these are so cute! I like the vase and the mirror.

Urban has a ton of stuff like that. I wish there’s one closer to me so I can go more often; the only one nearby is somewhere in D.C. :/

the magazine mirror and magazine vase are actually really easy DIY projects. We made picture frames with coiled magazines when I was in kindergarten! I’m sure you can find something about them online, then just pick up the mirrors or vases to decorate from thrift shops and garage sales.

I saw the mirror at the Urban near me and I wanted it so badly!

I love the vase and the mirror. Recycling items and turning them into new creative projects is something I love to do. As for my decor, I kind of just shop everywhere. I don’t have a specific place. I guess I’m not too, too picky.

hmm…its a good way to recycle past issues of magazines and all but, to be honest, I think they look kind of shoddy. Don’t think they will be my choice for home deco. I would go to IKEA or Zara Home instead.

I’m really upset that the Urban Outfitters in my mall closed

These are, indeed, very creative! I’ll make a note to drop by Urban Outfitters the next time I’m out. Thanks for sharing.

very creative and cute

I don’t really like these. I decorate my bedroom with my artwork.

very creative.
i haven’t been to Urban Outfitters in a while and because my family is moving into a new house, I probably should chck out some of their duds..

I adore Urban Outfitters. Almost all of my clothes are from there.
I really want that vase or mirror.
Very cuteeee.

I’ve seen that mirror! It’s a good idea but I wouldn’t pay that much for those things. If UO sold a book that showed people how to make recycled products, I would buy THAT.

I want the mirror.

$52 for a mirror and $18 for a vase made out of recycled pieces no thanks.
I don’t like to shop at Urban Outfitters because it’s too crappy materials for high prices. Unfortunately, it pains the fashionista in me.

are rice sacks even comfortable…
i want the flower hooks and pillows (if its comfortable). i usually shop at ikea cause its cheaper and you get a great feeling knowing you imported your own bed and put it up yourself *proud* or target. urban has a good concept…recycling. their doing earth a favor, i officially like them now

@lilacros3s@xanga - I was thinking the same thing about the pillows. Rice sacks aren’t comfortable at all. They’re made out of rough materials because they have to be durable. Those pillows are purely for decorative purposes, nothing else.

rather then buying the bags from urban outfitters, buy them directly from the poor people in the countries urban outfitters is getting the rice & feed bags from… like

multibag-p-756.html
they give polio and landmine victims who are disabled jobs.
or check out novica’s recycled home decor section. it’s a part of national geographic which allows you to buy directly from artisans all over the world

The tote and the mirror are kind of cute. I get some of my stuff for less than $10, though, so maybe if I’m really feeling go-green one day, I’ll check this stuff out.

why is the uk UO lame? (just curious lol)
guest
I love the mirror!

All of them, but probably the mirror and the pillows. They’d be cute in my son’s room.

I freaking love Urban Outiftters!
That site is seriously the reason why I want a job, haha.

Urban Outfitters has the most amazing household items. I have a recycled lantern that you can put a tea light in, the letter “a” hanging on my bedroom door that’s got a pretty floral scene on it, and some measuring cups shaped like flowers.
If I had the money, my entire apartment would be covered in Urban Outfitters decor.

recycling, ftw ! (:

haha now if i could just clean up my room and dump out all of my mismatching furniture and buy pretty ones… I would love to have a cool room.

I don’t think the UK Urban Outfitters is that bad! I liked the silver Christmas trees they had in there! I do hate how expenisive it is there though, even on sale, but I love that mirror… Sigh. IKEA is always good, except when you get into those dark alleyway-ish bits, you never know what might happen there!

I love UO!

I definitely want the mirror.

i like the mirror the best. its amazing.

I get stuff all over. Target has really nicely made and decently priced stuff. I like stuff on sale from Pier One. Big Lots is good for frames and junk.
guest
As much as I adore these items, they are SERIOUSLY too overpriced. Come on! $52 for a recycled mag mirror? It looks like it should go for $20! I wish I lived in UO.
guest
The only thing that is probably worth the money is the mirror, because think of the time it would take you to find, coil and glue all of those magazine pages together. Even then you wouldn’t get it perfect like that, that’s a machine that does that.
It also depends on how big the mirror is, if it’s a relatively good size then I’d rather buy it than spend a lot of time trying to make it. The totes are a good idea but the rest of the stuff is way too overpriced for stuff people could just find in their garbage.
guest
wow, i need to go there.

Can I get this in Australia!?!?!?
