That looks good on you. But I imagine on paler people, it just looks like they got suckerpunched.

I love it, and since I am gothic, I used to do it ! But I prefer  to mix grey and black powder, it is a little bit softer and make a great effect of shadow, lightning eyes.
The problem of this kind of make up is that everybody can’t do this… It depends on look. It is easy to look “gothic” without wanted it with this kind of make up, and the result is sometimes weird.

As long as the person trying it didn’t have bags under their eyes, they’d be good I think haha. Otherwise, I think it’s taking the smokey eye to the next level. Looks excellent on you.

All that makeup for “panda eyes” it’s cute but I’m not sure if I could pull it off.

That seems like an AWFUL lot of makeup, and while it looks great on you, it’d make me look much older.  And I’m old enough as it is. 

I would look like death if I did that.  I’m pale as a ghost.

I’m pale, pale, pale. Though once upon a goth phase I use to wear thick eyeliner, thick mascara, and red lipstick.

You pull it off well, but I don’t think I’d do so well with this look.

i’m not a fan of that look. it’s overdoing it for me.

That’s too much for me, I like wearing as little makeup as I can get away with.

It looks horrible, sorry.
There’s a difference between doing the smokey eye technique and overdoing with the color black. It makes it look unclean more than anything.

I’m not into the panda eye thing, so I don’t know if yours is good or bad. I know I’d never try it, because my eyes are actually my favorite part of my facial features and I feel like too much eye makeup would ruin them.

i think it looks pretty awesome!

i always have really bad dark rings under my eyes and i’m ghostly pale, so i’d look like a vampire if i tried it *sigh*

It looks great on you!!!  I’m so white, my skin is almost translucent….ok, not that bad, but you get the idea.  I feel like it would look super wrong on me.  XD

I mean, I wouldn’t advise you wearing that sort of make-up on an everyday basis, but when you need to glam it up, why not?
It’s dramatic and fresh. But some of those other people might be right about it not being a universal trend.

i always love a dark eye and i think it looks good on you, but i don’t think i could pull it off.

i usually do this with my liquid eyeliner, but i don’t apply the smokey eyeshadow part or anything. does anyone else wear their eyeliner thick, if so how do you do it? 

I think it’s way too over the top to be worn seriously…

It makes me nervous, like it might start dripping off your face or something.  I mean, not you specifically, but panda eyes in general.  I’m not that crazy with makeup, but every once in a while I like to use sparkly eye liner.

try taking a nap with your eyeliner on.

only some people can pull them off. people who typically have oblong eyes or very big round ones. otherwise it doesnt look so hot. a great complexion and olive tone also help. im pale and its not such a good look unless i get my face ultra porcelain and tanner.

I’m personally not a fan of the look. Why spend so much money on something like this when guys don’t even like makeup, especially 8 pounds of it around the eyes?

I love not wearing makeup. I pretty much never wear makeup, and when I do it’s such a thin amount of eyeliner that you’d have to observe closely to see it.

I remember a few years ago I was doing the panda eyes thing. My skin is so ridiculously pale, though, that it looked horrible. Plus, I’m one of the lucky girls who look better without makeup than I do with it.

Ha, I actually have a habit of rubbing my eyes anyway.. Thick eyeliner + Rubbing my eyes = Nightmare.

Plus as someone said right before me, it looks scary in real life. :/

hm i genetically have natural “panda eyes” and they get enhanced when i stress and don’t sleep. i wanna get rid of my panda eyes!!

and man. that’s just way too much makeup. raccoon mask/panda eyes are ridiculous.

Personally, I think it looks better on you than it does on the model.

They don’t work on everyone–you’re one of the lucky few that can pull it off without looking odd.

As much as I LOVE that style of make-up, I think I’d look pretty scary because I’m very pale…but I’m willing to try it, just to see.

its stupid. anything that enhances your natural look is worth it.. anything that makes you look like a animal or a rock probably isn’t. 

Eh, some people can pull it off, and some can’t. Personally I think it doesn’t look good on the general population of girls.

I would never go out wearing my make up like that. One, it doesn’t work on me (I have really small eyes you see. Doing that to my eyes would make them disappear altogether), and two, I don’t want people to see me as some unclassy, trashy whore.

