I actually like that jacket…It really wouldn’t go with any of my stuff and I don’t know if it suits me…and having worn marching band jackets I might start having flash backs.
It looks great with that oufit, but it’s not my style. I probably would’ve put a more… “preppy/girly chic” twist on it, lost the studded belt, and paired it with white peeptoe heels or something like that.
the jacket and white mini dress look adorable together, but I’m not a fan of the black leggings and boots unless you live in a rural forest, then it seems suitable to climb trees and whatnot. I’d probably wear some maryjane chunky heels with this outfit I wouldn’t wear all those bracelets, just wear the rings, because the chains on the jacket are already enough accents. I’m not sure which specific places to wear this marching band outfit though. maybe to the bookstore or sitting outside of a coffee shop table while enjoying a cup of mocha latte and blueberry muffin
I love it on the girl but I don’t think I’ll love too much on me. =P

I could never do the marching band jacket thing. I was in marching band in high school and if the trend jacket is anything like the real thing, they’re ungodly hot and awkward to move in.
I have to get me one of those. The chains are my favorite part.

This outfit is incredibly cute and currently trendy. You have great taste! I would definitely sport this jacket and a similar look if I had the chance.

This kinda pisses me off, actually. I wore one of those for 4 FRIGGING YEARS IN HIGH SCHOOL. They were uncomfortable, scratchy and hot but they stood for a code of ethics–marching band dorks everywhere unite! Now everyone can just go out and get one and it’s considered fashionable? Not cool. I liked them better before this “trend” thing came to be. I say don’t wear one if you don’t even know what they’re all about! Yes, it’s JUST a jacket—but try telling that to a kid who spent waaaaay too many summers out on a scorching hot parking lot wearing one, feeling like they were going to pass out every set. To this trend I say: NEXT!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the jacket, it is totally something I’d wear! I love jackets like this. I like the outfit, but the jacket makes it, I think.

I never thought I would see marching band and style intersect. Freaking hot – literally and figuratively, unfortunately. Four-kilo uniforms leave their imprint on you.
But fashion’s probably mangled the jackets into some lightweight fabric, minus the clunky multiple zippers and buttons and fabric panels. Yeah, I’d wear that.
(I really just clicked here because I saw MARCHING BAND and went like the band geek I AM <3)
