@michelle_x_love@xanga - well said!
and I find her too buxom

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. :] I like healthy-spo, which is pretty much like thin-spo except they’re more than skin and bones. s:

Woooo she is hottttttt.

her boobs are way too huge to be many people’s idea of real-spo.

I don’t have any body inspiration. But I wouldnt want to look like that. Her boobs are too big.

yea…not everyone REALly has big boobs and nice curves like that….

Monica Bellucci…is my LIFE model ^_^

@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - @frozencherries@xanga - I have big boobs which is why she is my idea of ‘real-spo’. That’s the whole point, asking people who their role models are. They edited this massively, so I don’t care.

@live_for_love@xanga - yes! ;)

@Starry_Liz@xanga - I was so hoping somebody would catch that reference. <3

@Manstration@xanga - That makes sense.

@live_for_love@xanga - lol, have you seen the episode where she comes back as Monty’s wife? lmao, it ends with Mal naked. XDD
guest
I love how people say that having big boobs is somehow making a woman less “real.”
I’d much rather have curves. I’ve got the skinny type of curves (thin but still busty/ voluptuous) but she’s an amazing looking woman. People are so butt hurt when the inspiration isn’t skin and bones.

@Starry_Liz@xanga - Haha yes, I’ve seen the whole season like, four times. xD

She is great real-spo!
I think Lindsay Lohan has a great figure when she was in Mean Girls. She wasn’t skinny like the other girls, but had a real body. Busty, a bit of a tummy, very much like my body.

@BunnyParfait@xanga - we werent saying we liked skin and bones. but just like skin and bones too big of a chest is abnormal and not fun to carry
guest
damnnnnnnn, nice body..i want kim kardashian’s!
guest
I’m confused as to why she is your role model.. curves are natural and hereditary for women, and you’re aspiring to them? She should only be your role model if you’re trying to gain curves (or get plastic surgery).
guest
that is definitely not the look i’d want.
how the fuck does she carry all the upper body weight…
guest
She is lookin’ gooooood. =]

@Manstration@xanga - in Lovelyish defense, the only thing we did was add, “not thinspo, but–” to your title, and edit out one colorful phrase
your post was terrific as is!

i love how the point of this post is to inspire people to think about beauty in a different way than society tells us to, to challenge the beauty myth, and the first thing a ton of people start doing is attacking these pictures… yes her boobs are big. THATS THE POINT.
girls everywhere are always complaining how they can’t live up to the size double zero beauty standard. well we have to let OURSELVES out of it before anyone else will…

she can flaunt it!

My “real-spo” is myself. I’m happy with the way I am and you have no right to say I’m not a “real woman” because I happen to have a naturally slim body frame.

@immaairheadxl@xanga - Kim Kardashian is DEFF. mine too, she is slammin!

i think she looks great, yet i wouldn’t feel comfortable personally being so top-heavy and large. i always like the way curvy women look, yet i don’t like my own curvaceousness. it’s weird.
guest
Tyra Banks is my body role model. “Kiss my big fat ass!” That was just awesome. She showed that just because a person isn’t twig thin, doesn’t mean they’re fat, and that we can be beautiful without obsessing over weight. (:
guest
Women are all beautiful nonetheless
guest
Oh my Lord I must shake the hand of whoever’s dating her. What symmetrical digits…

@StephanieDFung@mancouch - I lovvvved Lindsay circa 2002-2004, back when she was so fresh and natural looking (and didn’t appear to be pumped full of plastic and drugs). Old Lindsay was like, the most gorgeous girl ever and had an AMAZING body!
So yeah. That would be my ideal. That’s pretty much what my body looks like–thin, but busty and not too skinny.

@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - I don’t think you know the definition of abnormal, please don’t use it in a sentence again until you look it up. It’s not abnormal to have large breasts. Especially for a woman her size.

