i used to love hottopic, now i hardly ever buy anything from that store anymore. 

abercrombie and hollister. they’re not godawful or anything, it’s just so generic. there’s no style to it.

hot topic too. i’m just not into the whole immature “i don’t give a fuck” thing it portrays anymore.

Old Navy. I used to LIVE in that store, then a few years ago, they changed the jeans & I hated it. The style was horrible, the denim was scratchy & the sizes were so off.

i used to shop at forever 21 during junior high/freshman year and at AE and express the rest of high school. i don’t go to those stores now. i still stop by pacsun occasionally for the swimsuits.

I used to love Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister. I never go in those stores anymore. They have jeans that fit me really well and jackets for winter that are cute. Other than that, I really don’t go in there.

Before, Hot Topic was my dream store. Now I look at some of their stuff and am like, “wtf ? why ?” ahaha

I used to avoid American Eagle and Hollister like it was the black plague, but now I actually like it ! I’m not preppy or anything, I just like some of their clothes. I only like a select few of Hollister’s clothing that don’t scream it’s name so blatantly. They’re hoodies are SO warm though. 

i just started buying from forever 21 again. i think i went a good 5-6 years without shopping or entering the store. they had cheap/bad quality clothes for a while. then the fashion (about two years ago) wasn’t my type. thank goodness for the fashion this season.

hollister, abercrombie, old navy!, aeropostale…all have cheap quality clothing with a price tag of mostly $40 or up in money.  all i cared for was the label.

Limited Too (now called Justice)…couldn’t fit in their clothes after 6th grade :/…Then worked there, it was my first job! :]

I used to think Hot Topic was really awesome during my punk phase. That didn’t last too long, thank God.

I used to shop at A&F and Hollister, just because it was the trendy thing to do during high school.

I think that’s it. OH! And Old Navy. It seems like their prices went up while their quality went down. And Their sizes always run huge, which is annoying. Nothing fits right.

Pretty much all those places.  I do go to Pac Sun and American Eagle for jeans but that’s only once every 2 years or so haha.  I don’t buy jeans very often.

I used to go to old navy now i cant stand it there.Wet seal their clothes did get cheaper yet i still shop there rarely for club clothes.Aeropostale- i had my first job here and their clothes just got to young for me.

i used to shop aeropostale all the time. i think i own one thing there now.

i used to love H&M but their stuff got a lil too odd for me. you have to buy like 4 pieces to have any of it work as an outfit. not very mix and matchy for me.

pac sun i used to love, but now that my parents don’t buy my clothes i avoid the store haha

I go to claires sometimes but nowhere near as often as before. I like the earrings I can find there.

I try to avoid Walmart when possible for clothes/fashion, and I don’t think Hot topic is nearly as wonderful as I once did.

I haven’t stepped foot into abercrombie anymore. I still go into hollister because i like their jeans and their sweaters are comfortable. that’s it. I dont even have a favorite store anymoree. I just go find whatever i think is cute

I used to shop at JcPenny’s and Old Navy alot but now I don’t at all.

Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle are my two biggies.  They used to carry (a long, long time ago, which is probably dating me) really nice clothes – quite a few ‘classics’ that weren’t too over-priced and actually felt as if they’d hold up for a while.

In addition to just me getting older (at some point, you have to come to the realization that you can not shop in the same store as the kids you used to babysit & still be taken seriously), it seems as if both stores greatly increased their prices while simultaneously decreasing the quality.  I don’t want to pay $50 for a paper-thin t-shirt that I will inevitably have to buy 3 of and layer just to make sure nothing is exposed.  Plus, I’m not into shopping at places where the music is deafening & I can’t carry on a normal conversation with another human, whether it’s the person(s) I’m shopping with or the sales associate trying to help me.

American Eagle, I don’t even step foot in anymore. Claire’s is pricey but to be honest, their eyeshadow palettes are pretty good! I used one for my birthday and the colors were really pretty! Other than that I never go into these stores anymore.

Fashion has come a long way…even now with popular brands like Forever 21 that seems like people aren’t as fond of because it is generic. I used to think that vintage shops and second hand stores were so low class but now it’s gaining that much deserved attention! We also take advantage of those boutiques we’ve never even heard of in our own cities or towns.

i also used to shop at all those younger stores, like limited too and whatnot haha. obviously don’t go in there anymore haha i wouldn’t even fit those clothes anymore.

I hardly shop almost anywhere now. I have enough clothes that can’t be as outdated for another 20 years or so, now I’m just looking forward to make my own clothes. I’ll be visiting the frabic + craft store from now on. 

the places you mentioned are the places that i used to go in but not anymore.  it’s too high school for me.  now i got to shops that are more grown up and have more clothes for work.

I still buy things at express from time to time…especially the jeans since they actually fit me right.
I used to buy a lot from Hot Topic and Pac Sun in high school. I don’t think I’ve found anything there since.
Also, Forever 21 and Wet Seal. It’s just too cheaply made. American eagle occasionally is nice for basic camis and sweaters but that’s pretty much it.

