um, uggs only go with sweatpants. they’re slipper-like shoes that are ment for comfort… just like sweats. so it only makes logical sense that the two go together. it’s not for going out or anything. it’s for lounging, errends, exams…

I don’t wear them like that, but I could understand why people would.  We all know it’s known for its comfy-ness, therefore, what else is comfy sweat pants! I think people can definitely rock them with sweat pants as long as they know how.  I think what makes those pics extremely bad examples is that they’re wearing ice cream colors with their Uggs so they don’t match at all, and that’s how a lot of other girls wear them…

I love Uggs and my VS Pink sweatpants and I am fully aware it’s a fashion don’t but it’s comfortable and easy sometime and when I want to bum it for the day I don’t care who knows!

Ugg boots are just trashy. I believe they originated in Australia, where NOBODY wears them for things like jogging or clubbing. It’s more practical in nature rather than trashy.

i like ugg boots. i wear them just for chilling and sometimes for drama class, but they don’t fit my feet very well so they usually hurt my ankles if i walk for too long in them… but i don’t object to them with grey sweatpants. can’t really see them with different coloured ones

I can understand why people would wear those if they’re purely going for the comfort factor. But besides wearing a garbage bag, sweatpants and uggs are at the top of the “not hot” list.

It’s comfy, and it does actually look alright if the sweatpants are black. Admittedly bright green swetas with uggs is not a good look.

Honestly, if people don’t wear them with sweatpants, I don’t know what else they could wear them with. Obviously they are not super high-class boots so you wouldn’t want to be caught wearing yo’ expensive true religions or Rocks with them, and you can’t wear them with tights or booty-shorts, soo that really doesn’t leave much choice left.

I knew I had seen this post somewhere before… But if I owned uggs (which I don’t) I would definitely wear them with sweats… I think that’s how they’re SUPPOSED to be worn. (How else they can be justified, I don’t know.)

UGGlies look good with nothing.  If you live somewhere that gets cold enough for them, then fine otherwise I don’t think they look good with anything.  I would never EVER wear an UGGly unless my life or my son’s life depended on it.

Sweatpants should only be worn to the gym, skiing, and to bed.

And Uggs shouldn’t be worn period.

Uggs and sweatpants are ugly together. I have the one chick that comes into my class wearing sweatpants with uggs and she looks like a complete wreck waist down. She’s pretty, but she just looks horrible and cheap with that combination.

wow….a pet peeve really? maybe I wanna be comfortable when I’m studying? lighten up. Also not all of us live in California… where I live I have to wear boots for like 8 months of the year! I wear my uggs when I feel like it, with what I feel like. Mostly  over skinny jeans, or under boot cut jeans, or over sweats. I don’t wear them to church or when I’m doing something important — when I’m going to class, out and about, errands, etc, yes. They work.

Does it matter? They’re just boots. I wonder why they offend so many people. They’re comfortable. They’re warm.

There are plenty of really ugly shoes out there, and yet I wonder why so many people hate uggs. I feel like its a stereotypical thing, perhaps.

I think these charming young ladies are smart to wear such warm boots in the winter. They are using their brains.

I have Uggs, I don’t wear them with sweatpants though, a lot of college girls wear them on campus because Uggs are comfy and so are sweatpants and since everyone wants to be comfy they put 2 and 2 together. If its comfortable… these girls aren’t going to stop wearing it just because you made this blog and everyone is giving their opinions… lol The Ugg trend is going to go on for a long time…. :/

EVERY girl on my campus wears this, it seems like. It’s so crazy. I will not wear sweatpants to class, ever. I just can’t do that…I feel like it’s so not classy.

Its not Hot,.. but I don’t see anything wrong with it.  It just seems functional.  I personally don’t wear uggs,. but I rather see that than some idiot parade around in a mini skirt or shorts paired with uggs

yea i personally think uggs shouldn’t be worn with skinny jeans either tho. its such a clash of style. sure theyre fine and all (minus my intense dislike of uggs and the like) for just lounging and stuff, but not as a fashion item, like you said, with jeans and a nice jacket. if you wanna dress nicer and wear skinny jeans with boots, get nicer boots like knee high black suede flatts or cowboy styled ones… not bulky fuzzy things that look like slippers… because they really are… 

I don’t have uggs. I have a pair of boots I bought from Kohl’s and I think it looks just fine. I wear skinny jeans with them though. I don’t think wearing sweats with them would look bad though.

