This has never happened to me before, but I got rug burn from my boyfriend’s chin!
He didn’t shave, and we were kissing. The next day, my chin was bright red. I felt like I had run sandpaper through it.
I called him to complain: “You busted the hell out of my chin!” He was confused, so I had to explain how he’d have to shave next time.
I’ve been moisturizing my chin ten times a day, but it still looks like I have a weird skin malady.
Has this happened to anyone before? What product did you use to make it better?

“Busted” isn’t a word.

Haha…I have very sensitive skin, so I do yell at my boyfriend to shave before he gets anywhere near my face. I would just do a really intensive moisturizing regime, it should get better soon.

I wrote my true love a letter and it said, “I love you and there is a very important thing I need to tell you. You scratch me with your sandpaper face when you kiss me. Could you please shave? Thank you! That would be a beautiful way you can serve me and show me that you care!” He shaved immediately after he read the note. He has shaved every day since! I’m sorry I don’t know what to put on your “rug burn” but just let your man know and he’ll want to help you any way he can!

hahaha, nope never had that happen to me.
I would suggest aloe though. Not too much, or your chin might get a little sticky, so if you want to put a LOT of aloe on, do it before you go to bed. =P

Ouch.

I get this sometimes too. My husband doesn’t like to shave.
Try aloe, it’ll help soothe the burning/itchy feeling. Don’t worry…it’ll go away pretty soon!!

i like the feel of my boyfriends scruffiness against my face
am i weird?

The title scared me. Good thing you’re not severely injured or anything. I had a mentle picture of your chin chopped in half like a cleft chin. 0__0!!!

I have had the same problem before..lol so I use Cortsone 10 or aloe vera gel.. both work good:)

LOL. i’ve never had that issue. sorry that happened to you though!

Try Estee Lauder’s Night Repair. It’s pretty good stuff, not just for that sort of thing but for scars and sunburn and things.

You need to exfoliate your chin and THEN use a good moisturizer. I’ve had this happen with any guy who shaved, even if he had just shaved! I really prefer when guys have some facial hair – it’s softer! (plus I think it’s cute
)

Nope never happened to me…maybe because I have dark skin, and also because I dont do beards.. my bf knows he must stay shaved at all times…LOL

There’s this thing called Vitacilina, i don’t know if they sell it in the states?

personally, i love a man with facial hair. if he likes his facial hair, have him grow it out a bit longer so that the hair isn’t so rough and stubbly. trimming a beard instead of shaving will make the hair softer.

You haven’t “busted” your chin until you’ve gotten hit by a hockey puck and had to cope with your chin being all black for a whole week.
All you need is lubriderm.
guest
Punish him by not plucking your chin and mustache hairs. That’ll show him.
guest
It’s happened to me before. Just have to not touch it and keep it moisturized!

@shes_lump@xanga - ha, I was just thinking that. I love the feel of stubble, though it can leave a little unpleasant rug burn…
guest
You should buy him a razor.
guest
man that sounds terrible. make him shave or wear a chin guard next time. and i’d put some antibitoic ointment on your rug burn, just to help it heal up.
guest
I end up doing that to girls that I kiss. I feel sorry for them.

@its_me_katie@xanga - Same here! I was like “he did WHAT?!”
guest
I refer to it as beard burn, haha.
it’s happened to me loads of times. a guy I dated could grow a pretty gnarly beard in about a week, so his face was always, at the least, a little sandpaper-y.
I always just put moisturizing lotion on my chin.
guest
ouch

aw
that’s never happened to me but sometimes my skin reacts to my bf’s beard and it turns red but i just wait it out until it gets back to normal.
guest
wow, now you have me scared.
guest
i get it all the time on my upper lip. it looks like i have skin allergies or something, i hate it!
guest
I HATE when that happens! i try not to kiss him that intensely so the facial hair doesn’t scratch me. usually i end up having to put lotion on anyways. it’s annoying as heck lol
guest
@NightCometh@xanga - actually “busted” is a word!

It has happened to me before. But some vitiamine E on it (you can get it in liquid form at a local store). Vitiamine E fixes the skin. I used it last winter because for some odd reason my nose (on the sides~I looked like a red nose reindeer) was really dry and chapped. Any lotion I used just made it more red. Thats when I started using vitiamine E. I promise it will work! =)

@sassypants_18@xanga - It’s slang.
