Noah Cyrus, Miley’s 9 year old sister, is launching a line of lingerie for children. It’s called “Ooh! La La Couture” and consists mostly of French maid outfits.
The first couple of things that popped into my head when I read this.
“WHAT IN THE WORLD?”
“HOW OLD?!”
“Noah Cyrus? Miley Cyrus’ little sister?!”
” … Should I be surprised?”
There is nothing “Ooh lala” about children lingerie. I don’t feel comfortable saying “children” and “lingerie” in the same sentence. Although it’s not actual lingerie so to say, but you can’t say that that type of apparel is, well, suitable for a girl that age. Or am I wrong?
I don’t know what parent in their right mind would approve of this. This is not appropriate for a ten year old to wear. Anywhere. Not even Halloween.
I just bought my first set of lingerie recently and I’m 18. Even I was still hesitant to buy some because I still felt a little too young to wear it. (But hey, I did and they’re great.)
How do you feel about this? Am I over-exaggerating? Do you think this line will go through? And if it were to, would you allow your daughter, your little sister, your niece, your grand-daughter wear this? How old do you consider is right for a girl to wear lingerie?

My first reaction was to be disturbed. Then I actually looked up the line, and I don’t really see anything inappropriate. It’s basically a bunch of sleeveless (but with normal necklines) dresses that have fluffy, tutu-like skirts. No french maid costumes here. Actually, they don’t look that different from other little-girl dresses.
If you look in the picture (the one in this post), they don’t look that bad –the only reason it looks possibly trashy is because of the fishnets, which are NOT part of the line (they carry regular, opaque leggings). I’m not sure where the “lingerie” angle is coming from, because as far as I can tell, Oh la la couture is a CLOTHING line. One that seems to be inspired by ballerinas.
So somebody please explain –is it that Oh la la couture is adding a collection of kiddie lingerie to its existing collection of fluffy dresses? Or are said fluffy dresses being publicized as lingerie and “french maid costumes” when they aren’t actually?
guest
um, that screams horrible parenting.
and plus, i only see french maid outfits in eu bedroom o.o
guest
Meh. I don’t think they are selling actual lingerie.
I looked at the video and some of the pieces they are wearing. It’s just lacy dresses and gloves over tights. I mean, it could be trashy if the girls wore it the wrong way but I think it’s mainly to be cute. Japanese people obsess over this kind of thing. It reminds me of the gothic lolita look.
It’s not as bad as little girls (4-10) wearing ridiculously skimpy costumes for their dance recitals and competitions.
For now, I’ll say it’s fine.
guest
eww.the things some people do for money.
guest
seriously? she looks like a baby hooker! its like baby victora secret models! umm, sorry,no way! im dissapointed that they’re ok with 9 YEAR OLDS doing this! :/
guest
It’s sad to see parenting skills and judgement fly out the window when there is money and fame/recognition involved. Are Billy and whatever his wife’s name completely absent these days because they are too busy rolling around the cash their children are raking in that they say “ok” to a lingerie idea by their 9 year old daughter? Ridiculous. I’d boot my 9 year old in the behind for even knowing the word lingerie, let alone wanting to create a lingerie line.

Noah Cyrus is NOT the creator of Ooh La La Couture… I’m pretty sure Fred Segal is. She actually has nothing to do with it. They’re naming a line after Emily Grace.. Noah’s cousin/friend/whoever she is (the little blonde girl) and second of all they’re just dresses, they look ballerina-ish. There’s nothing skanky about them.

I’m sorry, but I work in a nursery. If ANY of those little kids came in wearing lingerie I would have a heart attack! This is WRONG on so many levels!

Child pornography is such a problem in this country, and there are adults in the entertainment and fashion industry allowing a child to launch children’s lingerie?! Seriously?!

guest
The picture you’ve displayed really isn’t lingerie. Young girls can dress up however their parents approve of them dressing, and apparently Billy Ray Cyrus has approved of this line of clothing. I would certainly allow my child to wear it. Although, I think the dress the girl on the left has on looks kind of awkward because she’s too tall for the waistline, but whatever.
They don’t appear to be dressing in this manor in order to draw sexual attention to themselves, they’re just attempting to be cute. If you don’t wish for small girls to dress in such a manor, you should probably be more outraged with the examples that have been set for them that have suggested this style is cute. Not to mention that dressing in any particular manor isn’t “right” or “wrong”. She can and will dress however she chooses. She doesn’t stalk you and criticize your clothing. You should probably think about not doing it either.

I’ve seen little girls underwear in a little girls (not juniors) department that looks exactly like stuff you see in Victoria’s Secret. I think that’s pushing it a little too far. Little girls should NOT be wearing fishnets, let alone lingerie!
guest
I think that children’s bikini is pretty disturbing too. Not one piece-bathing suits, but bikinis.
And I think this little girl is getting her influence from her older sister… like the fishnet tights.

They look more like Halloween costumes for wannabe pop stars.
guest
i guess the word lingerie will lose its connotation of being sexy & just revert to its annotation of being underwear & stuff
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - haha. Actually, I’m talking about the costumes that cover up just the boobs and crotch.
And judging from the picture, I honestly don’t find anything wrong. I don’t think that girl should be wearing fishnets but the line doesn’t carry that. Looking at the website, it seems that they sell just clothes. And the models are dressed pretty modestly. You should check it out.

@bAbiiExxPiNay@xanga - You mean like nipple tassels and a thong? That’s called stripping and it’s illegal for kids.

I’m just going to pretend that the word “lingerie” is erroneously used in this case, and that Noah Cyrus meant to refer to childrens’ underwear and pyjamas.
*cough*
guest
Nope. Just look up Showstoppers on Youtube and you’ll find out what I’m talking about. Just imagine that on toddlers.
Anyway, my point is that the line isn’t lingerie like the poster claims it is.

guest

guest
yeah. not really lingerie… and she’s a child. it’s not like this was her idea here…
guest
If you do your research, it’s really not that bad. I don’t think this can even be classified as lingerie. Stop jumping to conclusions & do some damn research before posting a blog like this.

http://shopatmothergoose.com/images/F0902.jpg
http://shopatmothergoose.com/images/hc-08922.jpg
I think it’s just getting the bad reputation because the media is trying to make the Cyrus family look bad. I’d rather see that fluffy tutu than the tiny leggings my mother was dressing me in as pants in the 90′s. I think it’s cute & not “french-maid”esque at all, other than the fluffyness of the skirt. In which case, ballerinas have been up to these shenanigans for ages.
guest
wth.
guest
@princess_trouble@xanga - Research before you say something ignorant like that.
guest
@MessyJessieMarie@xanga - How was it ignorant? I’ll admit what I said was a little harsh, but honestly, if I caught one of my kids wearing anything like that under, say, age 16 (and then only if there was a good reason, such as Halloween or the like) they would be grounded until they turned 18.
Honestly. Would you want your ten year old wearing something like that? Our society seems to be turning more and more towards sexualizing children, and it’s ridiculous.
guest
That is just wrong! They looked covered up for the most part which is fine. The net stockings are a bit odd but oh well we can’t see any no no parts. But the name of the line is just weird. If everything looks like what I see in the picture they’re just wanting to play dress up and if that’s the case it should be called something else. There is nothing wrong with little girls dressing up. I buy princess costumes and all that cool junk all the time for my daughter. Even though she’s not a big fan of the tutu’s. I don’t think children are supposed to look “sexy” and if that’s what’s going on someone needs a big parenting talk because Miley was basically humping a stripper pole in underwear called shorts. Idk, but what I do know is if my daughter ever asked me to buy from “Ooh! La La Couture” I’d ground her until she was married.
guest
wow… it’s sad, I mean parents don’t even have much of an option anymore on whether or not to dress their kids like tiny teens unless they can sew their own clothes, and people wonder why kids grow up so fast and pop out babies at 14… Hell I’m 23 and I can’t even find halloween costumes that don’t make me feel like a skank.

This is relevant to my interests.
I’ll start offering free candy from my van again.