@frozencherries@xanga - You are completely right about Old Navy. What is with their sizes? The extra small is often too big on me. Either that or the fit is just completely off. 

I’m actually starting to shop at wet seal & forever 21 now.  I only buy a few pieces in all the months I’ve been shopping there.  It takes quite a bit to make me wanna shell out the money.  Their tops are cute, victorian era-ish and they look good out clubbing or under a blazer for work!

I only go into Pac Sun for accessories and bikinis. I avoid Claire’s, Wet Seal, Anchor Blue, DEB, and that’s about it. I’m 24 so I feel some places are still okay to go into without being judged as trying to stay a teenager haha

Oh~ I’ve never went to a specific store before. So far I’m going to Aeropastale and if that fades, I’ll probably think and know why later. S: SO for now, I’m waiting for a time when I can become bored of those kinds of fashions where I can or no longer pull it off.

I LOVE Express but only started going there in college. I used to get a lot of random clothes from Macy’s (on sale!) but moving into f21 and express… looks like i’m behind!

not sure if this fits the criteria, but i used to get 95% of my clothes from Mervyn’s.. but now it’s closed down.

Claire’s - I used to really be into jewelry and would often pick out clothes that matched the jewelry I’d chosen to wear that day.  Now all I wear is a watch and my breast cancer bracelet.  Occasionally I wear earrings.

Fashion Bug – The clothes weren’t too expensive, but fell apart after just a few wash & wears.  Then they started to go out of business in our area.  I even had a gold charge card thru them…

Can guys comment on this too, or is this only for chicks?  Guess im the only guy here  lol oh well…All i gotta say is, Abercrombie is nothin but over-priced crap, like someone else said earlier “there is no style” i totally agree. Same goes for Hollister, i think kids only shop there to be trendy, you’re paying high prices just for a name, seems kinda stupid to me.  Another thing bout Abercrombie, i just read in the paper that they’re bein sued by a 17yr old muslim girl, after she was denied employment cuz she wore a headscarf or burka, im not sure if thats right but anyway, The person doin the hiring said to her “your burka violates our stores “Look Policy” therefore we cannot hire you”. I hope she wins, an Abercrombie has to pay out their ass! An this isnt the first time Abercrombie has been taken to court by the EEOC, Equal Employment Op. Commission. over discrimination.

Old Navy… I went there for pretty much every article of clothing I owned. But the store’s clothes have become really bad quality, ugly, and the sizes are all off. They don’t fit very well either.

The only store i shop at now is abercrombie (because no where else has jeans that I can fit into perfectly) F21 and Target.

Hot Topic was the biz in junior high. I shopped at this one shitty store, Classic, whenever I needed something specific but have since realized it is in fact shitty.

Hot Topic sucks now because it’s all about the latest trends and not about actually being yourself. I know, it’s hard to believe that HT isn’t unique nowadays. :O

Besides, mommy isn’t footing the clothing bill anymore.

As for PacSun, they have killer deals. Jeans for 5$

Express and Hot Topic… I still go inside these stores every once in a while but I don’t EXCLUSIVELY shop there, and rarely do I find what I want at these places. It used to Express had jeans that fit me perfectly… IDK what happened there because their jeans don’t fit me at all anymore…..

I’m suprised I haven’t seen anyone mention The Buckle! That was huge when I was younger and I used to shop there and Vanity. You will not see me step foot in either stores anymore.

I never shop at Hollister or Abercrombie anymore. Maybe for jeans…? Wet Seal actually isn’t too bad now, they have changed their style a lot. I never go to PacSun either. I try to shop at H&M or Urban Outfitters.

Hot Topic – Freshman year of college I had an identity crisis. Studded belts, skull belt buckles… spiky hair. I was confused. I laugh at those photos now.

Active Board Shop – I thought I was a skater and bought all my clothing/gear there.

Abercrombie – I have to admit, I bought one leather belt there.

Glad I got all of that out of my system.

Claires because I’m allergic to pretty much any jewelery they stock. Wet Seal because they cater to fourteen year old drag queens. Walmart. Victoria’s Secret, thanks to Jess helping me find my real size. I still like PacSun, but their guys shirts are more appealing to me now.

Old Navy and Aeropostale. ON’s curvy sizing is no good for my boyish figure (though I still buy layering pieces -tanks and long-sleeved shirts- from the) and Aero is that preppy mold that I fell out of.

I used to LOVE pac sun, claire’s, and hot topic. i still shop at hot topic occasionally, because i like their paramore shirts and a few other things, but they just seem to be trying too hard.

it’s called growing up..we all do it people…lol!

after i stopped working at hollister, i couldn’t bring myself to walk in there anymore.. no matter how cute the clothes look.. haha

I agree with you. The rough thing is that somehow, teenybopper stores Express and American Eagle have the only jeans that fit my athletic thighs and ass with minimal gapping in back! not even Banana republic can solve that! I can’t always spring for 7′s
