Because my hubby is a lot more than excessive body hair to me and I’m crazy in love with him, I find him to be extremely hot and sexy – yet I consider this picture to be pretty disgusting. Haha, I’m pretty sure he’d find a pic of a woman’s unshaved legs kinda gross, but he doesn’t think of me as gross even if I get lazy in that respect during the winter.

I personally think hairless guys are disgusting, so I have no problem with this picture.  It doesn’t gross me out at all; I think it’s perfectly normal.  However, not many people share the viewpoint, so I can’t imagine it’ll work well as an ad.

im not going to lie, for so long i thought body hair on a guy was sooo ugly and gross but as i got older and dated guys who had some ( not as much in that pic ) i started thinkin it was rather sexy . just as long as its in moderation.

in my opinion men should have some hair, it drives me crazy when my boyfriend shaves his off although i love him either way, a man should be hairy on some parts.

My first thought: This is a fake or a joke ad, right? Right? I’m not sure I’d believe you if you said it was real. Whether it is or isn’t, not every guy has a hairy beer belly. Most of them don’t have a six-pack, hairless chest and so on, either. Most are somewhere in the middle, between the sculpted “ideal” male body and a sort of this-gut-is-proof-I-can-hold-my-liquor male physique. Just saying. It’s conceptually the same for women. Most of us aren’t that “ideal” female stick figure, but most of us also aren’t as big as a house. In short: body sizes occur on a continuum, a bell curve with most people existing on that middle peak and a few extreme outliers on either side of the spectrum. Ok, everyone who’s like “ewww” is just proof of how brainwashed we all are by the media. Calvin Klein’s models are always gorgeous and flawless; they’re supposed to be so that the product will sell. It’s all little tricks in advertising because, oh heyyy, SEX SELLS. So take a minute to really think about what this is symbolizing: it’s saying that the models you see in ads everywhere are not real. Sure, they have pretty faces and a nice ass in their pictures, but look at them walking the street without make up on or the cellulite airbrushed out.
This ad spoof is showing that the “REALITY” of people is not a man with a six pack and glowing skin with a huge package. The truth of the matter is we’re all imperfect in some way in the REAL world.
