I’ll probably see the movie. Just because. It does not look like it’s going to be good. I think Nicholas Sparks needs to stop selling his books as screen plays..

I was going to see it when I first saw the trailer, but GOD. The publicity did more harm than good. I don’t want to see it at all anymore.

looked like a bunch of hugging and sticking her head out of the car. i dont have anything against Miley Cyrus but i do against cheesy romance stories.

i read the book.. to me it was my least fav of nicholas sparks’ books.

soo, i think miley’s wrong here. she’s trying to hype it up because it’s pretty much her one chance to step out of the hannah montana zone. which i don’t think she’ll be able to do honestly, i just don’t think she’s a great actress.

and i saw the trailerr, the acting is seriously lackingggggg. but i’m sure it’ll still make a ton of money, movies based on his books are always really popular. i just realized though, dear john just came out like two months ago! nick sparks overload, hah.

The Notebok is epic, nothing can touch that. Especially not Miley’s “acting.” My friend bought me the book for my birthday, it’s still on my shelf, collecting dust. I kind of want to see this because Liam is a total cutie. Btw, awesome title. =P

I think everyone above the age of 14 is not much of a miley fan..god and those teeth..Goodlord but back to the movie..I never paid much attention to it but when the commercial comes on i can hear her man voice and i cringe.. I personally dont care for romantic movies at all.. More of a comedy/horror gal so i shall not shell out 10 bucks for shitt..I’ll be seeing kick ass instead with a few buddss

I read the book. I thought it was pretty good! It was only my second Nick Sparks book though, so I don’t have much to compare it too!

I’ve vandalized this movie poster. I can’t stand Miley and I can’t stand Nicholas Sparks–the combination is sickening without a sharpie’d French mustache.

And, my god, her face. It enrages me. I can’t put my finger on why. It looks like an ass cheek covered in eyeliner and bronzer.

Nicholas Sparks isn’t that great of a writer, in my opinion. I did think The Notebook was a decent movie/book, but other than that, his other books are depressing or overly cheesy. I read Dear John and decided that I wasn’t interested in seeing the movie, period. Also, Miley Cyrus has to be one of the worst actresses/singers I’ve seen since Ashley Simpson. She looks like Gumby. Not only that, but she acts like she’s 25 years old. Most 17 year olds feel and act like they know everything already at their age, and I feel the same way about Miley. She’s trying to connect with older audiences and I’m just not feeling it. Go back to school, Miley…Give up the singing career; perhaps take some acting classes. Otherwise, I see her falling by the wayside of the no-talent childstars.  Disney made a bad choice.

At first, I really didn’t wanna see it, but I went and saw it today, and it was surprisingly VERY good, as long as you are into chick flicks.

i don’t really like chick flicks. i’ll probably see this so i can know if it sucked or not, yaknow?

but i honestly don’t get why everyone hates on miley so much. she’s just a kid, and grown women are bashing her like hell. it’s pathetic.

I saw you mentioned about not liking Sparks movie adaptations…why? I’ve read the Notebook and liked the movie adaptation; I mean, you can’t expect a movie to ever include every single detail or go exactly how the novel was written.

this movie was actually amazing. it made me cry my ass off 

besides the notebook and titanic, ive never cried that hard during  a movie i dont care if it was miley or not, it has an amazing story line

I have to admit that Gosling and McAdams had amazing chemistry, though, which A Walk to Remember lacked.

It does seem like a cheesy romance, but nothing too bad. I can’t get over how dark she is in the trailer though. Seriously, what is she (or her makeup artist) thinking? She’s way too tan. 

looks gay and not worth it. bad acting and story line is dumb. and if you notice in the interviews, she always gushes about her bf while he on the other hand, is very nonchalant. i dont think he even likes her :X

well nicholas sparks wrote the book for her, so she could turn it into a movie. i saw it opening night, she did such a good job. i didn’t think of her as hannah montana once throughout the movie. and it’s actually not that cheesy romantic at all. for those of you who have read the book, it’s more about her relationship with her family than with her boyfriend.

Wow people need to stop judging before they see the movie. It’s not just about romance, i’ll tell you that much. has a lot to do with family. 

every time i read the book before the movie it ruined it for me because its never the same, so this time im holding off to read it til after i see it tonight.  i think all nicholas sparks stories are great but im such a mushy person so its okay. lol i dont have anything against miley either so thats probably why im not bashing the movie

A lot, and I mean A LOT of critics have gave negative reviews about her acting/performance.  I saw a clip of it on Ellen Degeneres’s show and it literally made me cringe, but Idk; it IS her first away from Hannah Montana, no?  Proves a lot for the lack of talent but billions of dollars these people in the industry get.

i read the book and i cried like 4 times at the end (in my defense, all nicholas sparks books are really sad) i’m boycotting this movie though because miley does NOT fit the part of ronnie at all. and she’s going to ruin the whole thing.

never read the book, won’t go to the theater to see this.  i liked the notebook a lot, but it’s one of those movies you can only watch once; i tried watching it a second time last year and it was a labor.

but i think miley is cute, so i may rent it one day if i’m bored and want a cute, mindless romance movie.

Miley sucks at acting. But the movie was good. The book has so much detail in it though, so creating a movie was probably difficult. It seems a bit rushed, like Dear John was. The Notebook is epic, I’m still waiting for oen of N.S.’s screenplays to beat that. It was good though! The book is better, of course, but I will be buying the movie when it’s out on DVD.

I read the book and when Sparks said he created Ronnie based on Miley, I was like, “Huh? They do not fit each other at all!” The book was good… But the movie? Eh… With a couple exceptions, movies never do a book justice.

i saw it with my little sister. the plot jumped around awkwardly, but it was not horrible. It turned out to be really sad. It was sort of a downer.

I want to see it for Greg Kinnear. And to see if Miley Cyrus can act. It’s probably not going to be a GOOD movie, technically, but it’ll probably still tug on some heartstrings (including mine, a bit, being the romantic girl that I am)…or…it could give one the need to vomit.

I liked the book, but I hate her so even if the movie isn’t completely awful, she’s going to ruin it all for me. The notebook at least had good actors.

Does she not have a right to be excited about a movie starring her coming out? Honestly, if you were a movie star and you were in a movie, would you not be extremely excited for people to see it? And so what if she wants it to be popular? It’s not like she’s saying “This is the best romance movie ever, everyone has to see it”.

Ok, I saw this movie and it is CLEARLY not a love story as much as it is a father-daughter movie.  I don’t know why she said it’s trying to be an epic love story, because it’s not.  It’s a touching family story, but again, really not a love story (like “The Notebook” or a “Walk to Remember”).

Plus, Miley’s acting was horrible.  I’m sorry, it was just really, really, really bad.

I don’t like Miley either, but I read the book and it’s one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books now.  I also saw the movie, and I really liked it.  Of course they left stuff out from the book, but what movie doesn’t?  I personally didn’t like the ending for the book The Notebook so any of his books are above the Notebook for me.  It’s the only movie that’s based on a book that I’ve liked the movie better lol.

The book was amazing, but I agree the trailor is a little cheesy. But it should be good, cause Sparks wrote the screenplay before he wrote the book!
