Question of the Day:
Now that it’s getting sunnier, do you wear sunblock? What’s your favorite brand?

I wear Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 30 on my face. Otherwise, I do not wear sunscreen. (:

Yes. Even though I have medium skin, I wear it. The sun’s ray don’t discriminate.
My favorite brand is Neotrogena’s Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 70. It’s especially good since I can put it on in the mornings and then babysit all day and play out side with the kids without having to reapply.
No, guilty. -__-
never. (on purpose)

I wear it because its all year sunny in Malaysia. I can’t find an ideal sunblock yet. Most of the sunblock that I’ve used makes me feel sticky and oily when I used them. I’m looking forward on sunblocks that stay matte, non-sticky and non-oily.
For my face, I just use my daily BB cream. Good enough to protect my skin.
yep. i wear it all year. fully protected. cant really seem to find the perfect one! i might try the lancome one.i always wear above 50 spf
I wear 50 block i’m pretty fair

I usually don’t. Which is probably horrendously bad. I mean, right now, I try and tan in the early spring. And then once I’m sufficiently tan, I’ll probably end up getting some so I don’t burn. Otherwise, I don’t tan whatsoever if I wear sunscreen.
I could use suggestions as to what kind, though

I don’t wear any, but I don’t show much skin so most of me is protected from the sun all the time.

not under 50 block, and I tend to be sun allergic… I also try to protect myself from cancer and don’t love to be taned. I have a dermophile one at the time but want to buy a Logona one (because bio and non tested on animals but hard to find here -_-).I also have a nice sunshade ^^

Yes, I wear sunblock when I plan to be out in the sun for long periods of time. Brands don’t matter for me, wear whatever is in the medicine cabinet.

I have that goopy mess so I only put it on when I’m going out to play sports. But I love summer so I should really invest in a good, clean, light sunblock lotion. Any suggestions?
yes i do.im so scared of skin cancer and i usually spend 1h + a day in the sun (no shade as im running)
No D:I don’t get sunburned – ever – but I should probably pick up on the habit to wear sunblock…
Always on my face and most recently on my neck (getting paranoid about those rings on my neck that I just got rid of) and yes now that I am showing more skin will be looking into wearing it on exposed areas of the body.
@Illusions_chan@xanga - I like that sunblock too.
yeah, rain or shine. just because theres no sun doesnt mean the UVs wont get you. i wear imported sunblock.
it`s in my make up. my moisturizer. && my body lotion. after taking anatomy class & learning skin cancer is BIG. . . i made sure to stock up with sunblock protection in anything. lol.i want to try the fresh cooling soon. heard it`s nice.

I don’t wear sunblock on a regular basis even though I’m very fair-skinned & burn easily. The only time I ever really wear it is when I know I’m going to be outside for awhile, like at the zoo or lake or something.
I don’t wear sunblock coz I work the nightshift and I barely get sun.
nope,but i should
If going to the beach or pool, I use Coppertone SPF 50.
On a daily basis I just use Aveeno moisterizer with SPF 15 for my face. But I really want to try the Aveeno sunblock SPF 70.
I always wear sunblock because I’m very pale and very prone to sunburn. Since I’m so sun-sensitive, I have to wear SPF 95. Dx
yawwwpp but only on my face? hmm
YES.i’m half italian, so in reality i tan very well… but i’m ridiculously pale in winter and it takes a long while to get a base tan without frying myself alive.
i’m fond of any of the banana boat sunblocks.
YES! the sun ages the skin more than anything elese! Also a tan dose not go well with my style of clothing. its important to wear sunscreen all year round
@Mac_Libureet@xanga - Same here.
every single day. no skin cancer for me, thank you.
Of course I wear sunblock… I mean, you don’t think I actually want cancer do you? Contrary to some belief, dark skinned people actually do tan and burn. It hurts just the same. I tan very easily though which I haaaaaaaaate! Case in point, 10-15min. waiting in an unprotected turn lane in the sun will make me noticeably darker. So yeah, I try to avoid the sun at all costs

I don’t wear sunscreen as much as I should. When I do, I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer® Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55, 70 & 85. I’ve been using the SPF 70 and only just found out it comes in SPF 85. It’s oil-free and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky, which means any makeup I apply doesn’t get all caked up or make me feel like I’m wearing a heavy mask. And the fact that it’s sweatproof is a real bonus- I’m disgustingly sweaty pretty much all year long. I just have to remember to take it all off at night (I leave my facial cleanser on my face for two minutes, like a quick mask) or it clogs my pores.
yes, but that’s because I’ve had laser treatments.
i can never find a good sunblock thats nongreasy! ughs!

i should…to protect myself
however, i hate the feeling of sunblock x( its all oily and thick on my body
i need to get one :]
No, I only wear sunblock when I know I will be out in the sun for very long — amusement parks, beaches, etc. I just don’t like the sticky feeling of sunblock.