If I could magically change my body from the akward thiness to perfect curves, then I would. Immediately. However, I know I can’t. The process in between takes forever and it is difficult getting there because all the time it takes make you want to change your mind that much more. So, I’ll stick to my skinny frame thanks *shurgs* Just a personal preferance. The women is the pictures look beautiful for them, I just can’t see myself life that.
guest
@BunnyParfait@xanga - abnormal is deviating from the norm… and people don’t usually have breasts that big.
guest
Damn. She has an amazing body. But sadly, if you are not born with that type of body the only way you can get it is surgery.
guest
wooow her body is so nice
guest
I like anyone who is fit and healthy, but also more medium to small framed (like myself). By the way, why does real-spo have to be bigger or curvier women? Some women are born naturally petite and they aren’t any less ‘real’ than the rest of us. Some women can pull of the buxom look because of their fat disposition others can’t, so I just go for women or girls who are fit and on the thinner/leaner side.
guest
I don’t necessarily have one, but I always liked looking at images of Christina Hendricks. I had fun drawing her, and I usually don’t like to draw celebrities. She has quite a dramatic look, that my conte crayon moves in curvy squiggles rather than having any angular lines. Very feminine indeed.
guest
That lady has what my grandpa would call “woman hips.”
guest
Amanda Bynes would be my body role model. She has killer legs.
daisy / 558 posts
All women are real women. With real bodies.
guest
she is wearing a waist cincher to dramatize her hips and make her waist appear smaller for that fake hourglass impression in all the pics except for the first pic with the blue/purpley colored slightly loose fitting dress where you can’t really see the big hips anymore.
guest
mine is lily cole~
guest
there are woman in this world that have naturally big boobs like Christina Hendricks … So i dont see how this doesn fit being called ‘real-spo’. Its like saying people with bigger boobs arent real, hello? People have different shapes and just because not everyone has this paticular shape doesnt make it any less real. I dont have big boobs and i’m not curvy like her but i can still appreciate it.
Good post.

@BunnyParfait@xanga - Various surveys indicate B – C is about average.
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - Source? Because in America that seems to be quite inaccurate considering it’s the fattest nation. Naturally fatter people would have bigger boobs.
magnolia / 1369 posts
she’s really gorgeous &+ i think that her body is beautiful. i love tyra’s body …
guest
@kaos_calle@xanga - It’s obviously not thin spo…moron.
@the_forgottenangel@xanga - I’m guessing the “real” part of it implies that she represents what the average woman* looks like and not what society pressures them to strive to look like. If she had fake parts or was completely bony that’s not very realistic at all now is it?
magnolia / 1369 posts
@kaos_calle@xanga - it’s not supposed to be thin-spo. she said “real – spo”
cherry blossom / 36 posts
I think she’s gorgeous, but I don’t aspire to look like that. I’m 5’1 and 100lbs, and I eat more than my husband sometimes. God made me petite and tiny, and I like it that way. I sometimes say I wish I had more curves, But curves on someone with such a little frame like mine, would look ridiculous.

@BunnyParfait@xanga - ”Though the average
bra size has increased from 34B to 36C in the past 12 years,
according to the NPD Group”
NPD Group is one apparently.

@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - This link is irrelevant; it talks about the consistency of women wearing incorrect bra sizes and their general lack of knowledge of how to measure themselves. And even so, there is no B – C range depicted. The line you took from it described as only one measurement being an “average” and not a range as you keep trying to imply. Also this source was created in 2004.
Do you have an USEFUL reliable sources? Or rather can you stop pretending like you know what you’re talking about because you obviously don’t.
guest
@BunnyParfait@xanga - The article is irrelevant. I was just writing down the train of information. Yes, they use one measurement for the average because it is an average.
I used B-C because different surveys vary depending on time. The older surveys were B, the newer ones are C.
The real source was NPD. The extra was superfluous information.
Check out the NPD’s survey.
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - 1. Averages have ranges. 2. IT WAS MADE IN 2004. IT IS THE YEAR 2009. THEREFORE IT IS NOT RELEVANT.
The reason why the older surveys say B and the slightly more recent ones say C is because Americans are getting FATTER. 2004 it was a high C. 5 years later do you really think the average is going to be in the B-C range?
Common sense people.
guest
@BunnyParfait@xanga -
1. They don’t do average ranges. Generally state an average size.
2. A close survey to the time period is relevant. 2004-2009 is not a huge discrepancy. Just because there have been no surveys done this very hour or very month doesn’t make past surveys irrelevant.
3. You are talking to one person.
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - 1. You obviously never took a Stat course.
2. 5 years is a big difference. No one is asking for a survey done this month I’m asking for a survey done this year or last year. Otherwise it is highly irrelevant. It’s not my fault you’re completely incompetent when it comes to doing research.
3. Correction *one moronic person.
guest
1. wrong
2. wrong – There is no reason it would be irrelevant. Anything over D would definitely still be abnormal. If there is a link to obesity the current trends wouldn’t show over a 6% increase in a 5 year time period.
Anything else you would like me to correct for you?