LOL im in college and i don’t have lingerie so itd be weird to know my little niece has some, i really have to wonder what her parents are thinking, it really just has jail bait written ALL OVER it
guest
I don’t think such a thing is appropriate.
guest
The only age it is right to wear lingerie is the age when you are comfortable with your body enough and are in a healthy relationship – I would say the earliest is 18-21.
What a family of losers. If only they realised how ridiculous that is. Some people shouldn’t have money to start such “businesses”!
guest
i can’t actually comprehend that this is true?
why are kids trying to act so much older than their years.. they should be making the most of their youth and childhood. so many of us grow up too fast, and i wish i could be that age and so care-free again.
‘lingerie’ for that age group just isn’t appropriate or necessary, in my opinion.
what happened to being cute?
guest
WTF?
guest
@CuriousiTea@xanga - Still, if it’s literally not lingerie, the words Lingerie and Children should not be in the same sentence or in the same universe for that matter. That’s just opening up a large can of worms. Child porn issues and such. Lingerie is for adults. Barbies and Nerf guns are for Children.
guest
“Or am I wrong?”
Only if you apply it as a standard for everyone.
As far as opinions go, have at it.
I’m fine with the idea, even if the clothes were actually “real” lingerie.
Well, as fine as I am with “real” lingerie on adults, which is a bit less than most.
Anyway, I’m in line with a lot of the other commentators, in the way that the clothes just look like poofy dresses. I’m not a fan of poofy dresses, but I don’t really see how it could be seen by anyone except those with the most “modest” of dress codes.
If anything, calling it a lingerie line is just showing off Noah’s innocence, which I suppose is something to be thankful for considering the sister she has.
-Jessy
guest
Well. I do think the way your expressing yourself makes it seem like you’re over reacting but I do agree that the idea is ridiculous. Lingerie for little girls is a weird idea…what in the world would they need to dress up like that for? From the pics I don’t see anything extremely inappropriate…it’s just a strange concept.
guest
Okay, one, actually try looking up the site because it was launched in 2004, and I’m pretty sure a 3-year-old can’t launch their own clothing line. Two, although the fishnets are a bit much, the rest of the dresses, if you actually look at them, aren’t lingerie. They’re just poofy, lolita looking dresses. Do you even know what lingerie looks like? Because mine consists of things like bustiers..not puffy dresses. So I don’t even know what you’re making a big deal over.
guest
Why?
guest
increasing pedophilia……………..
guest
Mileys sister , that explains all =|
guest
I don’t know… It just looks like she’s playing dress-up, horribly. I don’t associate French Maid outfits as lingerie anymore. I see skirts like that all the time at Hot Topic (they look decent with the right top and accessories). The fishnets definitely have to go, though. Then again, it’s not like it’s any different than going to Club Libby Liu and seeing seven year olds get dressed in tube tops, made up and then sent dancing to pop songs outside the store for any kind of creepy men to ogle at.
guest
Yeah, I’m not sure this stuff qualifies as lingerie. A little out there, but this seems to be a bit of an overreaction.

guest
Having looked up the collection now I see nothing that even reassembles underwear. It’s all just dresses and few socks probably inspired by Japanese street styles like sweet lolita, decora and the western interpreted scene style. Basically colourful tutus. A cool rock princess if you so will.
So.. I think you got the wrong idea?
If I had a daughter I probably wouldn’t mind her wanting one, I used to like that kind of dresses too. Except for the animal prints… I hate animal prints and I’ll make her hate them too.

@Nellie0x@xanga - yeah I just looked at one of the sites with the stuff on there…all it is, is a long sleeved shirt, short sleeved shirt, or a tank top…with a tutu. guest
No, u shouldnt b suprised. 9 yr olds these days.

@rainbowbrite2200@xanga - My thoughts exactly when I first saw the pics. Then one reader mentioned the fishnets were not part of the line. So why let the child even wear them? It’s gross. Sure it might not be hardcore lingerie like for adults (duh they’d never get away with that), but it is still pretty bad, if i had kids i would NEVER let them walk around like that.
I know i might get alot of crap for saying this and i usually never wish or say something bad upon kids because they are usually innocent but i seriously hope something happens to them… that will show the world that dressing provocative and slutty isn’t a part of growing up and isn’t normal for children. It just draws attention from the wrong kind of people. Dress like a slut so young and obviously it is just a matter of time before some sick twisted horny on the edge pedo fuck rapes and kills you.

Definitely too young. The outfits in the pictures look like a lolicon’s best dream come true… it also looks a tiny bit like Japan’s latest Lolita trend with the skirts, but it wouldn’t look good on 10 year old girls.
guest
Fishnets= not okay for children to wear
guest
So. Not. Right.
guest
even if it isn’t literally lingerie, why call it “lingerie?” that just has certain implications and then throw “children” in the mix and…..
really, wtf.
guest
pahahaha I am laughing so hard at this right now. nothing surprises me with this family anymore.
guest
I guess I don’t understand on one level why people would be shocked by this…I mean the media is feeding our children this stuff, we allow our children to watch tv shows and movies that are way beyond their years as children, and wonder why they want to wear stuff like this.
On another hand it does bother me, and I showed my husband this picture and asked him when we have a daughter would he allow her to wear this and his answer was no. I wouldn’t allowed my child to wear fish net stocking either.
guest
Are you serious!?! WTF are they thinking. This is so wrong.

I would NEVER let my niece out of the house wearing “children’s lingerie”. This is an entire new class of trashy.
guest
First of all, when I was a CHILD I was not even wearing a little training bra, LET ALONE lingerie!
Also, I think my father would have dropped dead if I even knew the word lingerie at that age.
That is absofuckinglutely ridiculous.
Then again, Miley’s parents are totally cool with letting her go out with a 22 year old and a nineteen year old.
guest
trashy. I don’t know what’s going on these days.
guest
Aaaannnddd, we can’t say noone saw this coming.

i would freak if i saw my little sis wearing this
guest
IF I EVER SEE THAT KID, HER SIBLINGS AND ESPECIALLY HER PARENTS ON THE STREET,
I WILL PERSONALLY BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THOSE IDIOTS.
THERE HAS TO BE A LINE SOMEWHERE.
guest
The concept is horrifying. Lingerie for children, what the hell? However upon looking at their website I don’t really see anything wrong with it. There is nothing really ‘sexy’ about the clothes what so ever. They’re fairly modest and are just fluffy skirts and garish colour combinations. It comes off as the ‘cute’ clothes kids routinely wear already. Besides these clothes are nothing compared to the clothes kids wear for dance recitals; now those are some truly horrifying threads.
guest
Oh. My. Gawd.
Why.
Just why.
guest
It’s expected. Kids are going to be having sex in kindergarten next.
guest
The world is coming to an end as we know it.
guest
This is messed up, gross and disturbing o.O
guest
They’re raising our kids to be…. nevermind.
PS. I love your profile photo. It’s cool. XD
guest
WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER?
She seems so little to me. Kinda like my little sister, and I dont think anyone her age should launch lingerie lines for anyone.
guest
Did anyone actually look at the clothing line? They’re just normal dresses with tutu skirts. If I start a line called “booty shorts” that sells jeans, are you not going to buy the jeans on principle? Because they’re called booty shorts?
Seriously, everyone.
guest
*BRB CRINGING FOREVER*
Since when did 9 year olds need fancy lingerie? Who’s going to see it? :/The actual line doesn’t look as inappropriate as it sounds, but still, marketing it under the label of “lingerie” isn’t exactly a good idea.
guest
Noah Cyrus really creeps me out. She is the creepiest kid ever.
guest
what..the..hell..
guest
If it’s what they’re wearing I don’t think it looks like lingerie.
guest
That’s just a way to have another innocent child grow up and become like Paris Hilton. That just shows some bad parenting skills.
guest
I predict that Noah Cyrus will become pregnant by age 12 and I will not be surprised.
guest
That’s gross. :S
guest
This is a dumb & tacky clothing line/idea, but I wouldn’t go as far as to call it “lingerie.”
guest
nah-ah-ah.. the word “lingerie” doesnt not go with “kids”
guest
Disgusting. I don’t understand the games parents are willing to take with their own flesh and blood - on top of that - naive, innocent, CHILDREN!
Are parents completely oblivious to adults who are attracted to children WITHOUT being enticed? Are parents oblivious to the KIND of person this will make their child?
Why does a 10 year old have any business feeling sexy? (I am not exagerating, I just threw up in my mouth a little).
This is horrible. Just a pathetic society we live in….
guest
the fishnets and posing in this pic really make the outfits look raunchier than they are especially at first glance..but to me taking a harder look it seems like they are more punk rock costume than hooker. though i wouldnt let my kid wear it if i had one because im not a huge cyrus family supporter
guest
sad…
guest
ehhhh…. huh?
WOW.
Even if it isn’t lingerie, why are they calling it that? LIke someone else said it, I don’t think lingerie and children should be in the same sentence.
Can’t we just let kids by kids? There’s already enough pressure from every direction to grow up these days.

