [it as] one of those romance films that people will want to see over and over again and never get tired of,” she tells Fox News. “I think this is going to be a really great romance.”
LOL, ok.
Miley thinks the movie will be extra special for viewers, who will get to witness the chemistry between herself and BF Liam Hemsworth.
Haha…have you seen the trailer for this movie? It’s so cheesy! I don’t know if this is going to be the next Notebook, Lovelies.
So, are you going to see Miley’s new movie? Have you read the book?

I wanna see it. It looks cute
guest
I’ll probably see the movie. Just because. It does not look like it’s going to be good. I think Nicholas Sparks needs to stop selling his books as screen plays..
guest
I was going to see it when I first saw the trailer, but GOD. The publicity did more harm than good. I don’t want to see it at all anymore.
guest
looked like a bunch of hugging and sticking her head out of the car. i dont have anything against Miley Cyrus but i do against cheesy romance stories.
guest
i read the book.. to me it was my least fav of nicholas sparks’ books.
soo, i think miley’s wrong here. she’s trying to hype it up because it’s pretty much her one chance to step out of the hannah montana zone. which i don’t think she’ll be able to do honestly, i just don’t think she’s a great actress.
and i saw the trailerr, the acting is seriously lackingggggg. but i’m sure it’ll still make a ton of money, movies based on his books are always really popular. i just realized though, dear john just came out like two months ago! nick sparks overload, hah.
ranunculus / 3285 posts
The Notebok is epic, nothing can touch that. Especially not Miley’s “acting.” My friend bought me the book for my birthday, it’s still on my shelf, collecting dust. I kind of want to see this because Liam is a total cutie. Btw, awesome title. =P
guest
I think everyone above the age of 14 is not much of a miley fan..god and those teeth..Goodlord but back to the movie..I never paid much attention to it but when the commercial comes on i can hear her man voice and i cringe.. I personally dont care for romantic movies at all.. More of a comedy/horror gal so i shall not shell out 10 bucks for shitt..I’ll be seeing kick ass instead with a few buddss
guest
I want to see it!
)
guest
I have heard good reviews about it so far. We’ll see.
guest
I’ve never been a fan of Miley Cyrus, but the storyline sounds good. Nicholas Sparks is just an amazing writer.
guest
i feel like i’d like it better if it wasn’t miley… but whatever
guest
obviously not the next notebook, but I don’t care what anyone says, it looks good and i’m going to see it (:
orchid / 236 posts
I read the book. I thought it was pretty good! It was only my second Nick Sparks book though, so I don’t have much to compare it too!
I want to see the movie, just because it looks cute. However, Miley kind of sucks @ acting :/
guest
@mashroob@xanga - HAHAH i always tell EVERYONE she has a man voice and weird teeth and nobody else can see it… but i’m SURE she does
guest
I’m not a fan when an actor in the movie produces the soundtrack as well. It’s waaaay too much of one person.
guest
i wannt see it sooo bad
guest
@iiinfinitesimal@xanga - ahaha i noticed that crazy stuff watching hannah montana..i think when people are kind of fixated on someone they look past the odd things but no matter if i like them or not. If something is off about their appearance..i notice it
guest
@AcidxBetty@xanga - Omg I totally agree with your last sentence! Needs to end.
orchid / 201 posts
Miley’s voice really ruins things for me. But I want to see the movie anyway.
guest
It doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would. I heard Miley Cyrus and I immediately thought of disaster. Let’s face it, MOST romance movies are incredibly cheesy.
ranunculus / 3457 posts
Hehe, how arrogant of her.
orchid / 139 posts
im going to see it…stop hating on miley
guest
The reviews for the movie are mostly negative. Not going to see it…
guest
#1 rule of publicity: if you make an excessively positive statement about yourself, you’re opening yourself up to harsh contradiction. Especially if the excessively positive statement has no basis in fact
I’ve vandalized this movie poster. I can’t stand Miley and I can’t stand Nicholas Sparks–the combination is sickening without a sharpie’d French mustache.
guest
And, my god, her face. It enrages me. I can’t put my finger on why. It looks like an ass cheek covered in eyeliner and bronzer.
guest
Nicholas Sparks isn’t that great of a writer, in my opinion. I did think The Notebook was a decent movie/book, but other than that, his other books are depressing or overly cheesy. I read Dear John and decided that I wasn’t interested in seeing the movie, period. Also, Miley Cyrus has to be one of the worst actresses/singers I’ve seen since Ashley Simpson. She looks like Gumby. Not only that, but she acts like she’s 25 years old. Most 17 year olds feel and act like they know everything already at their age, and I feel the same way about Miley. She’s trying to connect with older audiences and I’m just not feeling it. Go back to school, Miley…Give up the singing career; perhaps take some acting classes. Otherwise, I see her falling by the wayside of the no-talent childstars. Disney made a bad choice.
guest
At first, I really didn’t wanna see it, but I went and saw it today, and it was surprisingly VERY good, as long as you are into chick flicks.
guest
i don’t really like chick flicks. i’ll probably see this so i can know if it sucked or not, yaknow?
but i honestly don’t get why everyone hates on miley so much. she’s just a kid, and grown women are bashing her like hell. it’s pathetic.
guest
I’m not obsessed with Miley Cyrus, but I don’t hate her. Hell yeah I’m going to see it, it looks cute.

