Well, I haven’t bought a pair of shoes with my own money yet. My money and my parents’ money kind of blend together. I spend their money, and any money I make, I give to them.

But I do remember the first guy I’ve kissed! Every time I kiss someone new, I force myself to remember the names of all the guys I’ve ever kissed so I don’t forget.

I don’t buy a whole lot of shoes, but I do buy a few every once in a while. It’s not a big deal to me. To think some girls remember shoes over boys… that’s absolutely insane!!

i don’t remember my first pair of shoes or the first boy i kissed but i do love shoes and when my bf makes me upset, shoes will always makes me happy.

Which kind of ladies were they surveying? Seriously…I can remember the name of the guy I first kissed AND the first pair of shoes I bought and, honestly, the kiss was better.

I’ve bought tons of shoes…? I didnt really think it was a huge thing. Who doesnt remember their fist kiss, I’d never forget mine.. or who it was for that matter. We’re still really good friends 7 years later.

I don’t remember my first pair of shoes I bought… but I remember the guy with me when I bought my most expensive pair.

I have no idea what the first pair of shoes I bought with my own money were.  I definitely remember my first kiss.  I’ve never regretted dumping a guy OR throwing out a pair of shoes.

I had to laugh aloud at this – shoes are fine… but they are never, ever, ever better than kissing… and for those of you who *would* rank shoes as better than smooching… I just have to wonder, if the guy should work on his technique, then!!!

My first kiss was with a tall drink of water named Cyrus Sipp. Google him- seriously.

I’d like to say the first pair of shoes I bought was a pair of boots I intended on using for a sailor moon cosplay outfit for Halloween? But it could have been an ugly pair of heels for my great grandmother’s funeral. I had never met her before and I was pissed my mom was forcing me to use my own money for nice shoes when I thought black chucks would be perfectly appropriate.

Wow. I can remember every guy I’ve ever kissed. As for shoes? I can’t even remember what brand is the pair of shoes I wear daily. And throwing out shoes, tsk tsk – I recycle or donate old shoes.

I also remember the first pair of shoes I ever bought with my own money very vividly. And I still have them. A pair of boots. I’m not sure that it was my best decision, but I was tipsy or I’d have never spent money on a pair of semi-slutty boots. My friend and I decided we should see what it was like to sneak alcohol into the movies because we were extremely lame. Then we decided to go shopping. We stood in line at JcPenny’s for those boots until I thought I was going to faint. I can’t even walk in them.

What the heck? I haven’t even kissed a guy and I don’t even remember the 1st pair of shoes I bought with my own money! I’d remember the guy more than the shoes.

Women who prefer a shoe over kissing have obviously never been kissed well.

I remember every guy I’ve ever kissed. Luke. Probably because I only kiss when I am in love with a guy, but still! I also remember my first pair of shoes. Striped Keds. And I am always sad to throw out a pair of shoes, I only do it when they’re worn beyond wear. Guys.. well it’s sad at first, but I get over it and realize it was for the best

haha i regret giving back these coach shoes, cuz i cant find anything like em, and i dont even like coach but i regret giving them back all the time because i liked the style, but rejecting or dumping guy nooo way.  and especially once you get older you understand how much the things you work for mean to you, and guys seem less and less relevant

Once I move on, I generally move on. But, that’s just me.

I never really bought into the idea that every woman would remember her first kiss. Heck, I even know women who don’t remember their first time having sex or who it was with. Not because their sluts, but just because time has passed and they really aren’t concerned with the past or past loves. :p

But, that doesn’t mean every woman would forget. Naturally, there are a lot of women who remember things like this. Just like there are a lot who don’t. :p

I’m not a shoe-lover. Pity me, but I just buy shoes when I’ve broken the last one, or when family members start complaining that I’ve been using the same pair over and over so they would drag me to the store and force me to buy the new ones . I just happen to not being a shopaholic. Does that mean I’m lack of ‘girly’ hormones? Hm I’m clueless

I don’t think that shoes are any better, but when you can’t have one, the other makes an excellent substitute in the meantime… But kissing an amazing guy in a great pair of shoes is priceless

For real, I vividly remember EVERYTHING when my husband and I shared our first kiss but I don’t even remember the color of my first pair of shoes. All I remember is that they were dirty LOL

Do not remember my 1st shoes that i bought myself, vividly remember 1st kiss. I would question who they surveyed- it does not sound like a good cross section of women.

I remember both completely. And it’s not that I like shoes better than men, it’s just, sometimes you in the mood for new shoes, and sometimes your in the mood for some spit swapping

As for me though, i have only kissed one guy, but who knows how many pairs of shoes i have had in my lifetime…. actually, aside from the ones i grew out of throughout the years, i have never really bought a pair of shoes with my own money yet, even though i’m 18. My parents insist on buying most of my material necessities like that, maybe because i have no income. :S
Shoes are no big deal to me really…

The second one I understand because shoes are obedient and they can’t hate inanimate objects that they toss out and maybe they’ll miss them!

But no one wants to remember an ex they dumped for a really good reason- because they no longer like him!

Maybe the first one is understandable too.

Buying your first pair of shoes with your hard earned money kinda makes a woman feel independent. I mean, they like the shoes, they’re willing to pay their own hard earned money for it, they get it.

But with kissing a guy, a woman will also need the guy’s consent, and a first kiss only happens once… wearing their first pair of hard bought shoes happens more than once. Chances are they’ll be a lot more familiar with the latter.

I couldn’t tell you the first pair of shoes I bought, or even if I’ve ever bought shoes with my own money (my mom loves shopping for me, even when I don’t go with her), but I can name every guy I’ve kissed (it’s a short list).  I have regretted throwing out a pair of shoes, and I have at least 1 pair I’ll probably never throw out, and I’ve never, in the long run, regretted ending a relationship.

If only I thought of shoes in a higher regard than boys.  Life would be simpler don’t you think?

the shoes were probably expensive, nice and took a lot of time to decide on. some women don’t go through as much thinking when they first kissed a guy? Note how this is a british study. what does this say about british women? and maybe the “study” was biased.

duh, most of the time you get what you receive when you buy new shoes, the problems only develop later with a guy (and thus the dumping).