Why is a nine-year-old even starting a clothing line in the first place?
guest
I’m not saying it’s right but I looked at the things and they’re basically tutus. . .it’s not like she released push-up bras and thongs for 5-year-olds. I’m not really sure why it’s being called lingerie. . .

Mary-Kate and Ashely did an underwear line for kids at one point when they had their clothing line at Wal Mart, and there’s a chain of stores underwear stores for tweens called La Senza Girl, so it’s not exactly a new thing. But French maid outfits? Really? What the hell would a kid NEED one for? I don’t like using this word if i can help it, but I really have to say that sounds incredibly retarded.
guest
@just_the_average_jane@xanga -
have to agree with you. they look like just the thing i would have wanted to have when i was younger. my mom bought me tutus at the local dance store. i spent HOURS playing dress up…until i was in middle school…and maybe even some after that.
the line looks so very fun and silly and girly.

i totally feel you on the children and lingerie
that’s soo wrong on more than one level.
this makes me wish she gets banged and ends up as a sex slave or into prostution (maybe some sarcasm, but srsly your 9 what do you need cute under garments for?)

guest
wtfff.
i’m not that surprised.
guest
…. I bet the pedobears of the world are worshipping the horrific parenting of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus.
guest
I think this article is misinformed. On the Oh! lala website, it says nothing about “french maid costumes” nor “lingerie”. It is is inspired by ballerina costumes and it’s basically just dress up for kids.
However, on articles commenting on this clothing line, it does say things like french maid costumes and lingerie. I think people should have a look at the website before drawing conclusions that this is children’s lingerie. –good for publicity though!
guest
Slander. Inaccurate.
Go look at their actual website. None of it is lingerie.

You guys should really stop getting your material from Perezhilton.com. Because when he makes a joke or snide remark and you take it as fact, you look dumb.
It’s a CLOTHING line. Not a very good one, mind you, but they are clothes nonetheless. He made the lingerie comment because the outfits do look skanky. But there you go and take it as fact and overreact.
Once again, you fail lovelyish. Congrats.

@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Haha, actual research for the win! I’m glad you commented this and I know this now.
guest
i understand that a 9 year old wants to dress up, especially looking up to an older sister like Miley (not such a great role model for kids of that age). When i was 9 i thought i was hot stuff!! But french maid outfits and calling it a lingerie? if i was a parent i would not buy that for my child. If it was for a dance recital or competition or something like that, it would be different. i think it is a bit inappropriate for girls that young.
guest
I think that“I just bought my first set of lingerie recently and I’m 18. Even I was still hesitant to buy some because I still felt a little too young to wear it…”is over-exaggerating.
guest
what. the. fuck.
i didn’t know trashiness was hereditary.
guest
Woah. Not cool. That’s not even, like, “cute frilly” for little girls, that’s…well. Lingerie.
@bAbiiExxPiNay@xanga - It doesn’t read to me as the same as the Gothic Lolita look :\ As I mentioned above, it doesn’t look innocent enough for me, or not cute in a young way, if that makes sense.
guest
Omg Miley Cyrus little sister O.O….Honestly Im not surprised at this, I mean for those who havent seen her recent little halloween costume. She looked like a like a little whore (no offense but its true) and come on lingerie for children, wtf !!! Children do not need to wear lingerie, THEY ARE CHILDREN! It kills me how children are growing up to be very racy and its sad that a lot of children I see around my neighborhood have no class because they want to make-out and get into what grown people get into. Im 20 and I mean I wasnt a perfect child but I was raised to have class and act like a young lady. The parents of that child do not know how to discipline their children and that goes to show that the child has control and not the parent. I wasnt my parents friend, they were my provider, they gave me food and a roof over my head and the disciplinarian then was a friend last. I honestly think that if this lingerie thing goes through which I doubt it will, I know parents will boycott the product because they care about their children well being. No child needs to wear lingerie or revealing outfits, that will cause pervs/rapists to continue their sick crazy fantasy of snatching up a child and thats reality. So Lovelyish I totally agree with you….Children do not need to wear lingerie nor do children and lingerie need to be in the same sentence.
guest
i don’t know how any parent can think that lingerie is cute? i’m sure they would feel differently when a pedofile starts harrassing their daughters.

I don’t really see what they’re selling as lingerie. If it’s frilly dresses, look at it as dress up. Stop scrutinizing. We complain about all the publicity that celebs get, but do we not realize we are heaping all of it on them by doing things such as this post?
…Just a thought. Hate me or love me.

I heard about this as well, and it greatly disturbed me. It’s just…weird. I can’t believe her parents thought that was ok or a good idea. Ick.
guest
i hope this is just a PR thing. it made me laugh.
i think the frilly dress thing is cute.. the thing that is like a pleat but horizontal, looks better in dresses but w/e. also i like the gloves with the heart cut out on the back. the rest…. not so much but mainstream clothing bores me.
guest
There are some things kids don’t need to know about.

They don’t seem inappropiate. I (and possibly my friends), being the weird people we are, if we were older and had kids, we would be dressing each others sons in them. Just the dresses.
-coughcough-
But just the thought of children’s lingerie is just bad. o Ao;
guest
I agree that lingerie for kids is an N-O. If an outfit is cute, though, I’d want my kids to wear it, as long as it fits into what I like kids to wear. My tastes for childrens’ clothes are quite conservative. For example, those skirts in the displayed photo? Too short. Up to the knee or lower only. I’m 21 and still don’t wear lingerie. I’d say 18 is the appropriate age.
guest
What the fuck?!
I guess people who are into child porn just cheered. Whatever.
guest
………….The end of days is coming…
guest
That is just fucked up seriously, I wanted to say this with caps because its that angering, people nowadays are just asking for more fucking trouble in their miserable lives rather than trying to be a much better society.
guest
That girl is wearing fishnet stockings. That is /completely/ inappropriate. Little girl clothes should be… long stripey socks. Mittens. Cute scarves. Summer dresses and flip-flops. What ever happened to girls wanting to dress up nicely and putting a bow in their hair? Or to help them feel grown up, you get them a little purse?
Seeing girls like that makes me really sad. I have a four month old daughter, and I really hope… that she’ll share my opinions on what is pretty. Because, whether she likes it or not, she’ll be wearing clothing that fits her age.
And as far as how old you should be for lingerie, it’s when you no longer live with me and I can’t find it in your laundry. =P That means, if you’re staying home past 18 for whatever reason, if you’ve got it, you better hide it /really/ well.
guest
That picture isn’t half as creepy as some of the kids stuff I’ve seen in dance outfite catalogues.
In short, it’s been done before.
guest
Definitely disturbing. This will definitely make the pedophiles happy.
guest
Why in the world would someone let their daughter do that!!?
I could see this from Miley…but sheesh a ten year old…wow.
guest
thats ridiculous! thats just so wrong!!! who would even approve of such a line.
what a great future for our children and next generation to come.
guest
Miley did that imposed nude spread in Vanity Fair and she was 16..some peopled said it was okay, many didn’t. Either way, that was in appropriate for a 16 year old and this is inappropriate for a 9 year old. She has a celebrity family …they’re on a different wave length than us normal people. Chances are, this hasn’t even been a second thought in their mind.
Young kids are very impressionable and little girls should be looking up to either of these two.
guest
It’s not lingerie. Mainly just over the top clothes that look like costumes.
I wouldn’t let any little girl in my life wear lingerie, but I would let them wear these clothes.
Check out the site to see what it really is : http://www.oohlalacouture.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=collection.list