I like Nicholas Sparks, though his books are always much better than the films. Oh well.. I want to see it regardless.
guest
ugh no.
guest
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will outshine The Notebook (at least romance movies concerned).

I think ANY Sparks movie adaption sucks, so I don’t see how I am going to think this is any better.
sunflower / 355 posts
@feelslikejuly@xanga - Sabrina (the one with Bogart and Hepburn)? Sleepless In Seattle? When Harry Met Sally? Annie Hall?
guest
@tomorrow_may_rain@xanga - I’ve never seen those movies so I can’t compare them to those. I don’t have the time to see many movies these days. I saw you mentioned about not liking Sparks movie adaptations…why? I’ve read the Notebook and liked the movie adaptation; I mean, you can’t expect a movie to ever include every single detail or go exactly how the novel was written.
guest
this movie was actually amazing. it made me cry my ass off
besides the notebook and titanic, ive never cried that hard during a movie i dont care if it was miley or not, it has an amazing story line
sunflower / 355 posts
@feelslikejuly@xanga - I dislike the books too. I am not a big Nicholas Sparks fan to begin with, but I find the movies to be worst.
I have to admit that Gosling and McAdams had amazing chemistry, though, which A Walk to Remember lacked.
guest
I actually so want to see it. But i don’t think its the next Notebook.
guest
I can’t wait to see it! I’m 18 and I’m a Miley fan. I’m not crazy/obsessed over her but I do enjoy her music and I want to see the movie.
guest
I really liked the boy who played her brother. He was a better actor than she was!
“extra special for viewers who will get to witness the chemistry between herself and BF Liam Hemsworth.”
Uh…arrogant much? Who the hell wants to witness the chemistry between her and her boyfriend??
guest
The Notebook was great, we get it. Write a different story, Dear John was just another Notebook rewrite, this may just be another rewrite.
NEXT!

i fuckin’ hated the notebook. i don’t think i’ll watch this. then again, i think many movies are a waste of time. stupid me.
orchid / 228 posts
She looks good in the pic, all dolled up, but she still looks a little off in the preview. I think it looks all right, and that Liam is good-lookingggggggggg.
guest
for some damn reason I want to see this. And I don’t even care for Miley. Here face is just weird most of the time…or she’s making weird faces..something..
guest
Hate Miley
Don’t think Liam is hot at allNot a huge Nicholas Sparks fanNever seen the notebook
but it was a decent movie…i went into it with EXTREMELY low expectations though.
sunflower / 260 posts
It does seem like a cheesy romance, but nothing too bad. I can’t get over how dark she is in the trailer though. Seriously, what is she (or her makeup artist) thinking? She’s way too tan.
guest
looks gay and not worth it. bad acting and story line is dumb. and if you notice in the interviews, she always gushes about her bf while he on the other hand, is very nonchalant. i dont think he even likes her :X
guest
I dislike Miley cyrus. and i kinda want to watch it. But i dont have high hopes for it.

i like the story but i hate miley!

