I went to Dollar Tree the other day and I noticed a display full of colorful boxes and the bright blue & bubblegum pink box above caught my eye! Could it be? Nah. I looked closer and it was!
Britney Spears Curious? In Dollar Tree?! I had a few 1 dollar bills in pocket. Is it worth it?
I lifted the bottle out of the box (while Mrs. Cashier Lady wasn’t looking) and sprayed it on my wrist. OH GROSS. It smelled WEIRD.
Alcohol.
Ugh. Feeling defeated I slipped it back in the box. After looking at the assortment of candy with Josh I sniffed my wrist again… OMG it smelled good! The alcohol wore off and it really did smell like Curious! And so so so much cheaper ( only a dollar…)! I ran back and grabbed a box and I saw Glow by J.Lo.
I tried it on the other wrist, almost exact as the original! What a find! I didn’t hesitate buying them. I love the boxes, how they tried to actually replicate the original’s “look”. I mean look at that Wannabe Britney! LOL The bottles are huge 75 ml of perfum! The box says parfum but the bottle says toilette?
Whatever, for a dollar I don’t care! The bottles are clear, the liquid is colored appropriatly. (Curious being blue, Glow being a goldish color.) I searched and searched but I could not even find a website for this generic “Jean Philippe Paris” guy/company. They probably aren’t even in Paris.
Have you ever worn perfume knockoffs? Are they worth it or would you rather splurge on the real deal?

I used to wear knock offs when I was a kid. I personally hate them now because my Aunt wore them A LOT and I just associate the smells with horrible memories. Plus after Christmas those perfumes are all really cheap anyway.

I used to.. but now I prefer the real thing.. it last longer for me ^^

If I don’t have the cash for the real thing the dollar tree knock off is good.
I normally just go to target and get the real thing cheaper than it would be at the department stores.
You can get a bottle of perfume, lotion, a shimmer stick and body wash for that Britney one at Target for about $30 dollars.
I wear Juicy Couture that I get from target for about $30 bucks and it lasts me for a year.
You can also get the real thing at Ross Dress For Less for around $16.99.

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but yes, I do/have! However, that’s due mostly to circumstance since I currently have no means of transportation and don’t live near a place where I can purchase good fragrances (I don’t want to order new fragrances online, since how will I know if I like them or not?).

If the knock-off is passable, why not?! I’m a fan of any perfume that smells good, regardless of price.

real thing

I don’t wear perfume a lot, so I don’t really spend the time looking into them, whether they’re the real thing or knock offs. I own Princess by Vera Wang, though. (the original, not Rock Princess…but Rock Princess is amazing)

always get the real deal ~! usually the perfume store sell it for less to begin with & one bottle last me forever

Huge fan of knock offs….I’m not a big perfume gal, so when I smell something I like, I usually get it. Most of the time I can find something that is suiting to what I want at the dollar store or Big Lots, etc.

I went to Thailand recently, and my bf bought versace perfume for only $20! Turns out it was a knock off. The fakes smell NOTHING like the real thing. In fact, it smells cheap and alcohol-y.

im a huge brand snob. i hate perfume knock offs as much as every other kind of knock offs out there.
i’d rather go without than go through the embarrassment of a knock off.

I get the real deal.

I’ve never worn a knock off. I always assumed that it’d be bad for your skin or something.
I don’t even wear perfume, actually.

That’s kinda cool if you’re on a budget. The weird initial smell is suspicious though. I don’t wear perfume anyway so it doesn’t apply to me.

I change what scent I like to wear all the time, so the knockoffs are great rather than spending money on something I’m not going to wear after 2 or 3 months.

I get the real thing.

I use them to cover up sticky poos in my dorm.
I’d never wear them on my body, I deserve better
.

Real deal for me cos I only wear the same one or two anyway.

I wouldn’t wear purfume from the dollar tree no matter how good it smells. Even though I love the dollar tree, you have to be cautious because they use very cheap products.

I collect perfume, and I would never get a knock off.

i’d rather buy the real thing.

i never knew knock offs existed for perfume. no joke lol

I’d much rather splurge. I’m only a snob about the following: shoes, perfume, hoodies, and leather jackets.

I’ve never bought perfume knockoffs, but I buy knockoff purses and wallets, sometimes even knockoff tiffany’s jewelry lol

well i think basicalli everyone would prefere the real thing…and altho i don’t wear knock off perfume (gotta admit never even heard of it before) I wouldn’t want to pay 80$ to smell good! so i don’t usually use perfume (except for the ones my aunt gave me from her job) but OMG Daisy by Marc Jacobs is amazing!

If you knew the smell of the real thing you would never get a knock-off. I only buy the real thing of anything from bags to perfume. I hate knock offs!

haha…lol… When it comes to shoes, perfume and make up I rather not to purchase fake stuff. No matter how good they are..

No knockoff perfume for me : ) I find that I rarely use it anyways.