@flyfox65@xanga - You’re absolutely right. I went to my little cousins dance recital the other day. She is 4 so she was still in cute tutu’s…but some of the girls a little bit older…man, I was SHOCKED! As a parent, I would not have been okay with some of the costumes. There were little girls who couldn’t of been over ten dressed in a sparkly bra, booty shorts and leg warmers. Some looked like street walkers. I couldn’t believe it
guest
As a little girl, I would have loved to have this pink, lacey, poofy outfit..because little girls don’t think in the context that we are thinking. That this is VERY creepy. They don’t think about sex, thankfully. But they soon will.
guest
They’re growing up too fast.
guest
That’s just asking for a pedo to pick up your child…I don’t think it’s appropriate myself. If anybody wants to wear lingerie who is 18 and up do it behind closed doors. Don’t go parading around in it. I don’t care what age you are…there’s a time and place
guest
I don’t think the actual clothing is that bad, but marketing kid’s clothing as “lingerie”? Highly inappropriate & any pedophile’s wetdream. EWWWW. Do we really need to put that kind of image out there? Seriously WTF. Children & lingerie do not go together. Period.
guest
Wow, somebody actually approved of that idea? o_O

@key19@xanga - Lies. I thought about sex at that age because of what I was exposed to. Don’t kind yourself into thinking that 10 year olds DON’T know about sex or what it is. I would have loved frilly dresses too, and I still do, but this is different.
guest
tasteless but not suprising. you can go into jc penny’s and buy thong panties for little girls. seriously…like a 7 year old needs a thong?

Pedophiles everywhere are rejoicing. She is the …Mary? I don’t think I should include the word virgin in there LOL
guest
LOL! thats soo funny!

besides, ts not like its REAL lingerie
guest
They let their daughter go through with it?
Someone agreed to launch this line?
WTF is this world coming to!?!!!
guest
What is this world coming to? Who is a 9 year old trying to hook? She probably hasn’t even lost all her teeth! And why are her parents supporting this? No daughter of mine that age would be dressed like a slut. I’m ticked. Sense needs to be knocked into her the old fashioned way. And I’d send her to bootcamp for a summer when she turned 16. So she’d learn bad dress is not acceptable.
guest
Well it doesn’t look too bad…as other people have stated.
I think introducing the sexy factor to anyone who isn’t fully grown is a bit over the top though, if it were to really be what comes to mind when we hear ‘lingerie’.
guest
“Cute little girls, but If they were my daughters, NO WAY!!!”
guest
“Miley Cyrus should do this, because now she’s old enough and really looks “Hot”!!!

this is why we have rapists.

No, I would not let my daughter wear lingerie. Of course I wouldn’t! But I googled the line and here’s a link to where you can buy some of the stuff.. http://www.gingersnapskids.com/oohlalacouture.html?gclid=CN-yt8K50J8CFRwUawodbjSE0g and it’s actually pretty cute. I don’t see it as lingerie at all and the styles are pretty common on etsy and in boutiques right now. It doesn’t strike me as “sexy” or even trying to be at all. Maybe that’s just me? I would totally put my little one (coming up on 8 months) in this onesie dress: http://www.gingersnapskids.com/01ollcsp10b.html

daisy / 556 posts
I think people are probably going to focus too much on the word “lingerie” and the fact that this is Noah Cyrus. This isn’t meant to really be lingerie. And there’s nothing wrong with those outfits, for playing dress-up or something like that, or for Halloween. Wearing them out and around in every day situations might be odd, but when I was ten I wore weird outfits around town just ’cause I thought they were cool. It had nothing to do with sexuality. I’m sure to Noah Cyrus and her friend this is just like playing dress-up. I would be surprised if they are even designing the clothing.
Although, I do think that whoever came up with this name for the clothing line should have realized calling it “lingerie” was a stupid idea. Either that, or a PR agent should’ve vehemently objected. I think that the Cyruses need to fire all of their PR people, because they obviously aren’t doing very good jobs.
guest
agreed! what is going on??? who would approve of this? how can her mother think it’s alright?
orchid / 209 posts
Okay yah I just googled that and really those outfits are not that bad. They are not lingerie. I think the whole fishnet stalkings makes them look like lingerie. But they aren’t. They’re fine. That article completely overplayed it. They look nothing like lingerie at all. They don’t even say lingerie in the name. I mean the skirts are ugly. But it says “O lala couture” and there is nothing more.
guest
What. the. f…..
guest
@key19@xanga - Yes it is so creepy >_
On the other hand, I must admit I’m kind of partial to the style of clothing, it’s almost as if it’s been taken straight out of a Japanese sub culture. Though it definitely shouldn’t be worn with fishnets haha. I do think it’d be pretty cutesy with with some nice solid colored tights. I think it could potentially be very cute if worn well. On the other hand, when I consider a girl my age wearing the same stuff, it’s straight sex appeal. Funny how that worked out.
guest
lol. who are these kids trying to impress with that sexy attire? Sounds wrong. seriously…

This is so stupid…What parent would even buy their kid this stuff. You can take this as a joke or not, but pedophiles will probably love this.
guest
A 9 year old is just having fun and cant be a good judge of it……but a 9 year old shouldint be buying french maid sexy outfits.Adults buy that stuff to turn each other on and as french maid role play and whatever…I dont think 9 year olds should be thinking about their underwear that much.
guest
I’m sure it’s not really lingerie, but c’mon… that just asking for your kids to become whores in the near future. I would never allow my cousins and neices to wear such outfits. I don’t care if it might look cute to them or me, I don’t want children becoming whores. I’m still disturbed with 13 year olds having sex.

this is too funny

I completely agree with you. She’s 9. For Pete’s Sake. Lingerie + Little girl = What happened to Innocence?
Horrible Parenting.
guest
… if someone think she looks sexually appealing wearing that dress, then that’s a problem. frou frou dresses like that aren’t lingerie. they’re “couture” … I hope that’s the worst of the line. god i hope it’s not actual lingerie.
guest
To say that I’m disgusted and shocked would be an underestimation of how I feel after reading this.
guest
WTF? are you serious?!
i’m in college and i don’t even own a set of lingerie yet.
damn. talk about sexualizing children. “french maid outfits”? that screams of inappropriate to me.
guest

OK seriously? Do they want pedophiles coming for their kids??? I mean it would be like saying kiddie porn/sex is OK this Cyrus family needs to get back to normalcy, they say they are ‘down to earth’ but nothing they do even remotely resembles that – nude pics at 16 anyone?? And to those that think they ‘just look like costumes’ seriously? Why call it lingerie then??? It’s telling you to advertise the little girls in your lives to predators…..I wish I could smack their parents!!!!!!!
cherry blossom / 27 posts
What the french toast?
Seriously? I agree with you, the words lingerie and children really do not go together. For some reason I feel as if there’s a dirty old man out there looking at these pictures and getting off. It’s scary. If anything, they should just change the name to designer costumes or some crap like that, and tone it down with the sex appeal. Still, little girls dressing as french maids is still giving me the creeps. If my little sister wore that I’d smack her!
Figures that it’s Miley Cyrus’ sister doing that. Miley Cyrus dresses inappropriately already, and the parents approve of her “un-role model” like behavior. So this is nothing compared to big sis.
guest
The next generation of women in this country may grow up to be the most hopeless in the history of this country, if parents don’t put a cap on this. Left and right this stuff is popping up to get into childrens minds well before they’re ready.
guest
isnt billy ray supposed to be the all mighty protective parent? why the fuck would he let his 9 year old daughter dress that way … to let her ever create a line as bad as that … ?
guest
What a waste of space the parents are, obviously.
guest
It seems like everything has just been blown out of proportion on this topic. I don’t think they literally mean “lingerie”, it’s seems more like a “Gothic” style of clothing for kids. But I do think that Noah Cyrus is trashy almost and brings a bad reputation to Miley. Although there is no one to blame for that except the parents! I allow my 9 year old to watch Miley’s show and also her music. If this little girl was to put out music, looking that way, I would def not allow mine to listen or watch it. It just sets a bad example for kids. There is plenty of time for them to dress and act big when they ARE big!
guest
WTF. that whole family is messed up in the head. just sick.

it honestly doesn’t surprise me. but it does worry me.
im fourteen and i wonder what pressures my children will have when they’re born. me and my friend had a convo about the cyruses last night. i realized that theyre only famous because daddy was a one-hit-wonder who bought his daughter a tv show.