Even though I’m not fond of her, this movie looks good.

i’m not a fan, but what’s with all the miley-bashing?

Hahahah, the title alone gave me a good laugh.

nothing will top the notebook XD I’ll probably watch it but i wont go to the cinemas to see it. I dont hate Miley Cyrus, I dislike her and wish she would just stick to disney channel

well, i certainly don’t see it becoming a new classic or anything, but i want to see it. it looks good.
cherry blossom / 49 posts
well nicholas sparks wrote the book for her, so she could turn it into a movie. i saw it opening night, she did such a good job. i didn’t think of her as hannah montana once throughout the movie. and it’s actually not that cheesy romantic at all. for those of you who have read the book, it’s more about her relationship with her family than with her boyfriend.
i loved it
guest
Miley cyrus sounds like a man on autotune
orchid / 109 posts
Wow people need to stop judging before they see the movie. It’s not just about romance, i’ll tell you that much. has a lot to do with family.
guest
every time i read the book before the movie it ruined it for me because its never the same, so this time im holding off to read it til after i see it tonight. i think all nicholas sparks stories are great but im such a mushy person so its okay. lol i dont have anything against miley either so thats probably why im not bashing the movie
guest
I might watch it, if it were free on tv and I was on my period.
hahaha at the title of this though, glad to know I’m not alone, I thought this movie looked really dumb too.
guest
poor miley has delusions of grandeur…she is a legend in her own mind and her “never was”, one hit wonder of a daddy keeps feeding that fairy tale…as soon as her last group of teeny boppers grows up a little, i thinking this little twit is in for a horrible let down….
guest
A lot, and I mean A LOT of critics have gave negative reviews about her acting/performance. I saw a clip of it on Ellen Degeneres’s show and it literally made me cringe, but Idk; it IS her first away from Hannah Montana, no? Proves a lot for the lack of talent but billions of dollars these people in the industry get.
guest
i read the book and i cried like 4 times at the end (in my defense, all nicholas sparks books are really sad) i’m boycotting this movie though because miley does NOT fit the part of ronnie at all. and she’s going to ruin the whole thing.
guest
I think she is gorgeous and always liked her
guest
@moon_on_a_string@xanga - hahahaaaaaa.
guest
Are you serious? This movie looks GREAT!!!!! I want to see it so bad!
guest
I don’t really like Miley, but it looks pretty cute so I’ll probably go see it.
guest
never read the book, won’t go to the theater to see this. i liked the notebook a lot, but it’s one of those movies you can only watch once; i tried watching it a second time last year and it was a labor.
but i think miley is cute, so i may rent it one day if i’m bored and want a cute, mindless romance movie.
guest
I wanna see it. The only thing that’s stopping me is the fact that Miley is in it :/
guest
I’ll probably see it just to see it. It’s definately not going to be comparable to The Notebook (<3), but if that was her singing in the trailer, she’s definately doing a lot better than her older songs.
hydrangea / 84 posts
I heard that she thinks it’s going to be as popular as the Notebook
guest
Miley sucks at acting. But the movie was good. The book has so much detail in it though, so creating a movie was probably difficult. It seems a bit rushed, like Dear John was. The Notebook is epic, I’m still waiting for oen of N.S.’s screenplays to beat that. It was good though! The book is better, of course, but I will be buying the movie when it’s out on DVD.
orchid / 202 posts
auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhhhh i can’t believe nicholas sparks wrote a book JUST for miley cyrus JUST so she could “sing” and break all of our eardrums…. damn.
i can’t wait until her and liam have a messy break up. then she’ll see why it’s a good thing that this movie is NOT the next “the notebook”.
rose / 855 posts
hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
guest
I won’t even bother to see it. Miley Cyrus is a horrible actress and I don’t feel like watching her butcher a good story. The next, Notebook? Umm, I think not.
sunflower / 434 posts
Her voice bugs me.
guest
Urgh. I dunno about Miley, but some of the parts with her “father” in the trailer made me laugh.
I guess I’ll go see it just so I can back myself up if/when I tell people I hate it/that she’s a terrible actress.
guest
ahahah. the title of this is toooo good! it’s true.
I mean, it’s Miley Cyrus. I know I won’t be able to forget that while I’m watching the movie.
I hate how it always looks like she’s making a pouty Myspace face.
She could NEVER even compare to Rachel in the Notebook, so she should just stop talking.
guest
No. Anyone my age that wants to see that movie without their preteen child is weird.
guest
@moon_on_a_string@xanga - HAHAHa that made me laugh
The trailer looked good until she opened her mouth: “I got Shipped to ma dadsh for the shummer.” Her voice makes me cringe. And I liked Liam Hemsworth and thought he was good looking and all…..until I found out he was dating Miley..O_o
guest
I think it’s great how some of these ladies commenting on this post are cool enough to scrutinize Miley’s LOOKS. Also, she must have SOME talent, something that these producers and Hollywood stars want, or she wouldn’t fucking be up there.
