I was instantly drawn to her shoes. Thinking, “wooo, cuuute.”
Naturalizer Lately. Stonehenge Leather ($79.00)
I never knew dress shoes like these can go with smashing outfits like the one above. It’s so simple and clean, and it looks awesome! I should get myself a pair; I got a pair of shoes from Naturalizer last month but am stuck on what outfit to wear them with because my style isn’t very dressy.
Any suggestions on what to wear with these for a casual day without looking like I’m heading to an office job? Oh and my new flats, any suggestions on breaking shoes in?

I think it would look adorable with dress shorts along with a blousey white top or button down white shirt – adorable!

Medium length cotton skirt with a brown print on it or a medium length jean skirt is what I’d wear them with. They are different and would be hard to pair with something.
Maybe even white capri pants…

those..skirts that you look like you’re going to work with.

Jeans work.

skinny jeans would work if you don’t want the dressy look.
guest
skinny jeans would be good with either. i have a pair of shoes almost exactly like the black pair and i love them! they’re good examples of shoes that can be dressy and casual

O.o those are cute. I would probably wear knee highs with them with short skirts and a loose sweater.

I dunno, I like heels with skinny jeans so…

I agree with some above commenters, skinny jeans would do the trick.

Skirt first came to mind for me. Maybe a medium length one because a longer one would look too. . .like, 1950s, and a short one would look funny because these aren’t exactly what I would call hooker boots.

Skinny jeans.
Or I think it’d look really good with a tunic and some opaque black tights.

i agree with some, skinny jeans….go for it =]

I learned this trick from the girl who works at Bakers shoes, to break your shoes in rub chapstick on your feet. Not the same tube you use on your lips, get a tube of cheap chapstick just for your feet. Rub the chapstick in places that your feet usually get blisters and it will create a protective barrier over those parts of your feet.

Trouser jeans and a plain cami. Skinny would work, but they’re not my favorite look. Just remember to accessorize! Play up your shoes with a cute handbag (maybe with a bamboo grip), get some funky earrings, maybe instead of the earrings sling a scarf around your hair.

Hmm yeh, skinny jeans.

Breaking in flats? Ouch. I just keep bandaids handy and wait it out. The first week or so of school is always the worst because I’m always in new flats :/
@Anna_Banana_8605@xanga - I might have to try that though!

the naturalizer lately is cute.

for the first pair, they’d be cute with a skirt, capris, or jeans. I’d probably do capris or jeans if I were going for casual. The second pair trouser jeans or dress pants only.

I love cute heels with skinny jeans and plain white tees and pearls. try it. i dare you.

I try to wear them around the house with a pair of socks for a little while. Or just around the house in general so that if I start getting blisters I can shed them fast.

I didn’t know this was posted, been off xanga for couple of days.

Definitely not my usual converse slap on something style of shoes. I will definitely try a pair of skinnies or 50s dress with it. Maybe even a nice sweater or blouse like you guys suggested! Capris sounds good too, for casual days! Gives me some idea to work with! Awesome.
@Anna_Banana_8605@xanga - @lissalinn@xanga - @xo_vintagelove_xo@xanga - I’ll have to try the chapstick idea, I will hate blisters…eeks. Never tried the sock idea either, thanks!
@fuzzi_mushroom@xanga - @cork8board@xanga - oOo. pencil skirt, that’s another thing i’m willing to try. very not my usual, but i’ll love to try it. and skinnies and white T eh? I am gonna try that too, thanks!
@d0llh0use@xanga - and yah. surprisingly they do have some cute shoes that i would love to try. well…cuz dress shoes are really not my style like i said. i don’t own runners, all my shoes are mostly converse.

Love the first pair of shoes!! The second ones aren’t really my style, but they could be cute with wide-leg pants, a button-up shirt and a cardigan.

This is my method to break into new shoes..rub a candle stick (dont light it up while doing this LOL) on the edges of the shoe that rubs against ur feet. Its a life saver!
guest
a vintage style dress with some white pearls would look great with the bottom pair!
guest
dark denim jeans with a solid-colored or floral-patterned tunic with a belt. topped with a fitted blazer would look nice too.
guest
AHH! I love the brown ones!
Where did ya find themm?!
Yeah, I suggest, just a pair of dark skinny jeans, a white v-neck and a nice hat or something to top it off.
guest
Everyone’s pretty much covered it, but I have to say, I love that pair in the top picture, they’re adorable!
guest
cute!

I definitely agree with the bamboo handbag
