if it has THAT little fabric and it’s not covering anything, why not just make it a two piece?

I wouldn’t because I have huge hips and they make them look even bigger. Plus, you can’t really swim in one of those comfortably.

What’s the point of skipping a bikini?  They basically do the same thing…I wouldn’t wear it because I am not comfortable with flaunting that much skin.

I love the third one especially, but the others are beautiful, as well.  I wouldn’t wear these specific designs because I don’t have the boobs for them, but they’re still gorgeous.  And, anyway, the second one doesn’t look like it has that much more fabric, so I’d probably just choose a two-piece over it.  Feels less “taboo,” I guess.

I think the one piece is sexier in the whole sexy-librarian sense. Our first response to it is of indifference, so when we see it like this, it seems so much sexier and more sensual than a two piece.

As for wearing them, I’m not much of a swim person to begin with, but I prefer swim-skirts. I don’t like having a visible seam right over my butt.

I like the last one. The second one shouldn’t be advertised as a one piece. It looks more like a two piece with some strings holding the pieces together. haha. They’re all nice though.

i have a very curvy body that is by no means perfect, but i own one similar to the 3rd one, but without the hole in the middle.  i like them because it accentuates what i have going for me, while hiding enough of my tummy.  as far as swimming, i think its more comfortable than a regular 2 piece because your gut isnt out in the open for the whole pool to see. 

I wouldn’t. I only wear bathing suits to swim, and those don’t look too swimable.

I still haven’t gotten on board with these monokinis.  I think even if I felt confident enough to wear one of the really bizarre cuts, I’d be too concerned about how ridiculuous my tan lines would look.  Maybe if I was going swimming in a hotel pool, lol.

I wouldn’t wear them. I am a pretty active swimmer I don’t think they would hold up to my level of water sports.

Well I am A fashion design major so of course I look at clothes as an art as well as something to keep shelter from Earth’s elements. The swim suits above are ever functional and beautiful to me. Now there are some that are made just to sit in and look cute in and other are to be shown off and worn in water.

One pieces are boring if they look like leotards, they need some kind of edge so a woman can sit in a store for hours trying to decide which one looks better. Lol. Just something to think about.

NO WAY!!!  Those are too revealing.  Bathing suits don’t have to look like underwear (actually, they are more revealing than underwear).  Sometimes I wonder what became of fashion trends….(the amount of fabric is shrinking!)

i love them.  but i couldn’t pull it off.  i’m pretty short and have wide hips so it wouldn’t be very flattering :/ but if i was taller and better proportioned i would definitely get one.

If I saw a girl wearing one of these to a swimming pool or water park i’d smack her immediately! It’s obviously more fashionable then functional. for the second one it looks like one lap in a pool would have all those little string torn apart. I think its too attention grabbing and I HATE being looked at like that so I won’t be wearing one of these this summer.

I can’t stand those things.. they’re ugly and in my opinion not flattering at all. Just wear a two piece if you want to show off your figure. If you have the body to even slightly pull off those contraptions then you WILL have the body for a two-piece. Besides, those things would give you really awkward tan lines.O_o

I like them. I have one that’s a similar style to the first. I had a kid and have terrible stretch marks on my belly so it covers those up while still showing off my back and sides and not making me look like I’m wearing my grandma’s suit. The only problem I have is that I have a big butt, but small boobs. When I wore two-piece suits I almost always had to get a small top/medium bottom or xsmall top/small bottom depending on my size at the time/brand. I still like ‘em though.

Eh, I don’t like those, personally.  I do like the more old-fashioned style ones – the ones that are almost like really short, somewhat ruffly dresses – but I’m not sure if you would consider those as much sexy as flirty.

See to me there’s this: a 2 piece looks soooo similar to just a regular bra and panty that u could buy at Victoria’s Secret! I think everyone is missing the fact that a one-piece, sexy or not, does not come off in vigorous swimming or diving. A bikini easily can. As a lifeguard myself, I’d say that’s a plus. But I’d rather be wearing a T-shirt over it all when I go out all day (for work, at least), so I think I’ll pass. But for fun, I think they’re nice, and I’d wear one.

And hey, if you’re going to the beach in your teeny bikini just to tan, I just don’t see the fun in that aside from getting skin cancer. Swim suits are for just that – swimming. Have some real fun, guys!