As if slim girls do not have a “real” body.
My ideal body type would be Adriana Lima in her early modeling days/ or Natasha Poly with a little bit more boobs. Most people would consider that to be too skinny, but hey It’s just my opinion.

I really don’t understand why the only “real women” have to be buxom and curvy or overweight. There ARE naturally thin, very slender women out there who are “normal”. Just because chicks w/ eating disorders are obsessed w/ these women doesn’t mean all skinny women are unnatural and not “normal”.

guest
@MichaelaM0d@xanga - I have boobs just slightly smaller than that and I have no problem carrying that “upper body weight”
Also, she looks beautiful. (:
guest
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - Wait, so are you saying being a ‘D’ size is abnormal? How is that not normal? I have size ‘D’ and they are real, plus, I am normal I’m 5’6 and 140-ish[I check BMI, it's normal weight] soooo, what? Or am I just getting the thought of what you said totally wrong?
guest
i think she has a beautiful body.
guest
@hannahlovesdoug@xanga - Don’t bother, she’s… an idiot.
guest
@hannahlovesdoug@xanga - My comment was to a poster who misunderstood why girls wouldn’t want those bodies. Those look like abnormally large breasts (Look way over D to me) and abnormally large breasts can cause problems. I definitely wouldn’t use it as inspiration. Who would want those back problems?
sunflower / 271 posts
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Thanks, I think I just get too technical when trying to pick someone real enough, so I don’t really have someone I would like too look like. The average woman weighs 140lbs, and is 5ft4 in America, im british so that may vary slightly, but this real-spo doesn’t look 5ft4 to me, and she looks like she may weigh more than 140lbs, im guessing here, im terrible with measurements. I get the mathmatic bit to calculate the average, so still the measurements don’t need to be spot on.
I just don’t get why people need a real-spo. Why don’t people just be their happy and healthy selves.?
guest
i think she looks great!
guest
@the_forgottenangel@xanga - Because no one is happy with themselves.
sunflower / 271 posts
@BunnyParfait@xanga - I guess so.
Even though most of those, I am sure are just bluffing. If people are really that unhappy they would be going in a more positive or negative direction from the original point of unhappiness.
guest
@the_forgottenangel@xanga - No, it’s really not a bluff. And it’s not against human nature to have a sense of defeat but still whine about it. It’s one of the more common reactions, actually.
peony / 1 posts
I don’t quite understand all the argument about who is spo or not and whether her boobs are too big or not – surely the point of this post was really just ”here look, this woman is beautiful and sexy and stylish and she is nothing like a size zero”. Basically you don’t have to think that ONLY thin is beautiful. We are constantly pushed aspirational images of woman who are extremely slim (and no diss on them, I’m not saying slim isn’t beautiful, just that it isn’t the ONLY kind of beauty) when that is not an achievable kind of beauty for 90% of women. I mean, I’m tallish and slimish (5ft 8in and 126lbs) but curvy with it. I could lose 30lbs (and be hugely underweight) and still not look all taut and sleek like the models I admire – you know? So it would be much healthier if I could accept (say) Beyonce as being as beautiful and aspirational as (say) Carolina Kurkova.
guest
Damn.
I would NOT want to look like that, though.
guest
Lovely post (:
My body role model.. first to come to mind is Kate Winslet. She’s beautiful AND confident.
guest
Hendricks is hot. The focal point is always her eyes, because her face calls your attention immediately, and you don’t notice the >30-inch hips.
guest
I do triathlons. I would quit if I had those kind of boobies. I guess my ideal body would be like a tennis players- ripped arms and legs but not excessively so. I dont need bulging or anything, I just want to be thin, at a healthy weight, with definition. the end.
guest
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Lol you seem cool, can I add you as a friend?
