1. Softlips
I always have really dry lips, no matter what the season. The first time I used softlips I fell in love. It’s not a sticky as chapstick and the scents are much more pleasant. I carry my softlips with me everyday.
2. Victoria’s Secret Pear Glacè Body Butter
I’ve always loved everything Victoria’s Secret (products will show up various times on this list). Their body butters are my absolute favorite, though. The Pear Glacè doesn’t really smell like pears. It has more of a cucumber scent. I only use body butter on my hands because that usually the driest part of my body.
3. Garnier Fructis Style – Wonder Waves
I love Garnier Frutis’ styling products and I usually always wear my hair in beachy waves. This product helps keep it wavy but doesnt make it greasy or hard. ‘Nough said.
4. Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener
Perfect if you wear acrylic nails or get your nails done alot. Helps prevent tearing and breaking. Every girl hates a broken nail.
5. Olay Complete Moisturizer
My face only gets oily at my chin, the rest of it is dry and flakes easily. Olay Complete moisturizes my face without breaking it out and it doesn’t make my skin feel overly moisturized or oily. I put some on every morning and my face is soft and touchable for the rest of the day.
Have you used any of these products? What’s your opinion on them? What are some beauty buys you couldn’t live without?

LOVE SOFTLIPS. They once stopped making the one I liked and I bought every single one I could find. Apparently, enough people liked it that they brought it back but I had one in every purse for a long time.
I am going to have to try that nail strengthener and possibly make my own list!

Softlips doesn’t make my lips less chapped or soft.
Victoria’s Secret Body Butter is too “buttery” and thick. It also melts.

i used to use the olay stuff but now it smells like sunblock :/

i love Softlips. At any given time and in any given purse, I have like 6 of them floating around!

I like the Body Shop’s vitamin E moisturizer for my face. I put on a thin layer and it feels great

i love the olay moisturizer and i love it, i’m not to fond of softlips because it dosent really help my chapped lips , burts bee’s is really good thou .

I agree that softlips doesn’t help chapped lips. It just protects them from getting worse. I use them when my lips are fine and I just want some shine or whatever, you know? And the scent is amazing, I love the vanilla.

I love using softlips. best lip balm ever

Olay! I have this too! From Costco!

garnier makes my hair oily faster than anything else and it makes my scalp flakey, yuck.
VS is not that cheap? and their body butters are gross if you don’t store them perfectly.

I love Softlips!

LOVE SOFTLIPS – makes my lips soft and smooth. Anything Garnier I loathe and despise with a passion. Garnier has NEVER rinsed cleanly out of my hair and always leaves it gunky, weighed down and oily. For my hand lotion I use Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Hand Cream in Jasmine Vanilla. It gives the same benefits as body butter but without that weird texture.
I’ll have to try the Olay moisturizer.

Softlips chap sticks really suck Nieva is soooo much better, it’s my holy grail chap stick…I’ve never used anything else on this list besides the Victoria’s Secret body butter, which I am in love with!

i use the olay complete moisturizer with SPF 15 and yeah, it kind of smells like sunblock. i haven’t seen a dramatic improvement or anything, but it’s not making me break out, so i hope it’s doing what it is supposed to do.

I use the Olay moisturizer (with spf 15) but I don`t like it very much, some days it`s too greasy and on others it doesn`t hydrate enough. Also, I have been burnt even though I was wearing the moisturizer

@poeticimageno36notfound@xanga - I used Burt’s Bees over the summer… big mistake. If I stayed out in the sun more than thirty minutes my lips were instantly sunburnt. They’d swell and it’d be horrible. I’ve yet to use Burt Bees since.

softlips is too small for me i lose them quick except for one i used to the very end which was a miracle,(so i use blistex bigger and cheaper[so i dont care if i lose it] and still has that menthol tingle to it) but i hear the olay complete recommended by a lot of celebrity makeup artists, you maybe onto to something there
guest
@JoeytheGenie@xanga - darling, you’re supposed to wear an additional layer of sunblock UNDERNEATH your moisturizer. spf 15 is just not enough! :p

I have Softlips and I’m addicted to it. I also use Olay’s moisturizer too.