Currently, I’ve decided to go bankrupt and make Wall Street bail me out. This is a failing system. If I’m going to be blamed for it in the future. I at least want to get my dirty hands all over it. I don’t value my life. My life has no value.

Haha people are always so eager to jump on to the ‘OMG THOSE WHORES!’ bandwagon
I checked out the line and I didn’t think it was such a big whoop. The fishnets make the outfit in the picture look slutty but otherwise, those are just poofy pink frocks :\ Oh and I didn’t find any underwear either D:
[But I guess to each their own? D: Perhaps something I percieve as harmless seems provocative to others..]

That is sooo disturbing. -_- Who’s her target audience, a bunch of child molesters?
guest
WTF?!?!?!?!? Those little girls can’t be having sex already… that’s the big point with making lingerie… What have we come to?
guest
wtf? seriously?
guest
Yeesh, that’s ridiculous. Why would parents put their kids in that? Have parents forgotten what lingerie is FOR?
guest
I don’t normally swear in comments…what the hell? Really?
guest
… she’s definitely gonna be a better role model than her sister. hah

People are surprised about 12 year olds wearing lingerie, but posts about nude Miranda Kerr (who has the same body) are fine.
Doesn’t anyone ever remember a school girl outfit being sexualized? Surely noone here has ever seen that.
It’s cool to be a pedophile these days, don’t you know.
guest
Er, no, you are definitely not reacting, this is literally disgusting…
How can her parents/agents (whatever) think that this is even partially acceptable?!
I would pretty much think this was wrong coming from a 15 year old let alone a 9 year old?
What could a CHILD that young possibly need it for?!
guest
I’m not surprised.
guest
Are they effin kidding???
guest
*sigh* I normally don’t like to make fun of people but..
these responses are STUPID. too many people take articles for face value. but has anyone actually looked at the “lingerie” line?? they look NOTHING like lingerie. just cute little tutu dresses. and where did the word “lingerie” stem from? ah yes, a CREDIBLE celebrity gossip website.and so the gossip spreads.
learn to read beyond someone’s opinions, PLEASE.
guest
on what occasion would a little girl be wearing these, exactly?
guest
Um… even if its not really lingerie…. and is just a name for an off beat kinda funky childrens costume wear line… I still find it ridic!!! I mean shes 9 years old for gods sake… she doesn’t know a damn thing about abuisness… clothing or any of that,… obviously i know shes not truly behind it working her buisness… but i still find it stupid… why even come up with something like this??? little girls at 9 arn’t into fashion like that… they like to play outside in the mud!!! in overalls with their brothers or friends and don’t even think about that crap until later… atleast I didn’t! and i don’t think any child that has not been exposed to that sort of world would be thinking that way
tulip / 8 posts
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - I agree. I looked up the line too and the clothes aren’t scandalous at all. They look nothing like lingerie, simply dresses with tutu skirts.
guest
They look more like costumes to me. Not lingerie. By looking at the picture, it’s not even all that skimpy. Everything is covered up. And the bottoms aren’t even too short.
guest
Creepy as hell.
guest
Pedobear is pleased.
guest
This Cyrus family seems trashy. I was willing to blame Miley’s publicist for allowing her to be dressed her in a bedsheet and photographed for that magazine when Dad was at another engagement out of town. BUT given her racy video this past year and pole dancing episode at recent music award show, now Noah selling sexy dresses to ‘tweens, I really have misgivings about this entire family. Hannah Montana is also on the way out.
guest
That Noah girl is really something else. She has something wrong going on psychologically to WANT to be flaunting her body at such a young age. She probably still eats happy meals. Wtf?
guest
SOCIETY FAIL.
I work for a women’s sportswear/athleticwear retailer and manufacturer. I’ve had a number of mothers AND fathers call in asking us to make clothing for their girls as well due to the ‘mature’ nature of the garments children’s retailers carry these days. These sorts of trends make me fear for the future.
guest
It’s a little sick – kinda like when you see 10 year old girls shopping at Victoria’s Secret with their dads. In other words: fuck. no.
guest
@edgarallenpwn@xanga - Haha! thumbs up to you for knowing pedobear!
guest
The way it SOUNDS sounds bad, horrible parenting and all that.
…But from the picture, I just see a poofy pink & black dress that’s NOT short at all and has fishnet leggings? To me, I just see that picture as cute. I don’t find it sexual in the least.
guest
Way to further exploit your children, Billy Ray…
guest
If worn right it could be cute. The fishnets in the picture is too much for me that’s for sure! My sister wore worse in her dance compitiions.
Hopefully this line will be abandoned by the time I have kids.
guest
From the picture the clothes aren’t that skimpy
But it’s the idea of a child wearing lingerie, wanting to wear lingerie that I find so repulsive. You have your whole life after 18 to be an adult, children should be protected from such overt sexualization at such a young age
It’s incredibly disturbing, her parents are just using those kids as cash cows
guest
uhh. wth
miley is already messed up so no surprise that her sister is gonna be messed up too
its just plain disgusting. i would die if my cousins bought these stuff
guest
This is really really sad. First off, how does a 9 year old even start a line of clothing, let alone lingerie? Does she even know what lingerie is? What a bra is? It’s like, a child pornography run by the children themselves! I know women sometimes objectivity themselves to get what they want, but do little girls have to too?
guest
yeah the cyrus family has gotten totallly out of control now.this is just sick,i mean what 9 year old NEEDS to wear lingerie? wtf?
guest
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Ooo nice response.
guest
You are right, “children” and “lingerie” should not be in the same sentence. I do not think I would allow my niece to wear this (and neither would her parents). I think girls should be at least 18 to wear clothing that is considered “lingerie.”
guest
haha didnt they cover this in a south park episode
guest
@soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga - I would think the parents had to be involved in this as a 9 year old can not sign legal contracts….that’s what makes it even worse for to me!
rose / 781 posts
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - Exactly, so true.
guest
It’s more fancy dress tbh.
Soon see however.
guest
you’re not exxagerating at all, i completely agree with you, a children’s lingerie line is a really stupid idea, & oh it would only look bad if children wore it the wrong way? ^^^ well what’s stopping them from wearing it the wrong way if there parents bare willing to BUY it for them in the first place? i mean at 8 or 10 or even 11 years old, i hope to god they have no one to wear these outfits in front of. i mean they honestly think it’s okay, what because the girl is wearing a black tee shirt underneathe her mock hooker top. & if i ever everrr saw a ten year old in fishnets, i’d punch that mother right in the face & think nothing more of it. that’s disgusting. my boyfriend got me the cutest lingerie set for xmas & i still haven’t worn it, although i have worn other outfits before, but trust me, if i were 9 i’d be like wtf is this shit? these outfits are teaching these girls at a young age that it’s okay to be overly sexy, & the only reason this line even made it to the public is because of who her dad is, once daddy’s famous, everything will go your way .. i can’t wait till little noah is older, & famous for absolutely nothing.
guest
EEEEeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeeEEEEEEwwwwww!
guest
Even though it’s not actual lingerie…it shouldn’t be called lingerie. Gross.
guest
gross.
guest
What the hell?!
At the same time, why am I not surprised?

It’s not really lingerie. Nor does it look like French Maid outfits. They look more like costumes or really bad ballerina dresses.
guest
gross. i do like lingerie though
guest
they are little dresses…

i agree with you, but cyrus antics have no shock value with me anymore. they’re disgusting in every way.
guest
I want my girls to feel beautiful at all ages. It’s not like that stuff is REALLY lingerie. It’s like when your mom puts makeup on you and lets you borrow her heels for dress up. As long as they’re not trying to be sexy and entertaining boys in their room at age 10 [or 25 for that matter!] I don’t see it as something thats trashy. They are just trying to capitalize on how fast we’re growing up these days. (and i rly dont care how other people view my parenting techniques, and neither do the Cyrus’ … I mean really, what is anyone going to do about it?) They dont look skanky or slutty, its like dress up seriously.

