Jersey Shore continues to influence. In LA and NYC hair salons, women are requesting the “Snooki”. It helps one appear taller than she is. (Snooki is 4’9”). The Rachel haircut (Friends), move over! “Snooki” is the style of 2010!
Would you get the Snooki?
guest
Not even if I was paid for doing it.
sunflower / 448 posts
You mean…teasing your hair so it’s taller? I don’t get it.
sunflower / 380 posts
HELL NO. That would be like me getting the Kate Gosselin aka not gonna happen
daffodil / 1601 posts
Uhm, no. Why look taller when you’d be obscuring your face shape? Seriously…get a pair of heels.
guest
No, although my hair stylist tried giving me one the last time I got my hair cut. I told her to trim my hair, and she ended up “rounding it out” and teasing the top so it looked hideous. I was so mad. If I want to damage my hair, I can do it myself–I don’t need the help of my hairdresser.
guest
How is this considered “the Snooki”? Bump its came out long before Jersey Shore started and teasing your hair has been being done even longer than the bump its have been out.
guest
@rizzyBeautifullyBroken@xanga - LMAO.
guest
i think girls have been doing that… its not really a new style or anything.
guest
Just tease your hair yourself, geez.
guest
oh dear lord… no way!
tulip / 9 posts
Just buy a bumpit. Although, who on earth would want to imitate Snooki?
tulip / 22 posts
It’s not a real hairstyle. It’s just making your hair a massive mound on your head and putting a clip that is entirely too noticeable in the back to keep up piled up. It also doesn’t bode well in fist fights. Who’d want that?
cherry blossom / 48 posts
It’s nothing new, and that’s just over exaggerated. Pouf-ing your hair is one thing – the Snooki is just an extreme.
guest
Bump it meets Morticia
guest
Um. NO. I don’t want to date someone who looks like they belong in the 1970s.
daisy / 543 posts
Wow, really? I guess women want to look ugly.
No, I would never get it.
guest
Never
guest
I do love teasing my hair on occasion, but her poof is just a little too ridiculous for my taste
guest
I like the ‘bump’
It’s not called a snookie
guest
oh damn she’s short! lol.
guest
Gross, i can’t stand Jersey Shore.
guest
Ive been doing the snookie since high school this is old news
orchid / 222 posts
Not even if someone held a gun to my head.
guest
ew.
guest
never in a million years!
sunflower / 355 posts
Never, unless it was for a Halloween costume. I don’t think it makes girls look taller. Snooki still looks short like a garden gnome.
guest
Its OUTDATED and from the 80s. I would rather wear my hair as an individual than to copy ANYTHING that comes out from a TV show…
guest
Hell. to the no. However, a lot of the girls that I teach have been starting it. And it makes me want to vomit.
guest
er no.
guest
No! I’m four nine too, but I’d never consider being like her. She’s too sassy!
guest
if someone is that small then this hairstyle isn’t going to help. This person will still look like a little short sh*t. But I happen to like the hairstyle.
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - LOLOLL
rose / 853 posts
Uh, I thought this was already a look before she was ever called “Snooki”.
guest
I stopped teasing my hair as soon as she exploited it. =/
rose / 785 posts
i love snooki, just throwing it out there.
sunflower / 484 posts
I don’t want to damage my hai by ratting it that much. Never.
guest
There is no way in hell I would ask for that even if my life depended on it.
rose / 770 posts
Are you fooking kiddin me?
guest
That’s like asking me if I want to be shorter (even though it’s only about 3 inches) and turned orange and fat.
orchid / 139 posts
God no! She is sooooooo trashy and as I’ve heard her called, an ‘classless troll.’
sunflower / 293 posts
Absolutely not
rose / 917 posts
Nope not at all
hydrangea / 96 posts
@afadedphotox@xanga - hahahahhahahaha good one!
guest
Isn’t that just using the “bump it” stupidity? How ridiculous. And no thanks, I like my hair.
guest
YUCK.
hydrangea / 88 posts
I’ll pass, haha…. gross.
guest
never.
guest
that is definitely NOT a new style.
guest
Never. Living in NJ, that show makes me so angry!
guest
old news. she just makes that hairstyle look lame.
guest
wow, she looks terrible
hydrangea / 84 posts
i’m sorry, but snookie is one of the ugliest, trashiest looking people on tv.
guest
I wouldn’t wear it but I think it works for her
.
guest
NO THANKS!
I can’t pull off a mini-poof anyway
guest
wow. negativity here is astounding….
fashion will come back to haunt everyone. like it or not. This hairstyle isn’t a new trend here in NY. It’s been around for a couple of years. The rest of you just need to catch up
haha j/k. To each his/her own right? Let’s not bash others.
Personally I think Snooki is adorable.
cherry blossom / 38 posts
No, No and No. Please someone take her away!!
rose / 847 posts
Eww.
guest
fuck this show.
guest
No!
daisy / 743 posts
Why bother.
guest
I don’t get it.
guest
Helllllllllll no.
sunflower / 366 posts
oh my gosh. they call it a snooki now? O_O. just plain uglllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
sunflower / 490 posts
noway
guest
I’m 4’11″. I’m not going to damage my hair with back-combing and hairspray to look taller. That’s what heels are for. :/
guest
hahahah, that girl is so ridiculous.
guest
no thanks!
dahlia / 2942 posts
Haha no…I’m short, but I’m not desperate.
guest
uuuggghhh no.
guest
no. it’s just a cheap version of the pompadour
guest
NEVARRRRRRRRRR!!
sunflower / 323 posts
… people have been doing that for , how long ?
