On the recommendation of many, I picked up Cover Girl’s Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner last week.
While it glides on easily and doesn’t scratch my eyes, it smudges worse than anything I’ve ever used before… I have panda eyes every time I check a mirror, even when I’ve only applied it along my top lid.
To make matters worse, it’s almost impossible to remove at the end of the day. Grrr.
Have you tried this eyeliner? How did you get it off? What’s been your biggest makeup disappointment?

This stuff makes my eyes burn at some point in the day whether I’m careful applying it or not.
I end up looking horrible after a huge, itchy, burning, watery mess.
And yes, I KNOW that sounds like a disease. Might as well be.

I like Rimmel London’s “exaggerate.” It comes in the CUTEST colors…
Though, it requires make up remover to remove, it doesn’t smudge easily.

Anything that promises hydration or promises to be a top quality lipstick that makes my lips look & feel like I made out with sandpaper. Make up is getting too damn expensive for trial & error now. I stick to what I’m familiar with.

I have no issues with this eyeliner, actually. I always have issues with lipstick staying on, though.

@xXxjelloxXx@xanga - yes yes yes! i love this eyeliner!

This eyeliner fails for me too.
But I have relatively oily skin.. maybe that’s it?

If you want something reasonable use Almay eyeliner crayon contour…its about $7 and I can wear it for a good 12 hours.

I prefer gel than the pencil or liquid liners.
Bobby Brown’s collection is wonderful; it never smudges plus it comes on any color you can imagine.

That’s why you don’t buy cheap drugstore makeup!
Invest in Fluidline by MAC. You have to apply it with a separate brush but it lasts forever, is pretty much goof-proof, and does not smudge even if you work out or whatever and just like the Bobby Brown, comes in pretty much all the colors of the rainbow.
People always tell me that MAC is too expensive for them, but would you rather buy 3 eyeliners that don’t work very well, or one that is top-notch and saves you a lot of grief? In the end it works out to the same cost.

I’ve had good luck with the Eye Liner Shadows from Bare Escentuals. They come in a wide range of colors and you can use it wet for a fine stronger line or dry for a lighter more smoky line. Even dry it stays on all day, but can be taken off with warm water and a washcloth. You do have to have the extra cost of the brushes needed to apply the liner.

Oh dang. I have the same problem with smudging when I use Revlon’s ColorStay eyeliner, except when I apply it to my waterline, it smudges at the bottom. I have no idea how to prevent smudging on my lower half of my eyes

Biggest makeup disappointment was actually Smashbox PhotoFinish primer. I wore it once, broke out, had to return it. I had a lot of high hopes for it but since then I’ve discovered that I just can’t wear primer at all– the silicones in them make me break out like crazy. Sad sad sad.

every makeup is disappointing for me. it’s all gross.

i love using bobbi brown’s gel eye liner..it works best for me..but if im lazy i use Rimmel London’s pencil liner..sometimes eye liner smudges cox of oily eyelids..my trick is to apply some concealer and skin tone eyeshadow before putting eye liner on..

I haven’t tried it, but thanks to you, I won’t. =)
I stick to Maybelline liquid eyeliner. I can rub my eyes as much as I want, and it won’t smudge. Not a lick. It’s great.

Yeah, I definitely tried that one time and it BOMBED. Ah well.

haha. smudges yet its hard to take off.

I’ve never used this eyeliner before. I like to stick with pencil. I use CoverGirl Perfect Blend.. I think that’s what it is called. I’ve never had any luck with the retractable eyeliners like that.
guest
to remove it, try to use some cream and wipe it with tissues…

vaseline on my lids for about
five minutes gets just about
any make-up off for me ..

I use this eyeliner. I like it, but the one thing I do need to do with that eyeliner is put my eyeshadow on AFTER the eyeliner, otherwise, like you said, I end up with panda eyes. But by putting eyeshadow on afterwards, its like it sets the eyeliner. It’s still a bitch to get off though. Though I must say that I kind of like it when my eyeliner doesn’t totally come off. Whatever doesn’t come off the night I wash my face and then again in the morning when I take a shower, sort of gives my eyes a smokey look the next day.

I’ve tried this eyeliner. I used a q-tip to dab a little bit of powder under my eyes, then applied as little of the eyeliner as possible. It catches the powder and doesn’t smudge this way. Also, only use 1 swipe and nothing thick. I never had a problem getting it off of my face but I use Dove face wipes every night before bed.

i use a bit of eyeliner, but i use a pencil one because the liquid or the kind you tried always smudges on me. my biggest makeup disappointment has been Cover Girl ultimate finish liquid powder makeup. it made my skin look cakey and felt horrible.
guest
I never tried it before, I’m actually wanting to purchase a couple more eyeliners but not this kind lol. The one from GOSH, MakeUPforever and Urban Decay would probably be the best oness.

I USE THIS ONE! The only reason I use it is because I need to use a retractable eye pencil to fill in the gaps between my lash line (I have very sparse eyelashes). I would use a normal pencil liner, but it’s too sharp. Since I apply product very close to my eye, I don’t wanna poke myself. I would also use a liquid liner, but my lashes get in the way and makes the liquid liner run all over the place. So I use Perfect Point Plus. It’s great for precision, and it glides well.
I have it in black, and I totally agree with you on how it smudges like crazy. It’s frustrating. But to me it’s easy to remove – just use an oil based eye make up remover.

@bluebear2cute@xanga - i’ve had that happen, yuckers.
i like rimmel’s twist eyeliner. especially the purple, i’m a lover for the purple (:
e.l.f.’s pressed powder sucks major balls. maybe it’s because they only have three shades, but it was too dark and heavy for me and made me look ORANGE.
guest
i have that eyeliner in black and i have the biggest smudges after 20 minutes of applying
its terrible.
guest
ahhh I hate that stuff! D:
I always accidentally buy that instead of the regular eyeliner I get.
it’s basically impossible for me to get on/off. ;(
guest
Tried and yes.. it smudges like…. oil? LOL.
guest
My biggest disappointment would have to be Great Lash.

My friend has this and she bought it to school once.
” on my hands.
I was playing around with it so i put it on my eyes and wrote “COVERGAL
It was the hardest thing to wash off when i took a shower.

recommend mac fluid line.. no smear and looks very sharp! though a little pricey
if not, try revlon pencil eyeliner. doesn’t smear and and a whole lot cheaper.