Well, I’ve never been a fan of uggs, just cuz they look like furry, clunky boots. When they’re worn with baggy sweatpants it just looks even more unattractive.

Btw, they go well with skinny jeans AND a denim jacket? Just so you know, some people frown upon the full denim suit.

Alot of girls are saying it is because it is comfy. Which is quite strange, because I find it quite comfortable to wear jeans and sneakers. But then again MY personal need for comfort isn’t so high that I must wear this god-awful combo of fugg boots and sweat pants.

yes i wear sweat pants with my faux uggs. if i had to abide by all the fashion laws of wearing uggs, like the ones you posted above, then they would just sit in my closet because i don’t have skinny jeans (can’t pull ‘em off and i hate them) and i don’t have a denim jacket…which is just wrong anyway. have you ever thought that maybe it gets cold out in winter and people want to be warm? so hence the sweat pants and the ugg boots. i do have to admit tho that the pictures above are a bit much. at least my sweat pants are light gray, not bright green or yellow mismatched with pink.

NO! The answer is ALWAYS no. Uggs (short for the appropriate word ‘Ugg-ly’ (clever right?)) are an abomination to the fashion world. Crocs are in a close second, however, it has been proven that they can be pulled off with scrubs. But seriously, c’mon, the majority rules let’s discuss something else.

I wear it with both skinny jeans and sweatpants, most of the time sweatpants are comfier to wear.

I wouldn’t consider it “hot,” and i personally am not a big fan of uggs, but they’re made for comfort.. and sweat pants are comfy. put two together, you just get complete comfort. So why not?? Everyone has their own fashion taste.  I think that if it’s worn with sweatpants, it should look neat, and not all over the place, like some untucked-sweat pants in/out the boots or whatever.

I don’t think Uggs look good with any kind of pants.

this combo is disgusting!  No one in Australia wears them out either, and sweatpants look trashy on top of it.  This is fine for laying around your house or taking a trip to your grandparents house…  but not for going out in….

they’re warm, they’re comfortable, and they’re easy to put on.
crocs, on the other hand, are just not okay.

I used to be one of the many people that made fun of uggs (and their cheap cousins) but now I own a pair of their cheap cousins. I love them, they keep me warm and are really comfortable. I do not wear them with sweatpants unless I am running errands in my small small neighborhood. What you should be writing about it people wearing leggings, a North Face, and uggs. That is trashy.

I wear Uggs like eight months out of the year. But that is becaue I live in Wisconsin and it is freezing, and I have really poor circulation. I can’t afford to get frostbite any more than I already have. I don’t really like the way they look, but thus far Uggs+hand warmers inside of them is the only way to keep my toes from snapping off ha. 

It looks like these girls are on the way to class, an early morning class I bet. Their hair isn’t done so I’m sure they just rolled out of bed. If they’re comfortable and their personality is able to rock this with confidence, I say who GIVES A FUCK!

I say not to Uggs altogether, but especially with sweats. And I think those pics must have been taken on my campus, because that is what the majority of the girls on my campus wear.

its funny, because i hate it too, but on days when i literally only have 5 minutes to get ready in the morning, i somehow end up in it lol. what I do not tolerate is that gross fleace they all have these days. ew.

Will I still be judged/hated if I wear them with the full awareness that I don’t look stylish… Just that it’s so comfy and warm… and some days… life isn’t worth getting dressed…

I don’t wear sweat pants in public unless it’s at PT in the winter.  Also I don’t own Uggs because I can’t see paying two weeks worth of groceries for a pair of shoes.

only when im at home or coming from swim practice or the gym because its warm and comfy. otherwise, it makes me feel grubby and gross so i try not to go out in them

It’s not attractive, but comfortable. I’m definitely guilty for that.

And during stressful times, some people plainly don’t care if they look good or not.It’s all about being comfortable and feeling confident in your own skin.I can look good when I want to. I don’t have to look good everyday.

I think that uggs or boots like uggs look really cute with sweat pants! To go shopping or school or out for a quick bite. Of coarse u dont want to wear this to a dance, lol but i think it looks super cute!! It does not look trashy at all. Its comfy and cute.

You dont always dress to impress, you just gotta be yourself and go with what is comfortable!! who cares what people think!
