OMG THAT’S SO COOL.
Oh, I know. Leg/arm warmers.
Just take any old (preferably tight) sweaters that you think are out of style and/or too small for you and cut off the sleeves. They’re pretty cool once you trim out the excess

love the first one the most. so gonna make it =)

honestly, i think the idea of eco friendly jewlery is great but i’m not neccessarily sure i would wear any of them. the only one i think i would consider wearing would be the pop top bracelet. but i’m still sort of unsure about it. i’m more of just a basic kind of person when it comes to jewlery. this kind of reminds me of what they would offer in any claires department store that teenagers and children ranging from middle school to high school would be wearing. but all of the items shown are cute nonetheless. sadly, i don’t have any “going green” craft ideas but i’m interested in seeing what others have to say that do have some. =)

those are cute! now the tricky part is making them not sharp, haha.

Out of all of them, I must say my favorite was the bracelet made out of the Arizone Green Tea can.
Do they make little punches to make the cut outs?
guest
i loooove the first one. i’m gonna make it. (:

those are pretty cool, but how is it eco friendly? aren’t those soda cans that could be recycled? and the plastic from the starbucks card that is still… plastic?

I made a belt once out of pop tabs and a piece of ribbon. A lot of people thought it was really cool…unfortunately it’s not my style anymore, so I gave it to my little sister.

those are cute. I would have never thought of those ideas. I might have to incoporate some of those ideas into my own jewelry making.

@raspberryjade@xanga - there are three R’s in eco-friendliness; reuse, reduce and recycle. this is, obviously, reusing/reducing.
@cornyonacob@xanga - go jersey, haha

I especially love the first one.

great finds! and great way to reuse what you already have.
you might also think about giving the pop tabs to charity. at my old school, we’d collect them as part of an organization…. cant remember what it was called.
guest
They are really cute. :]
guest
super cute! I really like the starbucks earrings and charm bracelets. I may try this as my next project.
guest
omg so niceeee! can we DIY those stuff?
guest
owhh we can…. i missed the explanation part.. :p

These are cute. I love the charm bracelts. But supposedly, we aren’t supposed to wear anything with pop tops because it is against the dress code. Supposedly. There’s a better chance of someone being stabbed with a pencil than with a pop top.
guest
quite good looking. but how am i going to stop myself from getting cut?

I want to learn how to make a heart shaped Starbucks card necklace, like the Mountain Dew one. haha that’s pretty neat.

These are lovely!
Another upcoming designer called Nicola Grant does amazing accessories out of recycled materials. She used to go to my last school and is now working in her own studio in London. She’s got several shops around the world. Check out her site.. http://www.ni-co.co.uk
Enjoy

Those all all awesome! I love the starbucks and mountain dew ones!

@B1ANCACACA@xanga - I actually made a nice (kind of) arm warmer, though the cut isn’t straight and the hole that the thumb is supposed to go through is too big.
I’m a horrible seamstress (is there a guy version of that word?) and probably shouldn’t do anymore DIY crafts. LOL.
guest
i think its kinda cool in a way

oh my god,