Of course! The sun’s rays are really intense! I use L’Occitane Very Precious Fluid SPF40.
i like Coppertone sport sunblock when i’m doing strenuous activities like running, biking, etc because it’s a light weight formula (reminds me of whipped cream) and doesn’t make me feel like i’m caked with sunblock after applying (plus, it doesn’t make me feel icky).
Other than that, i use Aveeno Positively radiient daily moisturizer (SPF30) as a daily sunblock.
I used Neutrogena SPF 50 last summer, it SUCKS. it was oily and everything. and when I was in a beach having fun with my friend, Neutrogena literally melted on my face, my friend said there were two ” white line ” on my face.
now I am using Arbutin.VC UV Milk spf 50+ pa+++
it ‘s very good for me .
I recommend you guys to try it .
@voguefemme@xanga - yea not to mention it’s been sick hot as of the late in KL.
My arms are one shade of brown, while my legs are another shade and my tummy and chest are even lighter.
I have begun top fear sun spots, so yes, I’ve been wearing sunscreen more religiously now. My mum has sun spots, and freckles, so I probably could get them, maybe not as much, as I am a lil browner than her.
I used to wear sunscreen religiously when I lived in Australia, but kinda slacked off when I got home.
I wear it when I know I will be out longer than about 15 minutes. I go straight to burning without stopping to tan, so it’s kind of important, even if I do hate the way it feels.
Nope coz Scotland doesn’t get much sun.
If I know I’ll be out painting for a long time, yes. But sometimes I get really lazy and not apply any on my skin other than my moisterizer on my face. Really, awful I know. Having some sun is good for moderation, just not too much. Even if you tan without burning, every human creature needs to use sunblock for the sake of health.
Sometimes I carry a parasol, lol.
When I’m going to the outdoor pool, or if I know I’ll be out in the sun for a long time.
I don’t have a favorite brand, anything will do ;o .
I don’t use sunblock, if i do occasionally i’ll get really burnt. When i don’t use sunblock, i’ll tan easier and hardly get burnt =]
Yes, I don’t have a favorite brand. I use what works.
I do when I spend extended periods of time in the sun.
Yep! Always on my face all year round and pretty much everywhere else in the summer.
never never never. I never burn and I never wear sunblock. I know I’m going to get skin cancer, but whatever. I never wear sunblock.
i always wear sunscreen if i know it’s going to be a sunny day or if i’m going to be outside for a long time. i have very fair skin, so i burn really easy. i like Coppertone that is at least 50spf. (=
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer, definitely. But before spring, I use Shiseido Day MOisture Protection SPF 15.
I am 75 with a long history of skin cancer. (the safe kind) I also wear lip balm with sunscreen in it since I have a threat of cancer in my lips. My wife found a lip balm with high sun screen protection, but it has slight coloring in it. I refuse to wear that. People might get the wrong idea.
I don’t wear sunscreen, but I probably should..! I don’t want to get skin cancer D;! also.. I hate tanning so muchhh
I always wear sunblock during the summer. I have no brand preference when using sunblock. As long as it does the job.
I don’t like having to wear sunblock, so this summer I’m going to try wearing sleeves (not that it’s going to be a problem, since I’ll be in school anyway =P), but for my face I really like Aveeno’s Continuous Protection for Face. I used to use Neutrogena’s face sunscreen, but it makes my skin really oily after a few hours, even if I’m indoors. My face doesn’t get greasy with Aveeno even if I’m out running, and it doesn’t have that sunscreen smell like most other sunscreens do.
never, even though i should since i swim every day and i might get skin cancer for not taking care of my skin
I do, I have pretty fair skin and I burn really easily. As I get more color throughout the summer I use lower SPF, but I always use something!! I mostly use NO-AD brand. Not very well known, and not easy to find.
there is sunscreen in my foundation.i would never use nutrogenia, they test on animals :’(
no but i should. i dont tan or burn usually because i dont go out when the sun is at its strongest.
i hardly ever wear sunblock, i only get burnt if im in the pool or lake, which turns into a base tan and then i can get color, and once i start getting color i get tanorexia really easy lol so no sunblock it is usually!