My skin almost always form an allergic reaction to products, and that includes SoftLips, Chapstick, Olay, etc…
I can’t stand body butter in general, and I don’t need the other two products.
It’s always interesting to see these lists because it just show how many different “needs” there are out there.
guest
I use that Olay moisturizer too, and I really like it.
Softlips never did anything for me… actually I think it made my lips peel… but it does smell nice. I’ve been using some chapstick from the Gap for a long time, and I really like it.
guest
Softlips is amazing. I can’t use regular Chapstick now, it just feels like wax sitting on my lips.

i use pear glace body wash. it smells soooo pretty. haven’t used anything else on the list.

i hate the wonder waves collection. it makes my waves hard and stringy. I prefer the sauve surling mousse.
guest
I guess I’ve lived without all of those.
though I’ve wanted to try the Softlips stuff..

I want to try to Olay moisturizer! I have the same problem, except my chin and cheeks get oily way faster than any other part of my face. Usually I use Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and it works amazingly!

@BellaGlam - There is no way I am paying $2.49 for Nivea. And it’s only SPF 4. And it’s not that moisturizing.

@iheartemo26@xanga - GAP makes lip balm? I had no idea. It is now on my to try list.
guest
@hallentine@xanga - the spf 15 should be enough for daily wear if I don’t make the effort to go out in the sun (it should protect me for the 5 min when I get in and out of the car &etc)
guest
I love Softlips. I especially love the vanilla flavor.

Of all the lip balms that I’ve tried, Softlips is the best! Well, next to Burt’s Bees Pomegranate lip balm, anyway…
I use the Olay moisturizer too.

I don’t use any of the products listed. Softlips isn’t moisturizing enough; I feel like I have to reapply every few minutes. Like someone else said, Garnier hair products leave my hair feeling greasy and flat- dust used to cling to my hair from all the residue that the Garnier shampoo and conditioner left on it. I was the girl with dusty hair! I’ve never used the Revlon nail hardener, so I can’t speak on that. Olay products make me break out, and it’s usually too strongly perfumed.
My five not-so-cheap but must-have beauty buys:
1. Aquaphor; it’s sort of like Vaseline but absorbs better with longer-lasting moisture. I have a tube in every bag, the car, at work, and every room in the house! I use it on my lips, hands, feet, and elbows. It’s a great multi-purpose product!
2. DDF Ultra-Lite Moisturizing Dew. It’s great for my oily, acne-prone skin. Also comes in SPF 15.
3. DDF 10% Glycolic Toning Complex. Keeps my skin smooth and youthful looking.
4. Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. It really is gentle and rinses off thoroughly. I don’t know if it’s good for people who wear a lot of makeup, though.
5. Aveda Shampure Shampoo and Conditioner. It’s gentle on my fine-to-medium hair, and it smells good.

I use to love SoftLips, but then I became allergic to it.
guest
i don’t use any of those products there, but my friend has softlips and i tried a bit of it, and it smells really nice. i might buy that sometime this week and the olay moisturizer too~
guest
so sad that only #4 is available in Hong Kong
guest
I have the pear glace body butter by victoria secret, i love the smell! I may try the softlips now..
guest
i’ll try later =]

Softlips has never worked for me. I use Carmex and can’t live without it!
guest
soft lips is alright. it runs out really fast since its so small. i think nivea works best for my dry lips. but i guess it depends on the person
guest
I like Olay, but ever since they changed the ingredient they use for the spf in their moisturizers, my skin burns (not like a sunburn, but more of a stinging feeling). Even the sensitive skin one hurts. Also, I don’t like Soft Lips because no matter how many times I’ve bought it, it doesn’t moisturize my lips, it dries them out!
guest
I am addicted to chapstick. I use softlips too & it’s amazing, I carry like 4 on me at a time but I tend to lose them a lot & I used them so often they get short & break really soon. Right now I only have 1 tube with me but it’s new so I’m good until I can get to the store to buy more & my grandma mails me other flavors when she sends packages because they only have cherry here & I love the vanilla ones too lol.

VS’s Natural Body products are wayy better than their typical scented body sprays and lotions. Softlips actually dry out my lips even more >.< Burt’s Bees and Kiss My Face lip balms are much more effective.
