Why do I love Target? Well, where else can you go get toothpaste and toilet paper, and walk out with new chic clothes for your wardrobe? Definitely not Walmart. What makes Target clothes so special and unique is that they hire real designers to create their apparel, unlike Forever 21,Wet Seal, K-Mart and Walmart. In fact, Forever 21 likes to steal a lot of their designs from designers.

(The quality is pretty top notched too compared to other retail stores).

They have endless amazing selections of style and designers from teens to older sophisticated women to sleek maternity moms! They signed on the talented designer Isaac Mizrah years ago to help steer Target in a new direction with fashion.

My favorite line that Target introduced a few years ago is their oh-so-chic:
Go International line. Affordable designer clothes for each season! What more can you ask for?

The Go International line has featured amazingly gifted and internationally known designers such as:

    * Luella Bartley (January 2006)
    * Tara Jarmon (May 2006)
    * Paul & Joe by Sophie Albou (August 2006)
    * Behnaz Sarafpour (November 2006)
    * Proenza Schouler (February 2007)
    * Patrick Robinson (May 2007)
    * Libertine (July 2007)
    * Alice Temperley (September 2007)
    * Erin Fetherston (November 2007)
    * Jovovich-Hawk (March 2008)
    * Rogan (May 2008)
    * Richard Chai (August 2008)
    * Jonathan Saunders (October 2008)

My Favorite of the bunch are Patrick Robinson, Libertine, Alice Temperley, and Richard Chai.

Whenever a new season of Go International line is released, pick them up fast because they are only available for 90 days. What I do is wait 2 weeks when they are on sale, but if you wait 4 weeks, they drop the prices down to 50% and sometimes 70% off. I would know because I am a Go International whore.

Target is also doing us a favor by bringing us an INFAMOUS designer to the mass market.
It will be under a new line, not to be mistaken with Go International.

Designer Collaborations.

Mr. McQueen, we welcome you to the mass market with open arms.

Don’t freak out! As beautiful as his couture gowns look, he will be bringing us his earlier work like the photo below. Punk inspired. I love the layers and I love the limited neutral colors.

I went to Target to pick up more toilet paper. Unfortunately (for my wallet) but not regretfully (for my closet) I auto pilot my way into the women’s apparel section. They had a huge sale! Take 30% off of the original priced items! I was in heaven because their Go International line was on sale too.

Here are some of my favorite pieces out of all the items I picked up.

This was my original outfit. When I shop, I like to wear a simple top and black shorts. It’s easier and less of a hassle than wearing Jeans. Also, wearing black shorts can give you a better silhouette of your outfit, so it gives you a better idea.

I started off with this cute bat winged kimono inspired striped tunic. Very cute and spunky. As you can see, I love Black and White.

Next I tried on this cute cream-colored top. I love the ruffles and the material is very thick yet soft. It’s more feminine. I paired it with this faux rabbit fur cropped jacket!

Next I tried on this classy tux top. I am in love the the lacing and detail. It is definitely versatile. You can layer this and wear it in many different ways.

I love the white one more. It looks so chic and  classy. It is all about mixing and matching. Have fun with textures and colors. Don’t be afraid to try new things!

Oh, my favorite piece. This Kimono flutter sleeves top. It looks so expensive right? Wrong, it is only $14.99! You can pair this with sheer tights, wear them with black shorts, and pair them up with sexy heels. This is a more sophisticated yet chic look.

Last but not least, this magenta tunic with a  built in scarf I think… I wasn’t sure if it was a scarf or just something you let hanging on your shoulders, but it looks better as a scarf. You can take this look from day to night easily!

So I had a lot of fun trying on these clothes. Of course I bought a few items. The black and white tux top. The black flutter kimono top and I also bought that same top in Navy. I purchased the faux rabbit fur jacket, but it’s quite pricey: $79.99. I may return it and wait for it to go on sale. I like to wait for my bait!
I love shopping, but I love saving money more. Visit your local Target and see what they have that fits your style and needs! You never know, you might find a great deal.

Is anyone else a Target fanatic? Is there a special store that you like to shop at because it has great fashion and sales?
