not really a fan…just seems like the wearer is trying a bit too hard. (im picturing the old school hip hop fans with the gigantic boom box on the shoulder…or the girls who wear the “i’m so hip hop” tees…seriously???) it is a cool idea but I think the only way this would work is with a very bland outfit (plain tee and jeans, for example) or if the wearer is obviously wearing it as a statement.

oops… didnt realize that the owner is a teacher…in that case, i like it. it would definitely catch the kids’ attention. i had a teacher in HS who always wore weird neck ties…at first we all made fun of it, but it was kind of endearing after a while. and the teacher definitely stood out. If anyone forgot Mr D’s name, they could always be reminded of him by mentioning the teacher with the snoopy or french fry ties.

not practical. where would you take it where it’s respectful for you to play your music out loud? on public transportation it’s against the rules (at least where i live), walking down the street it’s kind of rude if other people are around, and you could just use a real juke box if you’re at your house.

i think it’s kind of cute. different colors would be better.

I’ve seen girls in Japan carry these. I thought it was pretty interesting. Obviously you can’t just go around wearing any outfit with this bag, then it would be really tacky. I think some people can pull it off, though.

I had a teacher, Mr. B, who showed up in khakis, oxford shirt, tie, cropped hair…and hi-tops. He was quirky. He managed to get – and keep – our attention.

I’m looking at this boom box bag and thinking, as you are a teacher, it would get grins, it would be quirky, and it would be a good introductory piece to such things as broadcast history, music history, pop culture history – and it would be a fun way to put a good mix into regular classroom fare.

Heck, if I carried a purse, I’d probably choose it.