Stop hating and think about how you’d feel if someone were going to sit there and make fun of how you look. Fucking bitches.
guest
I’d go see it if it were anyone but Miley playing the lead female role. There’s just something about her face that I absolutely cannot stand.
guest
@iiinfinitesimal@xanga - SHE DOES! (have a man voice and weird teeth that is. weird face too)
guest
Just the title of this post alone makes me LOL.
guest
It just reminds me of Hannah Montana, the whole north/south thing. It gets old.
I don’t plan on seeing this movie, it looks kind of corny actually, and I just don’t like Miley Cyrus lol.
TEAM SELENA<3
guest
i would neverr in my life pay to watch something with miley cyrus. she annoys me to the core
but i might burn it, just to see if the movie itself was good
(ps why do all the couples in his movies meet at a carnival? lol the notebook, now this movie)
guest
I read the book and when Sparks said he created Ronnie based on Miley, I was like, “Huh? They do not fit each other at all!” The book was good… But the movie? Eh… With a couple exceptions, movies never do a book justice.
guest
i saw it with my little sister. the plot jumped around awkwardly, but it was not horrible. It turned out to be really sad. It was sort of a downer.
magnolia / 1030 posts
HAHAH i saw it and was thoroughly embarassed with myself
the romance part of it i could have cared less for, actually. The subplot/story with the dad was what got me
guest
anything nicholas sparks is cheesy, but i love it anyway. i’d watch it
guest
She’s no rachel mcadams!
guest
Hate Miley. Hate Nicholas Sparks. (Though I loved The Notebook and Dear John ha)
And this is unrelated to Miley Cyrus’ quote, but I think Nicholas Sparks just needs to stop with all these cheesy romances. And his “novels” aren’t even a good read…they’re too simple and straightforward. Maybe it’s just me, but I like to think when I read.
Oh and judging from the trailer, her acting isn’t the only one that feels awkward. Liam’s doesn’t seem too good either. And that little boy!!!!!!! His voice is more annoying than Miley’s.
guest
Well, I’ve always hated Miley Cyrus as well as cheesy romantic movies, but after watching the trailer, I think I’m actually going to make myself watch it.
Either it’ll prove me wrong and I’ll have to eat my words about shitty romantic movies and Miley Cyrus…
Or it’ll verify what I’ve stood by for years.
Who knows? I preach about open mindedness all the time, but I’ve been keeping mine closed.
guest
i dont understand why people are hating on miley. there is nothing wrong about being positive about your own movie. if anything, you SHOULD take pride in your accomplishments. i dont even see that comment as being arrogant…
guest
I want to see it for Greg Kinnear. And to see if Miley Cyrus can act. It’s probably not going to be a GOOD movie, technically, but it’ll probably still tug on some heartstrings (including mine, a bit, being the romantic girl that I am)…or…it could give one the need to vomit.
It could go either way. I’m kind of tired of all these Nicholas Sparks things, though, they all kind of seem TOO similar in essence, if you know what I mean.
guest
i want to see it cause it’s nicholas sparks.
i just hope her acting won’t be noticeably bad.
guest
I was planning to see it when I heard it was being made, but ever since I’ve discovered she’s in it…no, I’m not going to see it. I’m sure there will be a remake 50 years from now, and if I’m alive I’ll see that one.
guest
I liked the book, but I hate her so even if the movie isn’t completely awful, she’s going to ruin it all for me. The notebook at least had good actors.
magnolia / 1066 posts
Does she not have a right to be excited about a movie starring her coming out? Honestly, if you were a movie star and you were in a movie, would you not be extremely excited for people to see it? And so what if she wants it to be popular? It’s not like she’s saying “This is the best romance movie ever, everyone has to see it”.
I really wish everyone would stop making up bullshit reasons to hate Miley Cyrus.
guest
Definitely not the next Notebook at all. Looks corny, but we’ll see.
tulip / 19 posts
Ok, I saw this movie and it is CLEARLY not a love story as much as it is a father-daughter movie. I don’t know why she said it’s trying to be an epic love story, because it’s not. It’s a touching family story, but again, really not a love story (like “The Notebook” or a “Walk to Remember”).
Plus, Miley’s acting was horrible. I’m sorry, it was just really, really, really bad.
sunflower / 323 posts
i think the story line might be okay but miley cyrus isn’t a great actress soo … yeeeaaa .
guest
It’s PG. There’s nothing that romantic about PG unless it’s beauty and the beast. =/
guest
Heck, NO! It’s just another juvenile romance like Twilight. Young love is immature and full of fluff unless you’re serious. She’ll not be with him in 9 months and the movie will only do well because of tweens who still love her.
guest
I read the book and it made me cry like a baby. I want to see the movie….just because I’m a hopeless romantic.
guest
I doubt I’ll see it in the theaters. I’ll read the book when it goes on sale, then maybe see it depending on how i like the book. I do love Nicholas Sparks, but he’s a little overdone lately.
guest
@moon_on_a_string@xanga - Marry me!
“ass cheek covered in eyeliner and bronzer”….you owe me a new keyboard.

