i’m surprised that people are saying such high prices.  i hardly ever get haircuts cause i grow it out really long after every cut.  they’re usually about $14, i go to best cuts or great clips..typical chain places. i don’t really need a fancy salon for that.

Since I don’t have much money, I gone from getting my hair cut every 3-4 months to every 5-6 months. I usually pay $12-15. I used to have a specific hair dressor I’d go to, but that’s about 40-50 minutes now that I’m in college, so I just go to Master Cuts in the local mall now.

Wow…I was expecting way higher prices from everyone haha. I usually spend about $145 and I go twice a year, but that’s because I get my hair colored too.

My friend does highlights and haircut for $60.  I’m usually one of those people who likes to change my hair every so often, so I just go do that every half-year or so.  It depends.  I do cut my own bangs though!

$0 – I enrolled in this model u thing at Bumble and Bumble in Manhattan for their Curly Hair workshop.. the cuts are always great and flattering and obviously, the best part is its free (cuts by their stylists are above $100)!! I guess you could say I spend about $10-12 on transportation to get there =]  - It’s great, I highly suggest people who live around the area to check it out.

if i go to ulta, it’s about $50+ but if i go to this girl that i’ve been going to for a while, it’s a bit more, around $100+.  i pay a lot for haircuts, but i also get the cut i want not someone else’s style.

@RaabzBaby89@xanga - Hmm…after having 6 inches of my hair lopped off and an uneven cut at the cheaper places like SuperCuts, I opted to find a stylist I trust and go there each time.  Regardless of the price.  A bad style is killer on my confidence.  I’ve paid as much as $65 but now I’ve found a place for $45.  I no longer dread the salon visit because I love my haircut every time (2-3 months).

I recently decided to make this nice, not-ghetto-Asian place my new salon, so I pay $45 now. Helps that the guy is really cute. It’s a bit pricier for me, but I only get my hair cut twice a year so it’s ok.

I get mine done at the hairdresser school. They charge about six bucks a cut and about twenty for a color which is nice because my hair grows crazy fast.

Mine = less than $20. I don’t go very often. Yepp, I go to the same guy every time and a different girl does my bangs.

Wow I thought I’d be in the middle range considering I’m not usually a glam girl but apparently my $60 a year (tip included) is closer to the top! I’d go twice a year if I were rich.

My old hairdresser was $30 plus tip. I’ve recently changed (well, about a year ago, haha) my hairdresser because my old one was too expensive for me. My current one cuts my hair just as well for a much cheaper price – $12 plus tip. I get it cut about every 4-5 months.

depends on the haircut.  I usually get a regular cut which runs about fifteen bucks.  However I have fallen in love with highlights.  Highlights and a cut is about fifty.  I always request the same one.  It’s a lady that has cut my hair since I was a kid.

Usually around $25-$30 depending on how much she cuts off. If just a trim then she charges me $10. She always gives me a deal

The problem is once she retires I will probably get my haircut at a more expensive place for like $40. I don’t get it cut often though because I am trying to grow it out. I go to this small Vietnamese shop and pay only $10! + tip of course. I’ve been going to Asian salons my whole life. The lady who cuts my hair now just seems to know my hair looks at its best.

I go about once a year, just because I’m growing it out and there really isn’t need to more often (I’m gentle with my hair)

once in a while i’ll get a haircut at this nice place for like $55-60. but every couple of months in between i get a trim at a place nearby for only $12! and they do a really nice job.

I really don’t know what my cut is without a color and style, but with the coloring, I pay between $100 to $200+ (depending on which stylist I go to). I have a favorite, but since he is so expensive, I have been looking for someone cheaper (the $100 cut and color). The jury is still out on this one. I have to have a history with the stylist and I like to get a head massage, too. I also want/need the stylist to be gifted enough to know what versions of the styles make my face look younger. This stylist also needs to understand that my hair is straight, straight, straight and very fine…in fact, so fine that it has absolutely no body. It takes talent to take lifeless, clingy hair and cut it in a way that when daily humidity drags every bit of curl away it still looks like a good hair style. Those stylists have more than experience, they have a true gift. I am willing to pay for my hair to look natural and perfect in the face of imperfection.

I go to Hendrickson Hair Design.  It’s kind of upscale, but I won’t go anywhere else.  I’ve been butchered one too many times.

super cuts. I have long hair, and it only cost me $16 for shampoo, cut, and no blow dry. I love supercuts because they keep ur name in their system, and if u don’t like it and wanna come back the next day or so, they’ll fix it for free. =]

omg I know what you mean. Asian places are the worse. They never cut my hair the way I like it and when I tell them I want my hair really short, they keep telling me it’s TOO short. I go to an American place now. Its a bit pricier, but soo worth it.

I go see my hairstylist, Lindsey, one every couple of months. Depends on how fast my hair grows. And the price changes depending on what I have done. Usually its give or take $40 (including an eye brow wax).