I’m still disturbed by images of 9 year old girls in little french maid outfits!
My first thought were:
“WHAT IN THA PEDOPHILE?????”
guest
@just the average jane And BabieeExxpiNay
Im glad theres actually some people in this thread with enough to sense to actually look at the lind of cloths and make accurate judgements instead of just hearing the words “Child” and “Lingerie” in the same sentence and Freaking out to no fucking end.
Its called lingerie but its nothing Close to what everybodys thinking, So before you guys go calling these girls Hookers Sluts Trashy (Shame on you guys) and saying the Parents suck, please stop being so Ignorant and do some research.
guest
i’d have to see the actual outfits before i could judge.
guest
@AfterShaveApres@xanga - then maybe they should use a different word than Lingerie. Maybe a girls “costume line” would be better.
Let’s look at the word Lingerie – as stated by Dictionary.com
Lingerie: noun
1. underwear, sleepwear, and other items of intimate apparel worn by women.
Yeah… maybe they should have chosen a different word. I’ve looked at the clothing, some are cute and silly. But Because according to this definition, in my book it’s still not politically correct to describe a children’s clothing line using the word Lingerie.
guest
The saddest thing here is it won’t be just rich kids who wear it. This will probably end up on child prostitutes.
guest
groooooooooooooooooooooossssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Just for this.. I think its safe to say.. when Miley dies, she’s going to hell :} haha

It just looks like a dress to me. Little girls bathing suits show more skin and they’re generally seen as okay. (What about the belly shower fad with those little half shirts?) It could be a lot worse.
I’ve seen similar poofy dresses marketed to little girls. I think at one point when I was very little, I used to have a princess dress that looked just like one in their collection.
Also, I have yet to find an article where the company it’s self is advertising it as “lingerie.” It seems to be people’s opinions not an advertising angle. It’s not REALLY lingerie, the bloggers at Hollywood gossip just don’t approve of it.
guest
If they mean ACTUAL lingerie, then that’s disgusting. If they’re just trying to glam up little kids’ necessities with the word “lingerie” then that’s fine… but still weird. My first thought was “ew.”
guest
i’ve legit dressed kinda look a hooker during the summer since i was about 10.
guest
A shocking number of girls as young 5 are more afraid of being FAT than they are of getting cancer or losing a parent. If at 5 they’re afraid of being fat it only makes sense that a few years later they’d start to worry about their sex appeal, too…
I mean there was (not sure if it’s still there) a huge ad featuring Jenna Jameson in Times Square where lots of little girls can see it just walking down the street. Get real people. Don’t act so shocked…we’ve mainstreamed porn what did you think was next???
And watch that movie I pulled that statistic from…America the Beautiful directed by Darryl Roberts, it came out in 2007.
guest
Unfortunately, not surprising in this day and age. Hey parents, lets encourage pedophiles to molest our children!
Would I let my daughter wear this stuff?
Heh heh……HELL NO!
guest
even if its “french maid costume” and not fully lingerie it still wrongg… i mean like who let small kids wear french maid costumes for no reason??!! french maid costume is sort of sexual to me lol
This gonna attract more PEDOS for sure 0__0″
guest
Well, it’s Miley Cyrus’s sister. What more do you expect, lmao.
Noah’s going to be more of a whore than Miley.
No surprise :O!
guest
Actually, I read this post and then looked it up online. If it’s the same place, then I don’t really see what the big deal is. When I read lingerie, I thought skimpy underwear and naughty costumes. But it just looks like a bunch of tutus. If it is the same place, then I think people are just having a dirty mind. Even though Noah Cyrus hasn’t really dressed age appropriately, the clothes shown on the site don’t seem inappropriate at all.
Here’s what I was referring to:
http://www.oohlalacouture.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=collection.list
guest
that whole family in f u c k e d.
guest
Reminds me of how Brooke Shield’s mom let someone oil her up and take a nude photo in the bathtub when she was 10.
guest
That is extremely disturbing. Why would a 9-year-old try to be sexy? Who on earth would buy lingerie for their kids? My guess is, maybe “lingerie” is not the right word. Maybe she’s just referring to some dolly, cute, asexual dresses.
cherry blossom / 48 posts
I don’t think it’s appropriate, but at that age, it’s the parents, not the child.
But why are you making a big deal about it? It has nothing to do with you.
& may I add that it also makes a point that she sang a very popular song? I was singing worse, younger, and I’m sure you were too.
“picture this we were both buck naked banging on the bathroom floor.”
guest
At first I was horrified, but then I went and actually looked at the site and there really is nothing wrong with their clothing line. First, they don’t say that it’s lingerie, and none of the outfits look like french maid costumes either. It reminds me of tu tu’s…what balerina’s wear, and their leggings are normal as well, not like the fish net stockings that the picture depicts. The jackets are plain and long sleeved, nothing kinky or inappropriate. I think this would be cute for little girls to wear if they want to be dancers and such.
All in all, yes I do think this line will go through, and I would let my daughter/niece/sister wear it. If the line itself was called “Lingerie For Children”, that would be highly inappropriate, but neither the style of clothing, nor the title makes this so.
Maybe you’re over exaggerating a little =P
guest
Yes, let’s encourage child pornography.
Way to go Cyrus!
seriously….WTF?
guest
No, you’re not over exaggerating. I really think it’s disturbing. I wasn’t even allowed to shave my legs at nine years old.
guest
Heck no I would never by my babies lingerie!!! If they aren’t old enough to buy it on their own and pay for it then they are too young to have it.
tulip / 24 posts
At first I agreed, but now I think you’re over exaggerating
I looked up the clothes. They’re actually cute. They’re not too short, and they’re not at all low cut. I think they’d be cute on kids, and they AREN’T Lingerie, you just put that word in her mouth.
They don’t look like french maid outfits, at all, they’re tutus. You know, the things ballerina’s wear?
I think that society is so sexualized that we try to see everything as perverted

guest

guest
who in their right mind would even let their kids know what lingere was, let alone deisgn a lingere line…?
guest
I would want to take a good look at the site first, but at the moment, I’m having some serious JonBenet Ramsey flashbacks here. All I know is what I have read here, but based on that, my initial response would be that, no, I would not want my seven-year-old niece wearing this. (Pretty certain that my brother and sister-in-law would agree with me.)
guest
This takes a little investigating. The term you used seemed to suggest that she was promoting a line of ruffly panties and fishnet stockings for young girls to flaunt like they’re the neighborhood tramps. Doesn’t seem to be the case.
Please don’t be so misleading. The child predators got a little excited.
guest
ugh…disgusting.
guest
Inappropriate. But then again I think it’s creepy and wrong that there are bikini’s our there for five year olds. o.O
I think it shows that she’s related to Miley Cyrus. Did you see the dress Noah wore on the red carpet? I clicked on the link in your entry and there was a link to her red carpet dress. A bit short. And “hooker boots”

hm…In Germany somebody tried this and it was forbidden some weeks later. And I think this is good. Children should PLAY and not wear this stuff ?! SO WTF!!

NOAH’S FRIEND EMILY GRACE IS GETTING A LINE NAMED AFTER HER, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NOAH!

One word:
Disgusting.
But here’s your more liberalized pageant-esque culture it seems the Cyrus’ come from. How can some people not understand the connotations of “ooh la la” and the subtle (or not) marketing messages behind this clothing line? Lingerie-like or not these clothes are inappropriate for children. I also noticed bAbiiExxPiNay mentioned it reminded them of the gothic lolita look…look up the definition of lolita. *shakes head in disgust*
Also, they may not come with fishnets but they are certainly selling the image that they go well with them on the official website. The marketing path they’re choosing is just sickening.

@cutesycharm@xanga - Hi um.. do you know me? I’m not kidding myself, I knew what sex was at age 10. In fact, we had sex-ed in my elementary school in the 5th grade. I think I knew what sex was at age 8! However, I wasn’t thinking about lingerie and I didn’t have sexual thoughts in general at the age of ten. I don’t think I even knew what lingerie was. Do I REALLY need to rephrase it? Here, just to clarify: The AVERAGE 10-year old isn’t thinking about sex in the context of these outfits. Is that better?

i dont think its actually lingerie, just fancy costumes
but too much for 9 year olds
its disturbing.
they’re father is a creep thats the real problem

I thought this was a joke…so now what’s going to happen is that the guys who can’t tell the difference between a child and an adult, as the line seems to be ever shrinking, are going to be thrown in jail for being attracted to this…but please tell me what exactly the point of lingerie is if not to attract people? On children?! Are you joking me? Seriously this has got to be a sick joke…I know it isn’t, but oh how I wish it was. Billy Ray Cyrus needs to be horse whipped.

