I have always been working on this and honestly will continue to work on it. I believe that the less you put on your face, the better it will be. Basically, I won’t put a lot of make-up on my face so I won’t include make-up products in the following list.
1. Undoubtedly, the first one should be washing our faces. I would recommend Garnier Gentle Clarifying Foam. Also, Garnier Pure Deep Pore Wash helps brighten the skin. It can be used everyday.
2. Regarding your hair, I recommend using Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner.
I’ve tried different brands of shampoo in the past, including Head and Shoulders, Pantene, Dove etc. None of the above gives a better result than Garnier Fructis. It gives you shiny hair and helps to strengthen your hair. The whole product line is amazing!
3. Girls should have a habit of using toner after washing their face. It helps to soothe your skin. I recommend using something without alcohol. Products that contain alcohol will have adverse effects on your skin. Your pores may look bigger from time to time. Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner is highly suggested!
4. It is a must for us to wear sunscreen. The reason is obvious. UVA and UVB are harmful to our skin. I have tried a lot of brands before. Some are too oily and some are not useful. Recently, I found a really useful sunscreen. It is from Shiseido. The name is Anessa Perfect UV sunscreen. This is the best sunscreen I’ve ever tried. It is never oily and it protects my skin from sunburn.
5. Most people are very confused when choosing eye cream because the skin close to our eyes is the weakest. The one that I use will probably help most people because it is not too rich, not oily, but it really helps to moisturize your skin and minimize fine lines and wrinkles.
The name of that eye cream is Eye Alert. It is from Kiehl’s. Don’t panic! I know it is for men, but this is the reason I choose it. The shop sales recommend it and the most important thing is that suits me.
What “flawless skin” tips do you have? Which of these did you find most helpful?

Drink loads of water and get plenty of sleep. Quite simply.

Biore’s “in between skin” line has a daytime moisturizer that is combined with a sunscreen. It’s pretty awesome.

hmm I have never had a problem with my skin… I usually take showers in the morning though but other than that I do nothing with it. but these are some good tips, nonetheless.

#4 is very, very important.

flawless skin …..

I think eating right should be added to this list. A lot of what we eat contributes to the condition of our skin

I always make #4 a must.

I think flawless skin is a myth, I work with some pretty stunning models but up close I have never met anyone with flawless skin. I have really great skin but I think it has a lot more to do with genetics than anything I do myself 1.) I do wash my face but only with plain water, sometimes I add jasmine or rose petals to the water the night before. If I get really dirty like working in the field or something I was my face with the same jasmine body wash I use on the rest of me 2.) I like garnier shampoos also 3.) I don’t put anything on my face after washing. 4.) I also don’t use sunscreen if I can help it. I opt for a hat instead. 5.) I don’t use eye cream either. – my skin tip is to eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids the skin and hair are formed from the inside out. A healthy lifestyle is the best gift you can give your skin.

I’m gonna add this whether people care or not, but from personal experience and scientific studies… 3-4 orgasms a week >.> really… orgasms/sex/masturbation/kissing all induce hormone activity that increases immune system activity and the release of certain skin oils to naturally attract the opposite sex. My 2 female cousins one 14 one 23 who live with me are both jealous of my body skin especially since I don’t have that fake creamy feel on it most moisturizers leave.

Exercise and drink lots of water. Sleep early and eat healthy foods, too!
And exfoliate the skin and use masks regularly.

Toner does nothing. It’s diluted chemical. Waste of money.

@Olyachka@xanga - Not true, toner restores your skin’s pH balance back to a 4.5-5.5, which can be altered when cleansing.

Don’t rub your face after washing/exfoliating it. It’ll only agitate your newly sensitive skin. Instead, gently pat it dry with a soft towel to get the water off.
When I’m in the shower and my face is wet, I rub my face gently with my hands and some dead skin comes off. I’m not sure, but I think this is a gentler way of exfoliating than using those scrubs that burn and dry out your skin like crazy. I don’t rub super hard, just a little bit.
I don’t use toner, but I use Cetaphil moisturizing cream after I wash my face. Does that have the same benefit?

wash ur face at night and put a little witch hazel ONLY on the acne spots… then put a lotion on ur whole face (i use cetaphil…reaally good)… sleep….in the morning wash ur face with COLD water and aply witch hazel to whole face…if u wear make-up that is…becauuse the witch hazel keep sur pores from being clogged. i use this routine and my skin is pretty clear…

@twiggy_bebe_1995@xanga - I don’t really understand the difference between a moisturizer and a toner. Don’t they do the same job? I always thought you used toner as a moisturizer if you use makeup but I don’t wear makeup.
guest
yea idk either… it hgought the same thing. I do wear make-up so I just put witch hazel (an astringent) on because it helps to keep make up out of your pores.

i like using masks twice a week. It helps me to maintain the moisture in my skin. also… don’t forget to always wear moisturizer under or before yopu wear makeup, if you do. I recommend Olay. =]

@Purple_Harlequin@xanga - Second that.

@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - If you use makeup, chances are your cleanser wont get rid of all of the makeup; there could still be some left in your pores, etc. so toner’s used to get rid of all the gunk. Also, it preps the skin for moisture. : )
I use masks and natural scrubs, but most of all sleep is the best way to have nice skin.

i have just started on skincare supplements to boost my skin radiance.
working inside and outside, hopefully they work for me.

@suuperstar@xanga - really you should remove your makeup before you cleanse, toners aren’t meant to get rid of leftover makeup, they are meant to restore pH balance

I’m 20 and I’ve probably had 10 zits in my entire life. My friends and family are always complimenting me on my complexion.
It’s mostly genetics, but I think the fact that I only use organic body wash, shampoo, face wash and moisturizer helps. No chemicals to get stuck in my pores, just all natural cleanliness.
Occasionally, during winter, my forehead gets really dry. I just put some vitamin E oil on before bed and by morning it’s good for the week.

@WUTtheHECTOR@xanga - nono i know, i use makeup remover too. but my experience with toner is that even on days i don’t use makeup, it just seems to smooth out the skin so that my moisturizer goes on better. i do believe that toner also picks up residue left on my face so that it feels cleaner and my skin is ready for moisturizer.
what you said about pH balance probably explains why my toner works that well. =)

Aloe vera is a nice mask, its the best remedy for acne too. Once in a while exfoliation helps, you could use honey on your skin too. Makes your skin baby soft …i am often complimented for my glowy skin

not touching my face or hair during the day. Transferring the dirt from my grubby fingers onto my skin is bad bad bad
guest
@minphatuation@xanga - i totally agree with you on that!

I use the foam wash suggested in #1 already and the matching toner.
I disagree with Fructis but that could just be my hair. and i think #4 is most important and eating right should be on the list.
guest
Drinking water a lot helps…I think.
I dunno about flawLESS skin..but…yeah.

I wish i had flawless skin, but hell i was cursed with pimples that won’t ever let me be it seems.

Lots of water, plenty of sleep, minimal intake of foods that wreak havoc on your digestion, and avoid stress.
It’s hard.
Stress is a huge factor for many people when it comes to skin. But if you can avoid it, and follow the steps about, it works out great. Also if you have blemishes or beginning to, the sun does help with those, but sunscreen is a must.
I love Garnier Fructis products, however I’m told by a professional stylist, that it’s one of the worst products for your hair. I still use it though. ^_^
