The best way to see how women actually dressed “back in the day” is to view old pictures and photographs. While it’s nice to see the glamorous fashion models in magazines and advertisements and the glittery celebrities in the movies… it’s also great to see how those high end vintage fashions translated for the every day woman. I love it – skirts with a band at the actual waist, and from just below the knee to mid-calf length, are one of my favorite and most flattering styles. I like 50s bright colors better, though.

I love the second. The 1960′s were tasteful, yet glamorous and sexy. They were proof that women can look attractive without bearing a lot of cleavage or skin. It’s so versatile and will never go out of style- like the 80′s. Shudder.

I like it but I abosolutely adore the 40′s fashion. The hair, makeup, clothes, the class the women had. I just adore it. I <3 40′s. :]

I do wish they have it more out in the market, but while I’m at it I just shop at vintage stores/ etsy to find such items. I’m definitely into either 60′s mod or dresses with full skirt. Wouldn’t mind wearing it everyday.
I like these pictures as photographs-to keep . I’m guessing the first one are selected pageant women on a windy trip?