That and… It’s kind of ugly. xD IMO.
guest
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Thank you for looking beyond the title of this post.
I agree that the colors and patterns are reminiscent of trashy outfits — (leopard print, with black & hot pink? seriously??) — but the construction of the clothing itself is not bad. As Jane said, there are no low neck lines, no midriffs, and the skirts are fluffy, not tight, and fall modestly to just above the knee.
I’m just as eager to jump on the Cyruses for being imbeciles, but let’s not ignore reality, either.
guest
definitely runs in the family.
guest
First of all, the girl is 9 years old! Instead of being a child she’s “launching” a new line of clothing? What would possess a little girl to want to get into business? Haha…
But really, even though said lingerie isn’t so promiscuous, it’s still strange. Poor little girls everywhere are being possessed by society to look good and invest so much time into their appearance… instead of being a kid!
guest
Regardless of if it is actual lingerie or not, just puting that title on there is wrongggggggg. Children and lingerie should not be put in the same sentance….what does it do for easily influenced kids?
“Ohhhhh Miley Cyrus’s sister wear’s lingerie, it must be cool. I need to wear it too”

This just goes to show that Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife did not raise their children all that well. With Miley’s pole dance… These kids have too much focus on sex and not enough on being young children/teenagers like they really are.
guest
Biily Ray Cyrus is a devowed Christian. What is he thinking allowing his daughter to do this? This is why kids are way over sexualized. If we don;t go back to old fashioned ways of bringing up our children, we’re going to have several generations of lost children. Or should I say little adults. This is ridiculous. Kids look up to Miley Cyrus and because it’s her sister they will want to follow. And Guess what, a lot (not all) of parents will allow their kids to purchase this stuff. What else is their to say, but shame on you Mom and Dad of Noah for allowing this!
Hannah

seriously? Just not ok. I won’t even let my 11 year old sister go out in public unless she’s in pants, or a skirt that goes below the knees, and the shirt has to have sleeves! this is just rediculous!
guest
I was disturbed in the beginning but when I looked it up, no where did it say this was a lingerie line.
They advertise it so: “to create a line of fun and funky, yet sweet and girly clothes that are comfortable enough to go with their active lifestyles.”
Not bad. Nothing too trashy. It’s just a clothing line.
guest
it’s actually kind of smart, in my opinion. i’m not too sure about the whole lingerie thing, but hey, starting young. i mean, if a 9 year old girl is doing this now, then what’s she going to be doing in 5 years? 10 years? she has her whole life in front of her and to launch something like this at this age, she’ll know everything (business/marketing wide) by the time she’s 19. She’ll probably launch so much more lines (clothing, perfume, makeup, who knows) by the time she’s like 16 and hey, her life is set. she doesn’t have to work a day in her life. pretty clever, if you ask me.
guest
That’s horrible.

honestly, wheres the class? this is ridiculous, what happened to the 50s where class was good & trash wasn’t. this is ridiculous & sickening.
guest
That is so wrong….

This just goes to show how our culture is dying. Parents no longer care. They just let the kids do whatever the fuck they want. Hell, why should her dumbass father care? He let – and I’m resurrecting an old issue here – Miley appear on the cover of magazine in only a sheet while she was underage. Gods, this damned clothing line is gonna be fuel for the pedophiles of the world.
guest
@loveme__honestly@xanga - You do realize she has no idea what the fuck is happening. A team of people are using her name and image to sell this shit. That’s the case with most celebrity lines. Most of the celebrities who have these perfume and clothing lines are self-absorbed idiots. She’ll grow up following her sister’s example and be the same thing as Miley: A slut.
guest
@HannahNow@xanga - I agree wholeheartedly. One reason I’m a social outcast. I’m sixteen years old and believe that the teenage culture is flawed beyond belief. Most worship sex and celebrities, blindly following the crowd and people with IQs equal to that of a goldfish. And sadly, a lot of modern parents don’t care, and even spoil their children. Personally, I’m glad my parents disciplined me. The morals I’ve been surrounded with for the first sixteen years of my life have stuck and show no signs of fading, despite being surrounded by – quite literally – a thousand teenagers a day.

@rushed_luck@xanga - blindly following. that’s ironic. this article is almost entirely false. It’s not created by Noah, the line isn’t called lingerie, nor does it have anything other than dresses. It was created in 2004, actually.
it’s also ironic that you say the morals you’ve been surrounded with the first 16 years of your life have stuck. so you just used the morals of the adults around you and haven’t developed any for yourself?
what’s flawed with the teenaged culture is that every single one of them thinks their morals are better than everyone else’s. get off your fucking high horse.
guest
Regardless of how ‘bad’ it is… I think sexuallizing little girls is dangerous and foolish. Not only are there immediate concerns of pedophiles, but even if those are not realized the higher percentage concern is what the lessons these little girls will learn about their value and how to use thier ‘assets’ later in life.
guest
My first lingerie happened when I was 15.
Then again, I’ve always aspired to be a fetish model, and I wasn’t sleeping with anyone. It was just for me. It made me happy.
9 year-olds, though? No thanks.

@rushed_luck@xanga - ummm newsflash
“it’s also ironic that you say the morals you’ve been surrounded with the first 16 years of your life have stuck. so you just used the morals of the adults around you and haven’t developed any for yourself?”
Thats how development works…. Of course most people around that age are starting to question, test, and develop thier own variations on those morals. Read a few studies and you’ll find that good, bad, or indifferent your morals are developed as a result of your environment, and unless you live some ‘Lord of the Flies’ life…that is predominantly determined by adults.

@Elemental_Beginnings@xanga - For the sake of your sister, I hope you live in a cooler climate. That stuff wouldn’t fly where I live; it gets to be 115 degrees in the summer.
guest
all I can say is WHY?!
guest
yeah, that’s messed up.
guest
hell no you are totally right.. I seriously dont get the marketing startegy here… but yeah wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too young
guest
Let’s see if she gets pregnant before the age that Jamie Spears did.