umm ew.
i’ll probably be dragged into it tho. i’m actually quite excited. i’ll be the one laughing really obnoxiously in the back of the theatre.

i would see it because its a nicholas sparks movie, but miley cyrus ruined it for me..so no.

I read the book and squalled my eyes out.
I REALLY want to see the movie, too.
guest
I don’t like Miley either, but I read the book and it’s one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books now. I also saw the movie, and I really liked it. Of course they left stuff out from the book, but what movie doesn’t? I personally didn’t like the ending for the book The Notebook so any of his books are above the Notebook for me. It’s the only movie that’s based on a book that I’ve liked the movie better lol.
guest
The book was amazing, but I agree the trailor is a little cheesy. But it should be good, cause Sparks wrote the screenplay before he wrote the book!
guest
It’s not a DEBUT…
guest
@moon_on_a_string@xanga - Lmfao i agree with you.
And no definitely not going to see it. im not a fan of hers and just looks incredibly cheesy. Her accent would probably distract me too

@x__RainOnHerParade@xanga - I AGREE .

WOW, All these people hating on Miley Cyrus. I saw the movie I cried my eyes out! The notebook is my all time favorite movie, and I have now replaced it with The Last Song,
Miley was great in it, her acting really WOWED me, she was amazing. I really think its wrong that all these girls are commenting about how she has “weird teeth” or ” a man voice” , its really sad you girls are either so jealouse or bored with your own lives that you have to post comments about someone you dont even like………
are you girls blind? look at that picture above? shes gorgeous… and dont disagree, because if she wasnt we all know she wouldnt be famous. Ugly people are not famous actresses, thats just the way it is. Miley cyrus is stunning, and we all know it, to say shes not attractive is saying your fucking BLIND.
guest
I want to see it, because Nicholas Sparks wrote the actual book..
guest
@word2thajbird@xanga - I saw it and Its the best movie i have ever saw.. I have always loved miley!

I bet Nicholas Sparks is probably crying right now. He now knows that money can deface his image. Miley Cyrus can kill it.
if you look at her “pout” throughout the entire trailer, try not to laugh. we all know it’s fugly.
