More often than not, I have bags under my eyes. They appear so well, especially since I can’t seem to have a good night’s sleep.
I wake up every couple of hours through the night and it takes half as long just to fall asleep. I can surely have a good night’s sleep since I usually have work at 8-9am and finish at about 4 in the afternoon. I get weekends off and I find that I just want to stay in bed for as long as I can before having to actually get up.
My mom has told me lately that there are dark circles around my eyes if you look closely and carefully. I have been noticing bags under my eyes, too, and they are not tiny either. Sometimes I do get a good night’s sleep and they’re still huge.
Is there any way of getting rid of them — does anyone with(out) this problem have any recommendations? Is there anything (cream or something else) that works really well?

i have the same problem. i put on a mask at night (the cooling ones) and have that bare minerals stuff just for my eyes.

Well, Mary Kay offers an eye revitalizer which targets the dark circles and puffiness under and around you eyes.
You can find it here:

In the mean time to help hide the circles you could use a yellow concealer. Simply dab across the bottom of the eye and then blend with your foundation.

Hope that helps a little.

Girls, girls, girls….My new friend gave me the best kept secret in the world…THis is her site link…

She suggested egg whites to firm skin, whiten skin, and tighten it. I took her advice on the night of going to a funeral for my deep wrinkles. It works like a charm. My wrinkles are way less deep now and hardly noticeable with concealer…YES!!
Also, last night, due to lack of sleep, I have major bags under my eyes. Used the egg white mask today and bam…all gone and I look fabulous, perky, perky, perky!! She’s a genius! Check out that site. She also has all the new wonderful creams and best kept secrets to great-looking skin. I love her to death with discovering the egg white facial mass. You can use an egg right in your own home and within a few minutes, you should look fabulous,
Give it a try. See her site for instructions..so simple!

The absolute best thing you can do is sleep better! I know that might sound ridiculously impossible, but you should make an effort to change the bodily things inside before using products to fix it on the outside.
Exercising actually improves dark circles, because it increases blood flow all over your entire body.
Using ice cubes under your eyes, and cucumbers also help!! Any eye cream that is filled with beneficial nutrients and vitamins will also help.
More water and more sleep helps too.

I have them, but mine are due to heredity most often….but I don’t sleep well either so they get worse on those days.
Clinique’s moisture surge under eye gel works best IMHO. After it sinks in, I use Smashbox’s photo finish for dark circles. Once my put my foundation on and set it, I then use Benefit’s Powderflage for a final touch.

I naturally have ‘bags’ under my eyes, not dark circles, so I’m not sure.

Oh one more thing – staying hydrated also makes the circles diminish a lot!

Psshh, just slap some Preparation H on them.

@simply_steffy@xanga - what about the mary kay indulge soothing eye gel – how does that one work
compared to the eye revitalizer =S
The description on the mary kay website about the Indulge Soothing Eye Gel was pretty brief for me

drink tons of water. it’ll help replenish the eye area with fluids.
ive heard that people use tea bags (after they are steeped) as a compress over the eyes.. but i havent tried that so i dont know if its good. but im guessing the caffeine would help with the eye bags.
there are tons of eye creams/gels out there that claim to get rid of your eye bags and dark circles. however, i dont know which ones actually are good. currently, i use nivea aqua sensation eye creme. not too sure about getting rid of dark circles.. but it is really moisturizing. i think it does help with eye bags since i feel that mine have improved after i used it. hope that helps.

Hemorrhoid cream underneath the eyes will get rid of puffy eyes. That’s what I’ve heard in medical school

@phuck_diz_shiz@xanga - The only difference in the soothing gel is that gets rid of puffiness and doesn’t really do anything for the dark circles. At least that’s what I’ve experienced.

I hate both puffy eyes and dark circles, and i have them both.
Puffy eyes/bags under eyes- caused by crying, allergies, sickness, heredity, lack of sleep OR too much sleep, bad circulation in your lymphatic system, too heavy of a moisturizer. damn, so many causes >_<
Dark circles- actually a build up of oxidizing blood from the tiny capillaries under you eyes…so as far as i know products can only mask the problem, not fix it, even temporarily. it’s easier to see on people with very pale, thin skin, aka ME
I haven’t found a way to get rid of both for me, because I have a serious case of both. Maybe I should just give up and go goth

When washing ur face in the morning, splash ur face (especially ur bags) with cold water. I read this in a magazine and it said that it does something to the blood vessels to make bags go away. So, i tried it and it worked!! hope this helps!!

@abcxunt@xanga - haha i use bare minerals stuff for my eyes too. it works really well!!

Well, I wet Q-tips and put them in a Ziploc bag and then stick it in the freezer. In the morning, I just take one out and swipe it under each eye, it works great!

Don’t drink too much water at night especially before you go to bed, and sleep with your head elevated at about 50 degrees.
Keep used teabags in the fridge and apply for a few minutes in the morning. Works for me. Or you can apply an ice cold spoon to the undereye area.
During the day, drink more water to help with the undereye circles. Exercise, yes. And avoid too much caffeine!

I have hereditary dark circles that are always there, no matter how much sleep I get (I have no bags, however). I’ve tried out so many concealers, and the absolute best one is Lancome Retouche; I use it every day and it brightens up my eyes and in natural lighting, my dark circles very nearly disappear. I recommend you try it

i also heard of Hemorrhoid cream- yawpp Preparation H. sounds gross? but i heard it does work..

I have had a big problem with puffy eyes for the past couple of years and have tried loads of different creams which have done no good. i have recently been using a eye gel from sainsburys called champneys super cooling eye gel and unbelievably it is working. i have had remarks from my husband and best friend
saying my eyes are looking loads better and they really are. it costs around £7.50 and i would definetly recommend giving it a try. Hope this helps.
