I am deeply in love with her.

Those dresses are cute, but I’m cringing just thinking about hearing her sing.  The cotton commercial she does is almost physically painful for me to listen to.  After watching her on Top Chef, I noticed how she comes across as a pretentious hipster, as well.  All of that combined makes her very unattractive to me, so I have a really hard time finding the whole package appealing.  No amount of cool vintage attire will change that.

She and Katy Perry have really brought vintage back to mainstream, they’ve made it “okay” to be different and sentimental.

I think she’s adorable!  Cute clothes and her body parts are never hanging out, which is refreshing to see on famous women.

@rocking_horse_fly@xanga - I don’t know why you feel it’s necessary to be offended for her, and to be so passive aggressive about it.  (That includes calling me pet names and not actually clicking “reply” so I’d be alerted to it and instead just putting my name there with a typed “@” symbol.)

I never said anything about her other talents.  She could very well be a “goddess” in some ways… although I find it strange that you deify a celebrity like that.  I didn’t actually have an opinion on her before I saw her on Top Chef, and on that show, she projected herself as being a picky, haughty vegan who overly insulted the dishes that the talented chefs prepared for her and her friends.  Her friends agreed with her, too, and that tells me what kind of company she keeps.  The words she spoke and her mannerisms were not some sort of illusory television trick to “elevate a [...] pretentious persona [of her]“.

Her style of music annoys me, and I’m not alone in that opinion.  I stand by my original comments, even if someone I don’t know on the internet disagrees with me.

@blackspiders@xanga -  Yeah I guess it is. I see more side bangs than anything, and the blunt ones I’ve seen have been on asian girls. Heck, I have those bangs. But definitely not because Zooey Deschanel has them.