+ it makes you look taller cz you teased your hair ? haha , heels or shoe lifts would be beter options
hydrangea / 65 posts
seriously i’ve been doing this for years. but now she’s killing it. thats bump is way bigger than her head.
guest
No, it is way overdone!
guest
do jersey girls really look like that???
guest
no… a smaller ‘poof’ looks better.
guest
Haha, that’s interesting. No, not for me. It looks like she’s wearing Bump It.
guest
That hair style was so 2008. Everyone at my high school had it. Next!
guest
Why would someone WANT to look like a guidette?
guest
that shit isnt even new to me.
note: i live in california
guest
hell no. thats got to be one of the Worst hair styles i’ve seen in a long time! its right up there with kate gosslin*spellcheck*lol good lord… people will do anything they see stupid people on tv do
guest
It can look good on some people. But it really should not be a permanent hairstyle. That is way overboard.
guest
Not for all the striped socks and Taurus Flavor sammiches in Chicago. >_>
guest
Fuck no.
guest
it looks like…bump-its
guest
haha no way, i think thats funny
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - nice!
guest
I have only ever seen one girl pull this off (and no, its not Snooki – whoever she is, pardon my ignorance), and she teased hers so it was FUCKING HUGE, and it was a part of her overall, shockfactor appearance. Oh, yeah, she also looked like a model.
I could never carry this off, I have a square jawline which is the bane of my life, and I can’t help but get the feeling that even if my hair was long enough (recently had it hacked short for purposes of practicality), if I tried this haircut, my face might look like the shilouette of a kid’s crude drawing of a house!
guest
Oh, hell no. xD
I didn’t realize she was that short.
I really hate Jersey Shore.
And that “poof” shit looks… Alien. Ew.
guest
I like the style.
I wouldn’t use it, but it’s not ugly.
But I doubt I’ll ever have this style requested, seeing as how I live in Alaska. Then again, it could happen.
D
guest
ewww no snooki hairstyles please
guest
She’s probably hiding a bomb under there!
guest
that girl makes me puke in my mouth a little
guest
No way. Yeah this isn’t a new style, but it’s still one that I don’t like. I’ll stick with a normal-shaped head, thanks!
guest
Never in a million years…that’s horrendous.
daffodil / 1975 posts
No, thanks.
guest
the snooki? it’s just a hairstyle. get over it.
sunflower / 321 posts
When it’s done the right way on the right person, it can look very nice (I tried it on my best friend the other night) but, on her, it just looks plain ridiculous. It’s also not done very nicely on her, either. He hairstylist should definitely be fired. As for me, I’m 4’10″ and even if I wore that ouldn’t look taller. I’d look like a just had a giant alien head. I’d never do it. (And it’s also called a pomp, not “the snookie”)
guest
Noooooooo.
guest
no thanks
guest
hellsno.
guest
I had to wear a bump like that for showchoir. It helped our heads not appear flat while we were on stage. I hated it. But women everywhere long for that look; for example, the “bump it” which helps women with hair that won’t stand up achieve a look like this, is a hot item.
guest
She looks like Elvira.
guest
not if you paid me. eesh.
wait, maybe if you paid me…
guest
@AcrossTheRaspberryGalaxy@xanga - Agreed.
guest
nopee !
guest
No thanks. Looks tacky to me.
guest
well….
tulip / 22 posts
I LIKE TEASING MY HAIR but NOT NOT !!! LIKE HER
guest
Yeah, I think I’ll try that!
guest
This is not even a new trend.
guest
GAG. no. i can’t understand how some people find this attractive..
daisy / 742 posts
If Snooki wasn’t so fugly, maybe more women would give it a shot.
By the way, the Snooki is a hairstyle, not a haircut. All you have to do is section the top of your head, tease it like crazy and put a colossal amount of hairspray in it. It’s not an original design, so I have no fucking idea why this is named after her.
guest
Anyone with a bumpit or a hair rat generally looks like a descendant of the alien Sigourney Weaver once fought on film…sorry…
sunflower / 477 posts
just to set the record straight, this high up hair thing is not the ‘snookie’. it’s a 60s thing, and some of us have been doing it for years. (and doing a better job at it)
guest
no?
guest
UM. NO. She looks like.. Morticia from the Addams family
guest
LMFAO,
Americans are really tackyyou should all live in upperclass london :’)
guest
i dont understand?
i tease my hair every single day & not one person has ever compaied to it snooki?
guest
I’ve done it in the past, of course mine way no that voluminous.
I like it, kind of.
guest
There isn’t enough money in the world.
sunflower / 286 posts
I effin’ hate her hair! It looks like a freakin’ conehead! Just because it’s on a “star” on television does not mean it’s always going to look good, ladies…
guest
i love it. it’s cute. not for everyday, but for a night out. i loved jersey shore and snooki was soooo cute!
so, yes. i would def get the snooki.
guest
No.
guest
Yes I actually would. Even though I am 5’6 i still feel short so i would totally do it.
sunflower / 329 posts
Snooki will never be as big as Jennifer Aniston in FRIENDS.