I kind of like it, but I wouldn’t use as many products to create the effect and would probably make it a smaller area around my eyes (mainly around the lower lids). I may have to experiment sometime.

I tried to do it one time but with BarryM dazzle dust but it’s like the blackest black ever so i just looked like death itself.

I mean, it looks good on runway and in pictures…. but people walking around campus like that look like 5 different levels of ass.

So basically, it’s heavy (heavy, super heavy) black eye make up and the rest of the look is as neutral as possible? I dig it. Every time I do liner under my eyes I end up looking like a racoon by the end of a night (smuuuudge!). And considering I’m going for a panda look, I’d be hard if I finished the night looking like a racoon. There’s a joke to be made somewhere in there! Hehe!

Maybe I’m showing my age (I’m 35), but to me, this isn’t a ”look”.  Rather, this is ”Avril-Lavigne-For-The-Uncoordinated”.  Save this one for the runways, definitely. 

Hm… it works for high fashion, but most of the real life examples just come across looking dirty and whorish. Yours are actually the best I’ve seen. Let’s stick with the smoky eye, girls.

I don’t understand the point of spending so much money on makeup…it more or less looks the same as if you were just wearing eyeliner, which I do, anyway.

i like it! for me, it’s too much for every day wear. but to a party or on a night out i’d definitely try it. i went through a goth phase too and did this look but to a lesser extreme. i think it looks awesome on you and you did a great job with your interpretation! 

A lot of people cant pull off that look. I think you did a reeeally good job. Its like the new smokey eye, but its hard to make it look good.

absolutely a fan of this. i have blueish grey eyes, and to do the darker around them makes the blue pop. i generally do something mild for day to day.. always with black eyeliner and mascara, and sometimes with grey/black shadow.. but for going out i love it.

It looks good in moderation and depending on who’s wearing it. I’d wear it maybe like….twice a year. I wouldn’t do it everyday though. would probably go through tons of makeup and money on top of my eyes looking horrible from the look after taking it off.

When I was younger and first started wearing make-up, I kinda always ended up with a look like that since I was more into the goth look. Back then, everyone hated it and just called it goth or black eyes. I’m glad to see it back in style and with a nicer name.

I like it. Hmmm, craziest makeup I’ve ever done? I was with my best friend, and she had bought some bright, bloodred lipstick. It didn’t go so well, darker colors like that look really bad on me. And she said I looked like a vampire because my skin is so pale.Lol

I’ve done my makeup like this before, but every guy I know hates it. My boyfriend things I look great naturally, so I don’t feel the need to wear buttloads of makeup.

The style is overdone and shouldn’t be worn in normal everyday life. It makes people look like crack whores, honestly. Makeup is supposed to make you look better, healthier, more awake. A bunch of black makeup around your eyes definitely doesn’t do that at all.

On models or in magazines? Maybe.

Smokey eyes can look nice. But this is way too much.

Yeah, a tutorial would be helpful.This is a nice look depending where you’re going. Special occasion kinda’ thing, not something I’d just wear out in the day time. Also one of those things that’d probably look awful with little practice. It’s iffy, but I do like the look.

I like the panda eye look. I did notice however, you did a softer faded out edge on the shadow and you went a bit higher than just the lid where as the model pictured above has a panda look that’s cleaner. It looks great either way though =D.

i think it looks great!  not something i’d wear on a daily basis but more for a special event or clubbing or something of that nature. 

That would NOT look good on me at all – I’d look like I’m sporting two black eyes. Haha, but kudos to you and to anyone else who can actually pull it off.

I’m really not a fan of this look on anyone. Runway models can do it because the point is to have something look interesting, not necessarily GOOD…

i love this look and usually wear it, lately i’ve been wearing lighter makeup to switch it up but panda eyes are the usual.

i love it! i’ve been thinking about trying this look recently but still waiting for an occasion to try it because wearing my makeup to work like that probably wouldn’t be appropriate it haha but i think it’s a great going out look.

That’s pretty hawt. I saw something similar in the independent film “Happy Joy Doctor Panda Hump House”, which was a documentary about some guy who jumped over the fence at various zoos in a lab coat with some lubricant.

This would look great matched with something that is silver or white. The lighter the clothes the better with these eyes.

I find it ironic that ppl claim its too much makeup but i see many girls go over the top with bronzers and foundation..aka high school teeny bopper makeup..