@cheesecakeloverk@xanga - Believe me, I have many of my own morals and ideals(though many are very different from most peoples’). And the “adults” that you refer to are 1: My mother(my father is now a drunk and no longer lives with us, so he’s rubbed off very little on me), and 2: My preacher, who is a brilliant man. And it’s not only the teenage culture that’s flawed, it’s the whole planet. I’m not on a “high horse”, I’m (unfortunately) human, and am therefore flawed. And my school has literally over one-thousand students, and I do observe them at times. They’re mostly self-absorbed, blind, ditzy, sex-crazed idiots. But I have seen some that aren’t. And sadly they’re in few supply these days.
Funny how it seems most are in Europe.
guest
@Vukovi@xanga - In all truth, most of my current morals are my own. I was referring to certain values and beliefs. Now, a lot of what I believe is considered radical by the mainstream. A lighter one being: I refuse to follow any fads and I am who I am, meaning that I let no one shape my beliefs and my values anymore. My own family has problems with how I think. But, I really could care less what they think, after all, I respect their values but literally every family member – whether it be directly related or my cousins – has ridiculed me for what I believe and value regardless. I’m an outcast of society and of my family, and I stopped caring a long time ago.
guest
the pedophiles are lining up.
guest
It’s like Pedophiles’R'Us finally got their clothing line. Next up the actor we all know as Jacob from Twilight’s little brother will be modeling this stunning Mr. Slave outfit complete with a cut out ass for easy access.
guest
@rushed_luck@xanga - Yay outcasts!!! I’m in the same boat!
guest
this is really weird. who would buy this kind of sh*t!!!
guest
I clicked the link, watched the video.
I didn’t see anything that looked like a French maid dress. I saw two little girls in fucking tank tops with appropriately thick straps and tutus.
Which is, ah, last I checked… pretty fucking age appropriate.
cherry blossom / 30 posts
you seriously are overexaggerating the concept.
If you would go on the website you would see its just a bunch of dresses 9 year olds like to wear. They’re into that kind of stuff..
where the hell did you get CHILDRENS LINGERIE from? you sicko..
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.
xanga is so dumb for posting this title.. super ridic.
guest
i’m sorry, but calling this lingerie is just a bit absurd.
if you look at the actual website selling the clothes you’ll see that there’s nothing wrong with the actual clothes. There’s just a lot of dresses with ruffly skirt things.you could hardly call them french maid outfits.
guest
ew.gross. noah is gross. have you seen her youtube videos? she doesnt even know what shes doing.
guest
I find this extremely wrong. especially because she’s so young. I don’t think women should buy lingerie until they are at least married, you know?
guest
Ohkay..well first of all you need to re check your sources because she isn’t launching anything.
she’s wearing that because that was her outfit for the preparty of the choice awards. sooo yeah.
guest
The dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Parents, protect your little girls from old pervy men by not dressing the like prostitutes.
guest
I presented a speech about teen marketing and this stuff is horrible. Clothing lines and offices actually target these younger children on purpose because they know that they look up to teens. They have a strategic way of ‘helping’ them ‘mature’ faster so that they could sell more. It’s absolutely ridiculous. And it doesn’t help the fact that older siblings and moms are also falling into these traps that marketers are setting.
guest
This is so wrong, on so many different levels.
guest
Actually it’s her blonde friends line that Noah’s help to model in. And the mother is fully aware
Perezhilton.com posted a vide with both of them in it
guest
I’m not that surprised, were speaking of someone related to Miley Cyrus, a girl who has pictures out of herself that arn’t exactly appropriate. Kids like this need to be sat down and spoken to, I wouldn’t want my kid, (if i had one) wearing shit like that. In all honesty. It’s ridiculous.
& something more ridic is her friend on the right seems to be lifting a layer of her cheetah skirt up……..really now? LOL, these kids need work.
guest
O_O
i wouldnt even wear half that stuff.. even if i had the body.
guest
noah is a slut, have you seen the video of her dancing to smack that?
guest
I’m Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC… Do you mind having a seat over there?
guest
The outfits in this picture aren’t even bad.
I wouldn’t call that lingerie. It’s normal, pink, floufy dresses that kids typically wear.
just, plus tutu’s and fishnets.
haha.
guest
WHAT? NO way am I buying lingerie for my daughter. I think this little girl is crazy to come up with that idea. Lingerie is only for adults not for kids.
guest
doesnt look like lingerie, but calling it that is wrong in the first place.
disgusting
guest
Everyone needs something to hate dont they? its sad that you need to hate on a little girl.
and i think its ugly that GROWN WOMEN need to make a blog about a LITTLE girl and her clothing line. Your JEALOUS that she is more sucessful at age 9 then you will be your WHOLE LIFE. its NOT trashy clothes its tutus and frilly things IF THIS WAS ANY OTHER CHILD YOU WOULD THINK AWE HOW CUTE but because shes mileys sister you have to hate on it.
I SAY GO NOAH
times are changing and kids are growing up faster thats just the way it goes.
guest
i am for it
women dress skanky all the time – that’s where these girls are learning it from.
guest
That is just wrong. As far as I know, women wear lingerie to look sexy. That shouldn’t be done to little girls.
guest
omg !! wtf :O
guest
It doesn’t really look like lingerie. It looks like tutu outfits… who labeled it lingerie? All they say is “ooh la la couture”
So I really am not concerned at this point…. HOWEVER.
If it is, in fact, lingerie. It’s weird stuff at best. And that’s really strange parenting. She’ll be pregnant at thirteen.
It’s the new Britney and Jamie lynn Spears! Yayyyyy disney. You know how to pick ‘em.
guest
okay when you hear the words:
french maids, lingerie, lace, and a line called “ooh! La La Couture”what do you think? Honestly!whoever buys these clothes or lingerie and dress their child up in it is their odd business.
guest
Oh. My. Word. *picks jaw up off of floor
guest
That is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, these children are how old plus the fact that her sister’s 9. I have to admit, the stuff seems cute, though.. <____<
guest
perfect
..for a child prostitute
guest
this is so seriously fucked up. who is marketing this shit
guest
i’ll bet she’ll grow up to be 10x miley cyrus’s sluttyness
daisy / 661 posts
i would NEVER let my daughter wear something like that at that age. i agree.
guest
which parent in the right mind would let their kids take that to a effing designer!
guest
It is very disturbing to call it lingerie. Little girls shouldn’t own anything with that title. The actual outfits aren’t really that inappropriate though.
guest
& then people wonder why little kids are getting raped and molested.. Personally, I think it’s disgusting. Not Cute At ALL!
Just like when I walked through walmart, and saw little girl’s bra’s being all bright and flashy colored with PADDING… kids are getting sluttier younger.. where is the modesty? I believe that a girl’s best kept secret is her body. only to be shared with her First and of course ONLY husband.. maybe I am old fashioned? So what if I am.
I know I would never let my daughter wear ANYTHING of that sort. gosh i could go on for days about this.. but i’ll stop now.
guest
i think this is over exaggerated gossip that most people thrive off of.
it’s not lingerie. it looks like a tutu and cute outfit. The tutu lacy poofy look is in style for kids right now

just so everyone can see it. :]
i had a talk with my boyfriend about this the other night.
we came to a few conclusions
1. where are her PARENTS when she was put in the outfit in this picture:
(the one used on both of these posts)
http://x73.xanga.com/f738400347258263014413/z209648440.jpg
- my parents didnt let me wear fishnets til… never.
they are a bit risque especially for someone of such a young age.
even if its a costume, a joke, playing dress up, ect.
perhaps its should not be put out there for the world to see.
celebs have no privacy what so ever and i feel bad for that.
however, perhaps they should not be taking these pictures in the first place.
2. NO ONE at ages 8-11 truely know what sex is, what sexy is and the
consequences of the above. at those ages i spent my time reading harry
potter and baby sitters club. not trying to be sexy. perhaps little noah is
just playing and it is being blown out of proportion. she cant possibly be
being ‘sexy’ because she cant possibly know what that is.
3. oh la la made my boyfriend think of a book named lolita…
for those of you who don’t know what that is – google it.
not saying theres a refrence or a deeper meaning – he just had that as
a first thought and i wondered if any one else out there did? male or
female? and no – he has never read it nor is he some type of ‘creep’.
4. parents, parents, parents, oh, where are you? when your babies are
being put out on the internet looking so whoreish. perhaps they should
come out of their houses and say “HEY MY DAUGHTER ISNT A SLUT.”
you all know what i’m saying, right? make a press statement. somethin’.
anyway, i hate leaving comments cause every one either tears you
apart or cheers you on. honestly i dont care much either way. i just wanted
to make some of MY OWN OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS which i am
allowed to have. in no way am i and saying, this is the truth. live my word…!
i am just sharing. but feel free to message me if you agree. i would love to
tell you what else i think and what else my boy thinks. :]
PS:
THE CLOTHING ISNT EVEN THAT BAD.
maybe not for every day but a special occasion, maybe.
although my parents would have NEVER bought me anything like that.
however that was the ’90s and times- they are a changin’
TIMES.
THEY
ARE
A
CHANGIN’
keep that in mind, everyone.
each generation seems to get ‘sluttier’
but maybe we’re all just gettin old and bitter.
who knows.
i dont.
guest
Ew.
This is a perverted man’s happiest dream and every parents’ worst nightmare.
I hope this never sells.
Why is a 9 year old even designing a clothing line? That is just wrong on so many levels.

It is welinks of london sweetie braceletll acknowledged that Michelle Obama has a special affection toward pearls. Having no advantages in face and figure, Michelle Obama, however, draws the admiration of the majority of people for her sensitive taste on fashion and capacity on dresses and jewellery. Taking her age, taste, status, and figure into consideration, global women in the middle class get an ideal example to follow. As for these professional women with high positions, they also finally get a charm bracelet model who deserves to be imitated.

So I looked it up and its not that bad, its no where near being lingerie…maybe if you put it on someone who is like 5 feet tall. But in reality its just poofy skirts and matching tops that are more punk. I mean honestly none of the items I have found shout “I belong on a street corner” It’s just more of a day to day dress up game collection.

It’s not supposed to be lingerie. Ooh la la couture isn’t her line, either, she just has one line in their collection. I think they’re cute.
